The Villainess Wants a Divorce:Beast Husbands Regret It to Tears-Chapter 61: Stolen Kiss
She saw Isaac Vaughn’s figure flashing and dodging on the water’s surface, the purple spiritual power fiercely clashing with the Great Viperdile’s sharp claws.
Wyatt Yardley’s figure moved like a ghost, silently gliding in the shadows, aiming directly for the Fiend Beast’s vital points.
She still remembered the first encounter, when the Great Viperdile crushed an adult black panther in its jaws, flesh and blood flying everywhere.
At that time, it merely flicked its tail, stirring up enormous waves that nearly capsized their small boat.
Such a ferocious creature is now being faced head-on by Isaac Vaughn and Wyatt Yardley...
How could she not worry?
Could Isaac Vaughn and Wyatt Yardley really hold out?
If something were to happen to them...
She dared not think further.
"Don’t panic."
Evan Orwell’s voice was steady.
"Isaac Vaughn is Green Rank; dealing with a Green Rank creature is more than manageable."
A Green Rank Cultivator can already manipulate Heaven and Earth Primordial Qi, with spiritual power solid enough to form a Spirit Blade, far beyond any Green Rank Fiend Beast.
Moreover, Isaac Vaughn’s spiritual power already far exceeds others of his rank, and his combat experience is extremely rich.
"Wyatt Yardley is not lacking either; the two of them working together will sort it out easily."
Evan Orwell spoke calmly.
He knew his companions, they weren’t the type to go down easily.
Seraphina Caldwell finally let out a breath, but she had already made up her mind in her heart.
If they can get that Beast Crystal this time, it must be given to Evan Orwell.
Evan Orwell often suppressed his own desires to advance in order to protect her, giving his resources to others.
But she couldn’t keep owing like this.
Until she found her father, she could only rely on these Beast Husbands for support.
The stronger they are, the greater her chance of survival.
She no longer wanted to see anyone get hurt for her, nor did she want to experience the helpless despair of watching a companion fall into a life-and-death struggle while she could do nothing.
On the shore, Gideon Larkin and Kaelan Hawthorne didn’t move.
They had long realized that the two didn’t need any help.
Isaac Vaughn and Wyatt Yardley’s coordination was seamless, already forcing the Great Viperdile into a desperate situation.
Adding another person might actually disrupt the rhythm.
They chose to watch quietly, both as trust and as a test.
A test of their companions, and a test of Seraphina Caldwell’s mindset.
In the water, Isaac Vaughn’s Spirit Blades struck one after another, slamming hard on the Great Viperdile’s tough armor.
The iron-like hard scales began to crack under the continuous heavy blows.
Wyatt Yardley, transformed into a Zenthor, wrapped around, instantly coiling tightly around the Great Viperdile’s stout body in circles.
The snake’s body suddenly twisted, binding the Great Viperdile so tightly it couldn’t even whip its tail.
Isaac Vaughn seized the moment, gathering all his strength, his spiritual power rushing from his brow to his fingertips like a tide.
A Spirit Blade, solid enough to almost take form, took shape in his palm, stabbing straight at the Great Viperdile’s eye socket!
The Great Viperdile convulsed in pain twice before its eyes rolled back, and its massive body slowly sank to the bottom of the water.
Wyatt Yardley dragged the carcass to the shore, using the snake tail to flick the enormous body onto the shallows.
He reverted to human form, grabbed the Great Viperdile’s head, and smashed it fiercely against a dark green boulder.
With a crack, the skull split open.
Then, he squatted down, using his fingernail to gently pry along the crack.
Evan Orwell descended slowly with Seraphina Caldwell, stopping a few paces away on the grass.
Seraphina Caldwell immediately jumped off his back, rushing over with steps that barely touched the ground.
She stared at the cracked skull, her brow furrowed.
"Is there a Beast Crystal?"
"I’ll help you find it."
Wyatt Yardley used his fingertip to dig out a piece of something crystal clear from among the brain matter.
"Lucky, it’s transparent."
Seraphina Caldwell’s eyes were wide as she quickly took the crystal.
She had never seen such a Beast Crystal before.
Unlike other Crystal Stones that appeared cloudy and gray, this seemed to be washed by moonlight, pristine and unblemished.
More curiously, it seemed to breathe light, with tiny colorful stars refracting within, twinkling on and off.
"Can I absorb this?"
She looked up and asked Wyatt Yardley.
She wasn’t asking for permission; she was afraid of choking herself if she swallowed it.
She’d never consumed such a thing, surely she wouldn’t actually chew on it?
Her mind conjured countless absurd thoughts.
But Wyatt Yardley misunderstood, feeling soft-hearted as he saw her questioning him, and reached out to tousle her soft hair.
"Of course you can."
"No matter how much you consume, I’ll find it for you."
He said this as he casually picked up the transparent Crystal Stone, gently placing it in her mouth.
The Crystal Stone melted upon contact with her tongue, flavorless except for a touch of coolness.
As soon as Seraphina Caldwell swallowed it, her body suddenly warmed.
The legs that had been weak from the journey filled with strength in an instant.
She looked up, her eyes bursting with vibrancy.
"I... I feel like I have endless strength! This sensation... it’s so real!"
Wyatt Yardley laughed, the corners of his eyes crinkling.
He then raised his hand, slowly opening his palm.
"Come, punch here, let me see how strong it is."
Seraphina Caldwell’s eyes didn’t blink.
She’d been itching to test what kind of power this Crystal Stone had bestowed upon her.
Without hesitation, she clenched her fist, her knuckles cracking, and swung it hard.
The moment the punch landed, the long-accumulated power burst forth instantly.
Wyatt Yardley staggered back half a step from the blow.
He was surprised, clearly not expecting her strength to be so astonishing.
Then, exaggeratedly, he clutched his arm.
"Ouch, that really hurt! Are you trying to cripple one of my arms?"
Seraphina Caldwell was dumbstruck, frozen in place.
"Was my force really that strong? I’m sorry! I really didn’t mean it! Please, don’t scare me!"
Her voice trembled slightly.
"Where does it hurt? Let me see! Want me to rub it? Did it get injured?"
"Want to apologize?"
Wyatt Yardley suddenly leaned down, his nose nearly touching her ear.
Before she could react, he tilted his head, and his lips brushed lightly against the corner of her lips with a quick kiss.
Seraphina Caldwell shivered all over, her ears turning bright red instantly.
But Wyatt Yardley backed away, stepping half a pace back, with a satisfied smile lingering on his lips.
She covered the corner of her mouth, her heart pounding like a drum.
Wyatt Yardley...
Why did he always sneak kisses from her?
Seraphina Caldwell was still in a daze, her wrist suddenly gripped by someone.
She looked up to find Isaac Vaughn standing in front of her.
When did he get here?
A tremor ran through Seraphina Caldwell’s heart as her mind quickly replayed the earlier scene.
She had only exchanged a few words with Wyatt Yardley, so how did Isaac Vaughn appear suddenly?
Just in an instant, he’d pulled her hand back from Wyatt Yardley’s reach.
"You just absorbed the Beast Crystal; your strength hasn’t stabilized, don’t randomly throw punches."
After speaking, Isaac Vaughn gave a light tug, drawing her closer to his side.
Wyatt Yardley let out a derisive laugh, the corners of his mouth lifting slightly.
He leisurely rubbed his arm.
"I’ve let you carry her along the whole way, can’t even get a kiss? Not giving any face at all?"
At this, even he couldn’t help but let a hint of smugness creep into his smile.
With those words, Isaac Vaughn’s fingers tightened suddenly.
The other Beast Husbands had long sensed the tension.
But Seraphina Caldwell paid no attention to these things.
Her gaze was entirely drawn to the corpse of the Great Viperdile by the edge of the grass.
Each piece of its dark green scales was thick and hard, clearly highly defensive as a natural material.
This hide could be made into boots, armor; tough and durable, it was the ultimate gear for outdoor survival.
She was already calculating quickly in her mind.
But it was too heavy, carrying it would delay their journey, and nobody planned to take it.
But...
She had spatial magic!
