Chapter 6 – As for what she would do in the future, she would decide later after the upcoming disaster was averted. (3)

However, she could see that this kid still had a pretty good personality. He was lively and extroverted. His personality was super cute.

Ruan Xia didn’t know that this was all thanks to Father Ruan and Mother Ruan whitewashing her character.

The chubby kid started nursery school last year. On a normal day, he rarely had any interactions with his mother. On holidays, his mom would drop him off at his grandparents’ home. Like other neglected children, he would ask his grandparents if his mom didn’t like him. Why didn’t his mom want to spend time with him? Why didn’t she miss him? Did she not care about him at all…

During those times, Father Ruan and Mother Ruan would tell him that just like how his dad had to go to work, his mom had her own things she needed to do. Otherwise, his parents wouldn’t be able to raise him.

It was easy to deceive young children. He had immediately believe in this explanation, especially because his friends at nursery school also had parents that were very busy with work.

Dad was busy with his work, mom was also busy with her work. It was all for his sake.

Near the end of the visit, Ruan Xia came to the conclusion that it was really comfortable staying here. She didn’t understand why the original Ruan Xia’s was so opposed to going over to her parents’ home.

It had to be said that she wasn’t treated so highly by her own parents.

Sure enough, Father Ruan was a good man. He kept the house clean and was a skillful cook. He knew how to make everything. When Ruan Xia mentioned offhand that she was going to by a cake on the way home, Father Ruan immediately started baking. Before long, he had finished baking cookies as well as cupcakes.

It could be said that in this family, Ruan Xia only need to lie down and tilt her head up to be fed.

While Father Ruan was busy in the kitchen, Mother Ruan sat on the sofa watching TV with Ruan Xia.

A chubby kid on her lap, sliced fruit on the coffee table, and drool worthy smells coming out of the kitchen …

Ruan Xia almost didn’t want to leave.

As Mother Ruan fed her grandson fruit, she asked, “You’re going to City A tomorrow?”

“En.” Ruan Xia nodded. Actually, she didn’t know if she could prevent the upcoming disaster. “Little Wang’s dad has been in City A for almost half a month. He called me a few days ago to say that he missed Little Wang. Anyways, I’m not busy so I might as well pay a visit to City A and walk around there.”

“That’s the spirit.” Mother Ruan glanced at her son before continuing, “Right now, Little Wang isn’t old enough to know any better. Once Little Wang is older, if you don’t have a good relationship with your husband by then, the person that will suffer the most will be your son. Xiaxia, just get along with son-in-law. Even though he’s older than you, he’s a successful and good person. When all is said, you and Little Wang depend on him.”

Ruan Xia hadn’t seen Mr. Song yet. There wasn’t much information about this person in the original Ruan Xia’s memories either. There was even less information about him in the novel. Up to now, she hadn’t figured this person out yet.

As for what she would do in the future, she would decide later after the upcoming disaster was averted.

Later that afternoon, Father Ruan and Mother Ruan went out to buy watermelon while Ruan Xia and the chubby kid stayed on the sofa to watch TV. Halfway through the show they were watching, the chubby kid tugged her towards the kitchen.

Ruan Xia felt confused. The chubby kid’s strength wasn’t small either. “Little Wang, are you hungry?”

Little Wang didn’t say anything. He continued persistently pulling her to the kitchen.

The chubby kid led her to a large rice container in the kitchen. He easily took off the container’s cover and said to Ruan Xia, “Mom, you don’t need to keep working in the future. Look, there’s so much rice here. It’s more than enough. I’ll just eat less!”
