The Villainess Married The Evil CEO-Chapter 44: Arguing In The Car!
Neither Nicholas apologized for his mistake, nor Abigail had any desire to talk to him. She continued to sulk in her room, depressed because she had made a terrible choice in the past.
She curled up in her blanket and fell asleep, still thinking about how her life would have turned out had it been Asher instead of her husband. But then again, her thoughts again transferred toward her icy cold husband’s handsomeness that she had witnessed and thought she was so fortunate to marry such a man.
Feeling conflicted, her dreams weren’t steady. By the time she woke up from the sound of the door, she forgot her dreams and vaguely felt that what she dreamt of was probably something important.
She sat there and stared at the wall for a whole minute, still trying hard to remember her dream, but she failed. So she shrugged it off and hopped off the bed, heading toward the door. She rubbed her hair and made it look like a bird’s nest, terribly messy.
So when she opened the door, yawning and rubbing her hair, she looked like a female beggar from the street. If not for her clean face and neat and tidy outfit, she would have been mistaken for a beggar.
Nicholas, who had just arrived at her door, frowned and looked at her, feeling displeased. "Get ready."
Hearing that voice, Abigail froze in the middle of yawning as she quickly shut her mouth. She nodded and shut the door in his face.
That’s the kind of treatment he would get for treating her like that earlier! He wasn’t allowed to enter her room anymore!
As she was getting ready, Asher also came out. He had known the timing of the meeting earlier. So he got ready and came out only to find Nicholas awkwardly standing in front of his wife’s closed door.
Asher’s eyes squinted as his face darkened. He stuffed his hand in his pocket and said, "Cousin, are you still a man?"
"What do you mean?" Nicholas frowned.
"You know exactly what I mean." Asher walked over and wiped off non existent dust off the other’s shoulder, saying, "If you keep hurting her, don’t blame me for making you suffer. You should know your limits as a man, shouldn’t you?"
Nicholas’s face darkened as he stared back at his cousin. He said nothing because he knew this time it was his fault. He shouldn’t have hurt Abigail in a fit of anger in the first place. Regret came too late.
But he still couldn’t let just anyone blame him like this, could he? So he took a deep breath and was about to say something when the door opened abruptly.
Abigail, who had just gotten ready, dressed in a suit Rosa had prepared in case the woman was forced to attend the meeting, was stunned after witnessing the two men.
"You... What are you two doing?" Abigail could vaguely smell gunfire between them as she glanced at her husband first and then turned toward Asher.
Asher was the first to return to his senses as he said, "I was just appreciating your husband’s suit. Don’t you think it looks good?"
Abigail glanced at Nicholas and scoffed. "Even a pig would look good in such a piece." She folded her arms on her chest and raised her chin, saying, "Now, should we leave?"
Despite not being too angry at the man, she was still upset that he still tightened his grip on her jaw like that. She glared at her husband at the memory of that event and said, "What are you standing there for?"
Nicholas said nothing and silently turned around, walking through the corridor.
Asher looked at the back of his cousin and chuckled. "Good job, cousin-in-law."
"This is what I should do." After all, despite being in the name only, she was his wife, after all. If not her, who would show Nicholas the right path?
Her chest swelled with pride as she raised her chin and stared at Asher.
The latter sighed and said, "Let’s go."
The car arrangement was awkward. Nicholas first opened the door and forced his wife to enter. Then he sat himself, closing the door and even locking it from the inside.
Asher saw the situation and walked to the front seat, wanting to sit there. But when he tried opening it, he couldn’t. He looked at his cousin, chuckling. Then he raised his hand and waved him goodbye as the driver pulled the car on the driveway under Nicholas’s orders.
Abigail watched the car driving by as she frowned and looked at her husband, displeased. "Stop the car."
"No need." Nicholas didn’t want the two of them staying beneath the same roof. "He can come by himself."
"It’s rude! Stop the car!"
Nicholas didn’t speak and leaned back, closing his eyes. At this time, he knew if he dared to use his laptop or phone, this crazy woman would destroy his things in anger. So it was better to sleep as a precaution.
As expected. When Abigail didn’t find anything to destroy because of her anger, she looked at the driver’s seat and raised her leg, kicking it with all her force.
The driver, shocked, jolted from his seat as the car went off the lane, slowly heading to the opposite line of the road. He cursed under his breath and quickly controlled the car with all his skills.
"Do you want to die?!" Nicholas held her leg and said, "If you don’t listen, I’ll tie you up right now!"
"Then you’d better tie me up right now!" Abigail glared at the man and struggled against him.
Nicholas rudely threw her leg aside and glared at her. Then he pulled out his tie and quickly bound up her hands despite her struggle. Since he had more muscles, he easily subdued the woman and tied her up. But her legs were still working fine.
Abigail glared back and raised her leg to kick him right on the face. Of course, Nicholas dodged rightly and grabbed her ankle, pulling her legs toward him. Then he firmly gripped her ankles, placing them on his lap.
"Let me go!" Abigail struggled hard, but his grip on her ankles was hard enough. In the end, she stopped struggling and gasped for breath. "Is this how you treat a woman?"
"No." Nicholas was also a gentleman, and he wouldn’t go on tying up women who irritated him. "You’re the only one."
