The Villain Mom Awakens — Going Viral by Parenting on a Reality Show-Chapter 389 - 391: Lick
"Then we’ll just have to wait and see."
Caleb Bishop’s lips curled into a cold smirk as he left the private room after her.
He led his bodyguards downstairs. The moment he stepped into the main hall, he was met with voices of ridicule and scorn:
"Isn’t that Caleb Bishop? Wasn’t he notoriously poor? How can he afford to be here?"
"Is there any doubt? He must have latched onto some rich sugar mama. That guy’s a total social climber. The moment something happened to Miss. Kenway, he bolted. Poor, beautiful young Miss. Kenway, getting deceived by scum like him! I sent her a love letter back then, you know, but she wouldn’t even give me the time of day. But come on, how am I not better than a pretty boy like Caleb Bishop? Miss. Kenway must have been blind!"
"I heard he hooked up with Jeanette Kensington later. Seriously, does he only prey on that one family?"
"I heard that after graduation he opened a small art gallery, just scraping by selling paintings! HAHAHA, that’s hilarious. He talked such a big game back then, but he still amounted to nothing after graduating! And they called him a genius? Can you eat talent?"
"Look at how arrogant he is, does he really think he’s some rich heir?! I’ve always hated that holier-than-thou act. He’s just a broke-ass nobody, who’s he trying to impress with that cold scowl all day? I heard he even rejected a bunch of the campus beauties back then. Damn him! By what right?!"
"And look, he’s even got a few bodyguards with him! Did his sugar mama hire them to prop up his image? That’s hilarious. Does he really think a new package is enough to get into high society? He should take a good look at himself. You can’t wash off the stench of poverty!"
"Shh, keep your voice down. We’re being so loud, what if he hears us? He’s Jeanette Kensington’s boyfriend now, after all."
"What are you chickening out for?! He’s just a kept man, a rich woman’s plaything. It’s not even certain he’ll successfully marry into wealth, and you’re already afraid of him?"
...
Caleb Bishop stopped in his tracks. His gaze drifted over to three men smirking in the distance. They were lounging about with a slovenly air, still draped in designer brands—typical good-for-nothing heirs.
Caleb Bishop narrowed his eyes. He recognized these three all too well. They were the very same ones who had spent their days humiliating and slandering him.
He shot a look at the bodyguards behind him, then strode steadily toward them.
"Caleb Bishop?" The man in the middle sized him up, his smirk unwavering. "Just like a dog to come sniffing when you catch a scent."
With a short laugh, Caleb Bishop kicked the man squarely, sending him stumbling back. Looking down at him, Caleb said with a flicker of amusement, "You really haven’t changed. Still looking down your nose at people."
"You!" the man roared. "Caleb Bishop, you’re asking to die! Do you know who I am?! You dare to mess with me?! Believe me, I’ll make you regret this!"
"Your father is Richard Dawson, the chairman of Riverbend Properties, and you’re his only son, Tyson Dawson."
Riverbend Properties had been a major, prominent company, but with the recent downturn in the real estate market, it had long since lost its former glory. As a result, its founder, Richard Dawson, had racked up a significant amount of debt.
Tyson Dawson was stunned for a moment, then he laughed. "Ah, so you do remember. I’m surprised you haven’t forgotten after all these years. Since you know who I am, hurry up and get these dogs of yours out of my sight. Block my path again and I’ll skin you alive!"
The other two chimed in, "It’s been a while, you forgotten your masters? Now, get lost!"
Caleb Bishop’s smile vanished. With a slight lift of his hand, his bodyguards easily pinned all three of them to the floor.
"You bastard, Caleb Bishop! So you fight dirty now, picking on me when I don’t have my bodyguards? You’re nothing but a kept man living off a woman! If you know what’s good for you, back off now!"
"With your family shouldering so much debt, I imagine you must be under a lot of pressure, huh?"
"What’s it to you?!" Tyson Dawson shouted, instantly agitated.
The commotion was so loud that it soon attracted the restaurant’s manager.
Tyson Dawson looked at him as if he were a savior. "Manager Warren, help us! This guy pinned us to the floor for no reason!"
Caleb Bishop remained unmoved.
Tyson Dawson yelled, "Hurry up! What are you just standing there for? Do you want me to file a complaint against this place?"
Manager Warren first gave a slight nod to Caleb Bishop. "Mr. Bishop."
Then, his gaze shifted to the three men on the floor. "This is a personal dispute. It’s best if you handle it yourselves."
"What’s that supposed to mean? You’re not going to do anything? What did you just call him? Mr. Bishop??"
Manager Warren introduced him in a level voice, "Caleb Bishop. Mr. Bishop. The General Manager of Kenway Group, and the Vice General Manager of Helios Group."
The jaws of Tyson Dawson and his two friends dropped in astonishment, as if in complete disbelief. "Helios..."
Becoming the General Manager of Kenway Group might be chalked up to him sponging off a woman, but Helios Group was a famous venture capital firm. How could they possibly have hired Caleb Bishop as their Vice General Manager?
Catching sight of their shocked expressions, Caleb Bishop felt a secret thrill of satisfaction course through him.
Knowing when to bend to the circumstances, Tyson Dawson immediately shouted, "We underestimated you, Caleb Bishop! Let us go, quick! You’ll be in big trouble when the police get here!"
"I’m a law-abiding citizen. Of course I can let you go. But before that... we’re going to play a little game."
Tyson Dawson looked up at him warily. "What kind of game?"
"A game we used to play."
He extended a shiny leather shoe, tilted his head slightly, and gave a soft command: "Lick."
"Caleb Bishop, are you fucking suicidal?! Shit, I’m going to kill you today!"
Caleb Bishop pressed his shoe down on the man’s head. "You’d better decide quickly, or we can chat a bit longer. You’re probably not involved in the business, so you wouldn’t know. Your family can’t sell its properties, and your dad is begging Helios for a partnership. And guess what? I’m the one in charge of that."
"How the tables have turned, Young Master Dawson..."
He gazed at the figure groveling before him like a dog, head bowed, all his old arrogance gone.
Caleb Bishop let out a long, heavy breath.
He was beginning to truly enjoy the pleasure that power and money brought him.

Victor Vance came across another news story about Renee Jennings. The red headline was particularly eye-catching. It said Renee Jennings had been seriously injured, attacked by her stepson with a kitchen knife.
The "stepson" in the headline was the son of the man Renee Jennings had married only a few days before.
Her life was the stuff of drama. After a car accident left her in a coma, she was diagnosed as being in a vegetative state. Just when everyone thought she would never wake up, she did. And a few days after regaining consciousness, she got married again.
The man she married was the CEO of a publicly traded company. He was nearly fifty, had been divorced three times, and had a ten-year-old son.
