312 Days in City C

“Heh. Not doing anything wrong? Why are you leading us to those two, huh?” Marc snorted.

“Wang! Wang! Wang!” <Robby only felt that the smells are familiar, so Robby headed there!>

Unfortunately, both Lucy and Marc didn’t want to listen to Robby.

They just want to eat some snacks to ease their sour feelings. As for Robby, the poor dog could only watch as the two of them were enjoying snacks and he didn’t get any.

*whine*

<Jake and Lotte’s Location>

“Did I hear that familiar dog barking?” Lotte turned her head, trying to avoid Jake’s eyes as her face flushed red.

.....

She felt embarrassed and at the same time wondering whether Marc and Robby were nearby. If they were, it would be embarrassing to be caught when the couple was kissing each other.

“Ah?”

Jake’s entire attention was in Lotte. How could he have the time to care about the others?

Looking at Lotte’s shy look, he really wished to tease her more. But at the same time, they were in public and it was inappropriate to do anything more, so Jake curbed his feelings and took a deep breath.

After a moment, he looked around, trying to find traces of that naughty dog and the other members of Black Group.

“I don’t see anyone.”

“Really?” Lotte had calmed down but there was still a pink flush on her cheek. “Then I must have heard wrong.”

“Yeah.” Jake nodded. “That annoying dog had already taken my resources. I won’t let him disturb our date either!”

Lotte looked at Jake with amusement. Jake’s hatred towards Robby was mostly because of their competition in resources because the two of them have same elements. As a result, he always felt that his resources were taken by the dogs.

“Let’s eat something. It’s nearly time for lunch,” Lotte changed the conversation.

Jake smiled brightly. “Okay~.”

<Hotel in City C>

The three groups went on exploring City C on their own without bumping to each other again.

Marc and Lucy were glad because they didn’t let Robby lead them again. They feared that Robby might lead them to the others and made them the third wheel once more. The sour feelings were too strong, making them feel very uncomfortable.

Kate and Kyle had lunch and then walked around aimlessly before returning to the hotel. The atmosphere between the two of them prevented others from talking to them.

They didn’t want to be fed with dog food!

Jake and Lotte were more normal.

As a couple who had been dating for years, their showcase of love was naturally not so awkward and sudden like Kyle. They were more grounded and looked more comfortable and would not make others felt they were unable to be separated.

But it still gave others the same sour smell.

The next day, the group gathered in the lobby once more.

“Are you going to go in a group of two again?” Marc asked weakly. He didn’t want to go with the others mainly because he was worried that he would be watching them feeding dog food.

Anyway, there was nothing much they had to do in City C, so it was fine for these couples if they wanted to have date.

The premise was that the two single dogs plus Robby were not forced to watch.

“Do you not want to go together?” Lotte asked in confusion.

“No…”

Recalling yesterday’s experience, both Lucy and Marc shook their head. They would rather roam around on their own rather than being forced to eat more dog food by the others in front of them.

“I’m going to see the giant mutated plants today.” Kyle arched his eyebrows. “If we have to fight it, we should at least know some of the characteristic.”

“Aren’t they still retain the same characteristic as ordinary plants?” Jake looked at Kyle in confusion. “Just set them all in fire and it will be done.”

“What if you can’t get close and can’t set them up in fire?” Kyle rolled his eyes. “Also, don’t you want to know whether your elements are effective against these giant mutated plants or not?”

“Ah?” Jake was tempted.

Lotte also sat up straight.

Even though they spend the day before dating for an entire day, they were not here just to sprinkle dog food. They were here for the mission and naturally, it also meant that they could also do other things that would be beneficial to them.

Investigating the giant mutated plants in advance would be quite good.

“But the plants here are friendly. The people in City C would not agree with you experimenting on them,” Kate reminded.

“I’m only going to ask for some leaves so that I can test something. You still have my research equipment in your space, right?”

“Yep.” Kate nodded.

“Take them out so that I can set it up. Jake, Lotte, you two asked for several that giant cocoa leaves. Lucy, you guard and Marc, you will help me to take a look. Even if your lessons are different, you should be able to help.”

The others nodded and began to work.

Among them, only Kate and Marc could possibly help since they were quite smart. The others might not necessary able to operate the machine and helped.

Instead, they would definitely make trouble.

With the day spent in researching, another day in City C passed by.

“You’re done?” Kyle asked when Dylan finally came to pay a visit to them.

Dylan nodded. “Done.”

“In that case, let’s go.” Kyle waved his hand and the others stood up. They were getting bored in City C, so it was good that they could finally leave.

“There are many others who are watching our movement.” Jake thought of those other groups who had been eyeing them. It couldn’t be helped, their Black Group was a bit too famous after that incident.

“Don’t worry, they won’t be able to follow us.” Kyle pursed his lips and looked at Kate.

Kate understood his gaze and grinned.
