The Villainess Married The Evil CEO-Chapter 79: We Should Follow Him!
"Why?" Abigail asked, a little stunned. Although she knew he would refuse, she hadn’t thought that her brother-in-law would do it right on her face. That hadn’t happened in the past ever since they met.
She knew Chris’s character quite well. The man had always been funny and outgoing, mixing well among his peers. But at the same time, his heart would remain closed off. He hid his thoughts too well, and she even knew Chris must be thinking she was crazy inside.
Thus, she knew the man would of course refuse to accept her choices, and then he would head over to some shop and purchase the same black outfit that he had worn in her novel. Then the cycle of death might start to repeat all over again! 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎
Abigail swallowed and took a deep breath, saying, "But... Don’t you think it looks good?"
Chris glanced at the outfit and hesitated. He indeed liked this turtleneck shirt. After all, it would make him look even more handsome than the ordinary. And the person who had given him would have forgotten it already.
So... it shouldn’t matter, right? After all, it had been a year since that incident...
Just as he was second guessing, Abigail saw through his emotions and said excitedly, "How about trying it out once? If you don’t look good on this, we will head to the store!"
"But-" Rosa wanted to refuse, but her daughter-in-law shushed.
"Mom, trust me!"
"Alright." Chris gave up resisting and took the shirt in his arms, walking toward the wardrobe.
Just as he stepped inside, his eyes glanced at the mess inside as he stood at the door in shock. He slightly turned his head and said, "Sister-in-law.... What the heck did you do here?"
All of his clothes were on the ground. Some were even thrown aside like some stained and worthless clothes. If those fashion experts saw the condition of his expensive and trending clothes, they would just faint!
Chris took a deep breath, finally overcame this shock, and entered the wardrobe, closing the door behind him.
Abigail rubbed her hands excitedly as her eyes sparkled. Ah, now she would witness the meeting of her main characters, their first date, right before her eyes! Gosh, how lucky she was!
Ugh, why was Chris taking so much time?! He should hurry up! She wanted to see them having their first date!
As for how she would go... Of course, it would be with her mother-in-law! The woman would surely take her, and Abigail was sure about it. After all, even the older woman would want to witness her son getting married, and for that, she would make sure Chris’s first date would be completely fine!
They would again sneak inside that bar!
No, wait a minute....
She would make her brother-in-law change the location! In her novel, their first date was in the bar. So why not make a slight change from the original storyline?
But where else could they go?
Only now did she realize that she didn’t even know a suitable place for dating in this world! Where had she ever been after coming to this place?
Being a mental patient locked up in the asylum, she had already lost interest in roaming around and traveling outside long ago. Of course, she was indeed excited about it as a kid, but now, she only wanted to stay home and watch her favorite shows.
Or maybe read her favorite romance novels!
Just as she was about to go and knock on the wardrobe door, the doorknob turned as it opened, revealing a handsome, well-dressed Chris rubbing the back of his neck.
He stretched his hand and asked, "So?"
His cyan eyes in that red turtleneck shirt looked even more enchanting, enhancing his appearance. The strands of his black silky hair fell on his forehead as he stood there, keeping his hand in his pocket.
Abigail’s eyes widened.
Oh, my God! This is the male lead of her novel! So handsome!
Of course, not that she was saying this romantically, but as an author of her own novel! Damn, she didn’t think she could create such handsome young men! How good was her creativity?!
Abigail took a deep breath and silently patted herself on the back, saying, "Let’s set your hair!"
"How are you going to do it?" Chris asked curiously.
Abigail shook her head, chuckling awkwardly. "Brother-in-law, are you kidding? How can I know how to set someone’s hair? I can barely set my own hair. Mom will do it for you!"
Rosa showed a thumbs up to her daughter-in-law and said, "Okay! I have a good idea!"
After at most an hour, Chris was finally ready to go as the women walked over to the parking lot with him. His hair was set upwards with the spray as Rosa added some color at the top, giving him a slight blond highlight.
She even added a bit of makeup on his face, hiding extra marks and making him look top-notch. Clearly, she looked more excited than her son who was heading to the date.
Chris reached his car and found it weird that his mother followed him with his sister-in-law. Were they also going to come along?
He finally turned around and asked, "What are you two doing?"
"Well, we just wanted to see you off!" Abigail still felt glad that she got a chance to get him ready! Arthur would probably just faint right out after seeing his handsome crush.
Ah, she wanted to see it!
Of course, on her mother-in-law’s demands, they had already discussed the changes and agreed on going to the bar first, and then, Chris would ask Arthur himself where they should go after that.
Abigail still felt like she was forgetting something. Just as she glanced around, her eyes stuck on the flowers in the garden, especially the pink and yellow ones. Her eyes sparkled as she said, "Wait a minute! Don’t go!"
After saying that, she dashed toward the garden and plucked up a few flowers. Then she returned and stuffed all of them in Chris’s hands.
"Give these to him!"
Now Arthur will really faint! Gosh, Abigail couldn’t wait to see it!
Chris awkwardly looked at the flowers in his hand and said, "Is this really necessary?"
"Yes!" Rosa also exclaimed and patted her daughter-in-law’s shoulders. "Girl, you have done the right thing. Flowers will make a good impression!"
Chris couldn’t take it anymore. He felt like if he continued to stand, he would be stuffed with more things. So he said, "I’m going."
Then he got inside his car and drove it off to the road. Abigail awaited this chance as she said, "Mom, let’s follow him!"
Rosa also wanted to see whether her son would do well or not. The two of them should at least kiss, shouldn’t they?
Thus, she shamelessly nodded, "Let’s eavesdrop on Chris’s date!"
