Chapter 327: Chapter 327: Don’t Tell Me I Hit the Mark?

"We’re divorced. We have our own lives now. You have no reason to keep showing up in front of me like this. We can’t go back to the way things were, and I’m never going to remarry you. Don’t even think about it."

Christina Lynch said.

Victor Vance froze for a moment. "What are you talking about? I just came to see my son."

Christina Lynch let out a short, mocking laugh. "Let me be blunt. You made Nathan’s life miserable. How can you have the nerve to show up in front of him like nothing happened? That whole affair was a complete mess. For old times’ sake, I didn’t make things hard for you. I expect you to show our family the same courtesy. We’re doing just fine, and we don’t want outsiders interfering." His face hardened. "Especially not someone with your lack of morals. I won’t have you being a bad influence on my son."

"Do you know why Nathan had to change schools? It’s because of you. He was constantly being bullied. He even got into a fight defending you, and his relationships with his classmates were a total disaster. I moved him to a new school just so he could get a fresh start, but I never expected..."

Christina Lynch snorted. "You’re like a ghost that just won’t leave."

"What...?" Victor Vance was visibly stunned, her eyes filled with anguish.

Renee Jennings seized the opportunity to reach out and pull Nathan Lynch back. "Nathan, stop making a scene! Come home with Mommy and Daddy now!"

"You’re not my mommy and daddy!" Nathan Lynch gripped Victor Vance’s arm tightly. "You’re both bad guys! *She’s* my mommy!" he shouted. "I’m not going back with you! You two are bad guys!!"

There was a sob in Nathan Lynch’s voice. He remembered a while back when he’d spaced out for just a second, and Renee Jennings had tossed him into the car and taken him home. He had finally gotten to see his mother again, and there was no way he was letting go this time.

Hearing Nathan Lynch call them "bad guys" again and again, the faces of both Christina Lynch and Renee Jennings turned grim.

Christina Lynch exploded, "Nathan Lynch, have you had your fun?! Are you looking for a beating, making a scene like this in public? You stupid brat, you never learn your lesson! Have you forgotten that Victor Vance abandoned you?"

Nathan shot back, "My mommy said she would stay with me! She didn’t abandon me! You’re the liar!"

"You dare talk back to me? Go on, trail after her like a happy little puppy. You’ll be crying your eyes out later! Stick with her, and your reputation will be stained for the rest of your life! The first thing anyone will think when they see you is what a disgraceful mother you have!" Christina Lynch lunged forward and roughly grabbed Nathan’s arm. "You’re coming home with me! Now!!"

Victor Vance cried out, "What do you think you’re doing?! Be gentle! Nathan is just a child, you can’t just yank him around with brute force like that!"

Nathan Lynch bit down hard on Christina Lynch’s arm. Christina cried out in pain. Concerned with keeping up appearances, he fought back the urge to strike the boy. His face twisted with rage. "Nathan Lynch, you must be out of your mind! You’re a mad dog, just like your mother! Just you wait. When I get you home, I’m going to teach you a lesson you’ll never forget!"

In the end, Victor Vance and Nathan Lynch were overpowered. Tears streaming down her face, Victor shielded Nathan. "I just wanted to see my son. Do you really have to make things so hard for us?"

"Help! Help!" Nathan Lynch screamed.

"What do you think you’re doing?!" Hearing the commotion, Naomi Kenway rushed over and shoved Christina Lynch and Renee Jennings aside.

Renee Jennings was visibly taken aback when she saw Naomi Kenway. "...Naomi, what are you doing here?"

Christina Lynch’s reaction was priceless. He jumped the second he saw Naomi Kenway, and after she shoved him, he didn’t dare take another step forward.

Naomi Kenway sneered. "I should be asking you the questions. Do you two make a habit of ganging up on people in public?"

Renee Jennings shot back, "Oh, don’t think I can’t see what you’re up to. You brought Victor here, didn’t you? Just to cause trouble for me and Christina." She ground her teeth. "Naomi, do you really hate me that much?!"

"You’re selfish and malicious. Hating you is the natural response. But let me make one thing crystal clear: you don’t own this kindergarten. Who we’re here to see is our own business."

"Freedom?" Renee Jennings raged. "Is kidnapping someone else’s child also considered ’freedom’?"

"’Someone else’s child?’" Naomi Kenway shot Renee Jennings a cold glance. "Sonny just came to see her child and exchange a few words. Why are you getting so worked up?"

"’Me, worked up?’" Renee Jennings shot a look at Christina Lynch. When he didn’t react, she went on, "Everyone knows the disgusting things Victor Vance has done. I was trying to spare her some dignity..." She raised her voice intentionally, pointing at Victor. "Looks like living abroad has been so cozy you’ve forgotten all your past sins. Or maybe you just have no sense of shame? Cheating on your husband and then parading around town like you’ve done nothing wrong?!"

Faint gasps rippled through the crowd of onlookers.

Naomi Kenway stared at her coldly. "There were many questionable details about that incident. You can’t just jump to conclusions."

"Questionable? Victor Vance was found in a hotel room with some other man, both of them half-dressed. The guy lost a shoe when he fled the scene. If that isn’t cheating, what is?!"

Naomi took a step forward, her eyes narrowing. "A year ago... didn’t you claim you hadn’t even met Christina Lynch yet? How is your description so detailed? Were you there? You were with Christina, weren’t you? You knew him back then."

"Wh-what are you talking about...?" Renee Jennings stammered. "The whole thing was a huge scandal. You can find all the details online with a quick search. I’m just repeating what I read. Christina and I had a proper relationship before we got married. I would never be like Victor Vance, hooking up with someone before the divorce was even final."

"I’m not so sure about that." Naomi Kenway had been carefully watching Renee’s expression, taking in every flicker of panic. ’Just as I thought.’ "Like I said, there are a lot of questionable details about that incident. For all we know, you and Christina Lynch worked together to frame Sonny."

"That’s a lie!!" Renee Jennings shouted.

The color drained from Christina Lynch’s face as well.

"Getting a little flustered, are we? Did I strike a nerve?"

Christina Lynch quickly composed himself. In a placating tone, he said, "I’m so sorry, Nicole. Renee just got carried away by her anger..."

"Don’t call me Nicole," Naomi Kenway cut him off, her tone sharp and disrespectful. "I want nothing to do with a two-faced backstabber like you."

Surprisingly, Christina Lynch swallowed his pride. He forced an awkward smile. "Alright, Ms. Kenway. Renee spoke out of turn just now, and I apologize on her behalf. But it would be best if you stayed out of our family matters."

"Who’s meddling in your family’s business? I’m simply accompanying my friend while she sees her child. Nothing more."

Naomi Kenway stressed her final words.

Christina Lynch couldn’t hold back any longer:
