The Villainess Married The Evil CEO-Chapter 72: Getting Angry Again!
While this murder scene was unfolding, Abigail was actually trying out all the outfits she had purchased from the mall during the day. It seemed Nicholas still hadn’t figured out that his dear wife had been discharged from the hospital. Neither did he find out about what had happened in the psychiatric ward.
Honestly, he wasn’t interested in visiting his patient wife anymore. Thus, he was stunned when he returned to his home and witnessed how his mom and wife were sitting in the living room, watching a random TV show with popcorn in their hands.
He stood still for a moment at the door and suddenly averted his eyes, looking away from them.
Whatever. If she’s back, she’s back. At least she wasn’t roaming around his stupid cousin for no rhyme or reason.
Just as he was climbing the stairs without caring about what was happening in the living room, he heard an excited voice echoing from the same direction.
"Husband!"
Followed by another familiar voice: "Son!"
Damn, even his mother had started to change after associating with Abigail too much.
The corner of Nicholas’s lips twitched for a second as he took a deep breath and turned slightly, looking down coldly from the staircase. Abigail still rushed over, full of joy and happiness despite his coldness and indifference.
After all, she had just gotten a dose of a shopping spree, and she even won anargument with a stranger because of her mother-in-law. In short, her day had been better than ever, making her feel more jubilant than before.
"You’re back."
Nicholas continued staring at her as if thinking she was a fool to be asking that question and turned around, continuing to climb the stairs. Before he could successfully go to the first floor, his wife grabbed his wrist and pulled him back forcibly.
To his surprise, Abigail’s strength seemed to have increased slightly as she successfully stopped the man in his tracks. But of course, since she was not that strong, she instantly became exhausted to death after pulling the man.
"You..." Abigail glared at her husband and said, "Why are you so heavy?"
"Do you need something?" Nicholas finally asked, and his voice was impatient as he spoke those words.
"Need something?" Abigail chuckled as the level of anger started rising in her heart. "I’ll only contact you when I need something?! Can’t I call you out for nothing?"
"No."
"But I’m your wife!" Abigail’s glare turned fierce as she put her hand on her waist. "I have the right to talk to you anytime I want!"
"Whatever." Nicholas’s face didn’t change as he said, "But I don’t consider myself your husband."
"Then why the heck did you get married to me?!"
The corners of Nicholas’s lips stretched up to form a mocking smile. "Take a guess."
After speaking those words, he instantly walked away while swatting away the woman’s hand from his wrist.
Behind him, Abigail was so mad that she wanted to break things, but when she thought of the medicine she had eaten that morning, her brain calmed down, but only a little. Without that medicine, she would definitely have pushed her husband off the stairs, creating another mess in anger.
But at least she had enough time to shift her focus elsewhere to vent her frustration. For example, she looked at the vase beside her as she glared at it and picked it up, instantly throwing it to the ground.
The pieces of shattered vase spread all over the carpet, broken into a mess. Rosa facepalmed herself and stood up from her chair. She had expected this to happen, to be honest.
This young couple already had a terrible relationship to the point even Rosa, as a mother, felt like it had been a mistake to let the two of them married. There was no point in continuing this relationship anymore as of now.
She sighed and reached to her daughter-in-law, putting her hand on the woman’s shoulder. She patted her gently.
"Ignore him. He has always been like that."
"How the f*ck can I actually forgive him?!" Abigail got even angrier after hearing her mother-in-law’s words as she glared fiercely at the place where Nicholas was standing earlier. "Who does he think he is to treat me like that?! Have I ever done anything to trouble him?"
At this time, she had already forgotten the number of times she had destroyed his places, including his garden, office lobby, and even a few places in the hospital. She cost him too much money in a short amount of time.
It was Nicholas’s good fortune that he had a lot of money. Otherwise, he would have long decided to throw the woman out of his villa. The only reason why he was still keeping her around was because of the contract term and his mother. At the very least, someone was keeping the woman busy and away from all of his enemies. 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎
That was the main point of getting married, wasn’t it? Looking at Abigail’s behavior, no one could connect her with the Mrs. Harrison people had in mind. Since Rosa was also always found with her daughter-in-law, she would also be away from suspicion.
This was the best solution at the moment, but as Nicholas thought about it, why did his heart sink a little when he thought about it?
His brows furrowed as he threw his shirt away, shook off those thoughts, and walked to the bathroom.
Outside, Abigail was still fuming in anger as she glared at the space where Nicholas was standing not too long ago. She took a deep breath as she thought about her medicines and tried her best to calm down, but the more she tried, the more she became angrier.
She then walked over and stomped over the broken vase pieces on the ground and jumped over it.
Of course, if she had jumped with her shoes, her feet would have remained alright. But she just had to jump over the broken pieces of the vase barefoot.
Rosa’s eyes widened as she hurried over carefully, pulling her daughter-in-law back toward her. "Abigail! What are you doing?!"
"Mom, don’t stop me!" Abigail was still jumping despite feeling pain in her feet. "I want to kill him! How can he speak to me like that?"
Rosa frowned worriedly and said, "I’m here with you, ain’t I? So calm down."
Abigail pursed her lips and finally stopped jumping. But, of course, it wasn’t because of her mother-in-law’s words. She saw traces and drops of blood all over the ground, mixing with the fine pieces of the broken vase.
Her eyes widened as her eyes rolled back, falling back unconscious.
