The Unveiling of Secret Queen-Chapter 1302: Not a Member of the Red Alliance
Mr. Radcliff was suddenly called out, and the cigarette in his mouth tasted off. He held the cigarette, and his face momentarily turned liver-colored, probably feeling humiliated by being schooled by a young man.
"Carmen, put out the cigarette." Jeremiah Bonette reprimanded in a low voice before he could speak.
Mr. Radcliff’s face changed, took a deep breath, snuffed out the cigarette butt with annoyance, threw it into the trash can, his face ashen, angrily not wanting to say another word.
He just couldn’t understand why Mr. Bonette was being so polite to this kid!
And why did this kid bring his girlfriend along? They were here to find an expert and catch some reprehensible criminals.
He brought his girlfriend, and Mr. Bonette didn’t get angry but gave them respect. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞
Jeremiah saw his face change several times and barely contained his temper, ultimately not saying anything inappropriate, and breathed a sigh of relief.
Amadeus Yancey was not someone to be trifled with.
He was able to get Amadeus’s help through his nephew’s connections, but if Carmen acted recklessly and provoked this young man who held The Ninth Institute in his grasp, it would likely end disastrously.
In this country, to crush someone like Carmen would be as easy for Amadeus Yancey as squashing an ant!
Luckily, Carmen wasn’t overwhelmed by impatience and anger to the point of rashly speaking out. Jeremiah sighed and said softly, "Mr. Radcliff doesn’t mean any harm, it’s just that he’s too hot-tempered and gets anxious when things happen. Don’t take it personally with him, he didn’t notice you brought a student, so he forgot to put out the cigarette for a moment."
"Alright."
For Brian’s respect, Amadeus had to comply. Furthermore, Jeremiah was his elder, and since Jeremiah spoke up for Carmen, he didn’t make a big deal out of it and succinctly asked Jeremiah, "Uncle Jeremiah, did you bring the information?"
Jeremiah glanced at the girl sitting next to him, lowered his voice, and said, "We have his phone IP and have been tracking his phone’s location. Since yesterday, the signal on the computer suddenly disappeared; someone likely helped him hide the IP address. The team’s technicians intended to pinpoint Hawkeye’s exact location with decryption technology, but he probably contacted someone from the Illegal Zone."
"Their methods are extremely sophisticated, and the team’s technicians couldn’t deal with it. That’s why I asked Brian to ask you to see if you could help us find someone."
"Hawkeye found someone from the Illegal Zone..." Amadeus squinted slightly, his gaze quite dangerous.
"Yeah." Jeremiah glanced at Nathalie Quinlan again, not worried she would overhear as he thought Nathalie wouldn’t understand: "I don’t know if they found someone from the Red Alliance."
Amadeus raised an eyebrow and denied his suspicion: "Not someone from the Red Alliance."
"Uh." Jeremiah didn’t expect Amadeus to deny it without thinking and was taken aback, instinctively asking, "How do you know he didn’t find someone from the Red Alliance?"
After denying it, Amadeus also realized he might have been too quick to deny. He rubbed his forehead, didn’t answer Jeremiah, and instead turned to Nathalie Quinlan: "Nathalie, can you look it up?"
Nathalie adjusted her hat brim, sat there with a rather arrogant pose: "Hard to say, I need to check first. Give me Hawkeye’s phone location."
Mr. Radcliff watched her take out a black laptop from her black single shoulder bag. The laptop’s exterior was unremarkable and looked somewhat shabby, not even as new as the ones used by the security guards in their team.
