The Villainess Wants a Divorce:Beast Husbands Regret It to Tears-Chapter 132: He Likes Seraphina Caldwell
He knows all too well the value of Albert Wyndham.
Blue Rank combat power, an elite of the clan.
If Seraphina Caldwell could be kept, it would not only strengthen the clan’s power but also potentially lead to a marriage alliance that could influence the tribal dynamics.
In his view, Albert, with his tall stature, handsome looks, and Blue Rank strength, has no reason not to win Seraphina’s favor.
But Albert did not respond to this and changed the subject.
"I heard Silas Shaw of the Eagle Clan is searching the world for a female."
The Clan Leader stopped and leaned forward.
"Silas Shaw? That fierce Eagle Clan member who’s about to reach Blue Rank? Why is he looking for Seraphina?"
He had heard of Silas’s reputation long ago.
The guy was a young Green Rank, with hunting skills that were terrifyingly accurate; everyone in the clan said he was bound to be the next leader of the Eagle Clan.
The Clan Leader slowly leaned back against the stone wall, frowning.
If Silas Shaw has his sights on Seraphina, things are not simple.
Albert leaned against the stone wall and continued.
"Caden Cross once told me he went to the Eagle Clan to choose companions for Seraphina. With his character, he certainly picked the strongest young males."
He recalled Caden’s words from back then.
At that time, he snorted, thinking it was a father’s blind pride in his daughter.
But thinking about it now, Caden might have foreseen all of this.
"Seraphina went to find her father, most likely heading to the Eagle Clan. After Silas met her, he probably regretted it and went crazy searching everywhere."
Seraphina’s skills, temperament, and lineage are enough to make any male fall for her.
And someone like Silas, once smitten, wouldn’t easily let go.
He wasn’t stating facts; he was confirming a plan’s feasibility.
This idea suddenly emerged while walking, and it’s the most ruthless step in his plan.
He wants to make Silas a pawn to pin Seraphina down, forcing her to stay here.
Even if her eyes are only on her father now, there will come a day she sees him.
The Clan Leader paused for a few seconds after listening.
After a while, he slowly nodded.
"What you said makes sense. Lately, I always felt those around Seraphina seem wrong, weak and incompetent, unable to protect her. So what’s next? What’s your plan for the endgame?"
Albert’s gaze suddenly sharpened.
"The males around her are too weak. The strongest has barely reached Green Rank, can’t even stand firm and wobbles when walking. How can they be worthy of her? How can they stand by her side, pretending to protect her?"
The Clan Leader was startled, instinctively retreating half a step.
"You mean... you want to act against them? That’s unwise, they are marriage alliance representatives from various clans, if something happens, it might cause disputes."
"Spread Seraphina’s information to Silas."
Albert continued.
"Let him act, remove those incompetents around her. Just say Seraphina is traveling alone to Torvin, her defenses empty, an ideal opportunity."
"Then, I appear at the crucial moment to save her life. When she is surrounded, fearful, and helpless, I will descend like a god, slaying enemies, protecting her thoroughly."
"The Elephant Clan doesn’t bear the reputation of forcibly snatching a female, my reputation remains spotless, without blemish. And she, after experiencing a life-and-death crisis, witnessing me fighting for her, will naturally realize who is truly worth entrusting as a partner. She... will choose me as her first Beast Husband."
The Clan Leader, listening, suddenly slapped his thigh.
"Brilliant idea! Albert, truly daring yet shrewd, cunning yet without revealing traces, simply flawless!"
His voice quivered with excitement, his beard slightly trembling.
"Among our Elephant Clan young men, you are the most reliable! Calm, ruthless, patient, not fast or slow, step by step! That’s the plan; I’ll immediately reach out to the Eagle Clan, making sure Silas ’coincidentally’ gets the information, and when acting, stays ruthless!"
The wood in the fire pit had burned almost completely, wind poured in from the cave entrance.
Seraphina curled up on the thick Beast Skin, body slightly stiff, her back pressed against Isaac Vaughn’s chest.
Her eyes were closed, but her mind was alarmingly clear.
Thoughts tumbled through her mind.
Her father’s whereabouts, news from the Tiger Clan...
The more she thought, the more chaotic it became.
Isaac sensed her shoulders tense.
So he tightened his arms, holding her even closer.
"Stop overthinking. If you keep worrying like this, you won’t have the energy to travel tomorrow morning."
"The Tiger Clan isn’t far from here; we’ll set off once you wake up tomorrow morning, and by nightfall we’ll arrive. Perhaps your father is waiting for you there. He cares for you so much; how could he leave you unattended?"
Seraphina murmured a response.
Then snuggled closer into his embrace.
The Tiger Clan was the last tribe in this region.
Within a thousand-mile radius, heading north leads to Glaciorra, south to Vexmoor, both east and west are occupied by Dire Beasts, making passage impossible.
If even the closest tribe can’t account for his whereabouts...
When the rainy season arrives, where else can she search?
In the vast wilderness, how long could she last alone?
Her father is a Purple Rank expert, if danger arose, he should have communicated it...
But why has there been no news at all?
The more she thought, the more frightened she became.
"Don’t be afraid."
Isaac’s fingers slowly glided through her long hair.
"Your father is a Purple Rank expert, able to move mountains and fissure the earth. Those Low Rank beasts can’t even touch his clothes, let alone harm him in any way. Even if temporarily trapped or hiding his identity to avoid pursuit, he can live perfectly fine on his own. He’s definitely fine, believe me."
Seraphina didn’t speak, only buried her face deeper into his chest.
She couldn’t speak, dared not speak. 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮
Because in the original story, her father embarked on his last medicinal journey during this cold and damp rainy season.
From then on, no news came, he never returned.
Isaac didn’t try to console her further, nor did he pursue the topic.
He slowly raised his hand, his long fingers gently brushing her shoulder.
Suddenly, he began to hum a song, no lyrics, just a melody.
Seraphina’s breathing gradually calmed.
The previously tightly entwined fingers slowly loosened.
Isaac lowered his head, quietly observing her sleeping face.
Just as he relaxed, Wyatt Yardley approached silently, gesturing to him in the dim light.
Isaac carefully withdrew his arm.
After confirming she was sleeping soundly, he quietly got up and tiptoed towards the cave entrance.
The wind outside the cave was chilly.
In the distance, beastly growls occasionally sounded, sending chills down the spine.
Wyatt leaned against the cold, hard stone wall, arms crossed.
"Do you feel Albert Wyndham is acting a bit off towards Seraphina Caldwell?"
Isaac recalled the day at the campfire, Albert standing beside the flames, staring at Seraphina.
That way of staring was anything but ordinary curiosity or admiration.
"He likes Seraphina."
Isaac said softly.
"I saw it."
Wyatt replied in a low voice.
He lifted his eyes, gazing towards the distant Veridia.
"But I don’t believe he genuinely has feelings."
Isaac turned to look at him, gaze slightly focused.
"Your concerns, go beyond just this, don’t they?"
Seraphina hadn’t noticed, perhaps she simply didn’t want to face such complex human emotions.
But they both understood clearly.
Wyatt’s unease goes far beyond a male developing feelings for Seraphina.
That wariness springs more from the sense honed through countless life-and-death encounters in past experiences.
