The Villainess Married The Evil CEO-Chapter 100: I’m Ready
Asher’s smile vanished without a trace after hearing her words. He had thought she would jump in his arms just like before, but on the contrary, she ended up thanking him with a mild smile?
Did he make a mistake or something?
He contemplated his actions and realized he was perhaps a bit more forward with this. He should have made her comfortable first before letting her know of his feelings. What he just said about him investing in that movie... Wasn’t that indirectly him confessing his emotions to her?!
Gosh, what did he just do?!
He took a deep breath and sneaked a glance at the lady, who resumed her role of staring outside the window silently, not talking to him. He hesitated, but in the end, he said nothing.
Worry not. He would surely win her heart for sure one day and snatch her right under Nicholas’s nose!
About half an hour later, the two of them reached the venue. There was a hoard of people outside the building, lined up to fill up the audition form that was being distributed at the receptionist’s desk.
Others who had gotten their forms already were sitting in the lobby to fill it up. Then, on the side, there was another line to submit those forms one after another.
Asher pulled open the passenger door after he parked the car in the lot and got out. When the young woman got out, he smiled and said, "Let’s go. I have arranged for everything. Follow me."
Abigail also nodded silently, still firmly trying her best to be in her role. Well, less for her role and more to maintain distance from Asher, at least, emotionally.
Thus, she followed him inside and glanced about for a moment before lowering her head, continuing walking.
In this country, Asher’s face was quite famous. He was one of the top bachelors of the entire country who was wanted by most women of the entire country. He was quite famous for being a playboy here, flirting with ladies right and left.
But he had never been seen by a girl walking right beside him before.
Sure, there was a reason why so many ladies came for auditions. In the morning, they got news that Asher Harrison had invested in this movie. Thus, even if they hadn’t prepared a single thing for the role, they jumped up excitedly and rushed to the venue to catch a glimpse of him, hoping to bump into him and have an ’accidental romance’ with him.
Of course, they didn’t know whether he would surely arrive for the first day of auditions, but they were still hopeful.
And their wishes were finally fulfilled! The man himself whom they had ever wanted to sneak a glance on arrived right when they were filling up the form!
"Oh my God! It’s Asher!"
"Ah, he looks so handsome face-to-face!"
"Gosh, my eyes can’t take so much handsomeness anymore!"
"Wait, who’s the girl following him?"
No one had expected Asher to arrive at the auditions with an opposite gender. Thus, when the women saw Abigail, they frowned, especially when they saw him taking the woman to the audition room without even bothering to fill up the form.
Clearly, this was the case of a backdoor. There shouldn’t be any confusion about what kind of people would usually get a backdoor, right?
Every single woman standing in the lobby thought of only one thing: That blond woman probably slept her way to the auditions.
"So gross."
"I hate such people."
"She doesn’t deserve to act in such a movie!"
"Ah, the villain was my favorite character!" A woman groaned. "If someone worthless acts as a villain, the movie would be ruined!"
In their eyes, whoever dares to go through the backdoor was probably not qualified for the role and that’s why they resorted to such a technique.
"Then... What about today’s auditions?" A young woman who had come prepared to give the auditions for the villain role frowned as her hand gripped the sheet in her hand. "I wanted to play as a villain... Will I not get a chance?"
"Thanks to a certain blond bimbo, none of us will," said another young woman in a mocking tone.
Inside the audition room, Abigail finally saw the entire place. There was a stage and a curtain behind it. A woman just walked down from the stage with a crying expression on her face as she rushed out of the room. Three judges were sitting on the other side. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂
Then, Abigail was given the paper as Asher patted her shoulder and said, "Go backstage. You have half an hour to prepare. Can you do it?"
Abigail held the paper and nodded with a serious expression on her face. "I can."
"Good." Asher’s smile widened as he pointed his finger toward the judge’s seat. "I’ll be behind them. Don’t worry, even if you can’t do it, this role is yours!"
Abigail sneaked a glance at the sheet and said, "I’ll do better than your expectation!"
Asher laughed it off, knowing it would be too much to expect anything like some professional. At least he expected something in the middle from her. If she couldn’t do that, he would still force the director to accept her as the role and change the script.
Thus, thinking of his plan, he walked toward the judges and flashed a charming smile.
One of the judges was a woman who glanced at him with a teasing smile on his face and asked, "Is she special?"
She pointed her finger at the curtains where Abigail disappeared.
Asher let out a smile as his expression softened. He raised his head and said, "Very special."
"Oh?" The woman nodded and said, "Don’t worry. We will take care of her."
"You’d better." Asher still smiled, but there was a hidden danger behind his smile as he looked at her, making the woman feel a chill down her spine.
She averted her eyes and cleared her throat. "She’ll be ready in half an hour, yes?"
"Yes." Asher also stopped warning people and stood behind, leaning against the wall with his arms crossed on his chest.
One after another, ladies came and went away, playing their parts well. Some of them were good, but not enough for the judges to pick one of them. Even the woman was tired after watching so many failed attempts as she stood up after a while and stretched her arms.
"None of them are good." Her face was full of disappointment as she glanced at Asher and said, "If your woman doesn’t even reach their level, she’s out."
"She-"
Before he could continue, Abigail walked out of backstage and bowed, saying, "Hello judges, I’m ready."
