The Unveiling of Secret Queen-Chapter 1299: The key is, the other party is too young!!
It was just that Brian Bonette’s uncle found him, and besides Nathalie Quinlan, he couldn’t think of anyone else who could pull out Eagle Eye.
He could act, of course, but if he intervened, it would inevitably startle the snake among the grass.
In The Ninth Institute, Wallace Radcliff and the others didn’t have this ability... All things considered, only Nathalie Quinlan could help with this task.
Nathalie Quinlan responded with a "Hmm," didn’t say much after listening, and simply replied testily: "Tomorrow at ten, right? I got it."
*
The next day.
At ten in the morning.
Nathalie Quinlan got up early and first drew the design she wanted to give to Silvania Ingram, took a snapshot, and sent it to Silvania’s email.
Then she took a shower, changed clothes, and followed Amadeus Yancey to a secluded coffeehouse located downtown.
People were already there in the private room.
Jeremiah Bonette was sipping his plain boiled water absentmindedly.
This man had a habit of avoiding coffee and other stimulants, drinking only plain water all year round, and would only occasionally partake in alcohol and tea during holidays and festivals. Even in a coffeehouse, he would only ask for plain water.
He had arranged to meet Amadeus Yancey at ten.
But he arrived early, an hour ahead of time, and had been waiting there.
He was accompanied by an assistant captain, who was younger than him and showed the youthful enthusiasm and brashness in his eyes.
Evidently, he also had the characteristic impatience of youth!
The assistant captain checked his watch almost every few minutes, revealing a poorly concealed anxiousness on his wheat-colored face. Eventually, unable to contain his internal anxiety, he asked fretfully: "Mr. Bonette, the person you’re waiting for hasn’t arrived yet?"
Jeremiah Bonette, more composed and unhurried, set down his water calmly and said: "I arranged for ten o’clock, hasn’t it reached that time?"
"I know, but this matter is urgent, I’m worried that if we keep delaying, Eagle Eye will escape." His voice showed underlying impatience as he tried to hold back.
Jeremiah Bonette casually countered: "Does your anxiety help? Being anxious won’t prevent Eagle Eye from escaping! If we can’t precisely pinpoint his location, your anxiety is useless, we can’t apprehend him!"
The reasoning was sound, and his assistant captain understood it as well, but was unavoidably anxious, wishing he could master computer skills and locate the criminal by typing quickly on the keyboard, and immediately bring in people to catch him!
After all, Eagle Eye acted too viciously; not capturing him was enough to incite public indignation!
The assistant captain burned with anxiety but knew his superior’s reasoning was right, so he had to press down his impatience and wait for the expert to arrive.
At ten o’clock sharp, a black Hongqi car pulled up on the street outside.
Jeremiah Bonette saw the car stop through the private room’s glass window and lowered his voice: "He’s here."
"Have they arrived?" Wallace Radcliff’s eyes lit up, he immediately stood up, stretched his neck to look outside, soon seeing the car that had just parked.
Soon after, he saw two people getting out of the car, one was a young man he didn’t recognize.
The other was even more remarkable—a girl wearing a gray sweater with letter patterns on the upper body and tight jeans on the lower body, the jeans slightly cinched at the waist, fitting snugly, loose but flattering. The girl stood sideways, her long, straight legs encased in the jeans.
This wasn’t the main focus.
The focus was that despite being so far away, Wallace Radcliff was certain that she was extremely young.
