The Unveiling of Secret Queen-Chapter 1277: There Are Quite a Few People in the Ward
Along the way, she encountered quite a few medical staff in white coats, who couldn’t help but glance at her.
Nathalie Quinlan was quite polite. If her gaze met theirs, she would slightly nod, as a greeting. Yet, her innate rebelliousness was so pronounced that even when she tried her best to lower her presence, in the eyes of outsiders, she still stood out!
She walked until she reached Mr. Zachmann’s hospital room.
Just as she arrived.
A WhatsApp message from Stanley Zachmann followed right after.
Nathalie stood at the hospital room door, not rushing in, first taking out her phone to glance at the message. Stanley had sent it to her, and in a gentle tone, inquired if she had set off and told her not to hurry over, asking her to notify him when she arrived at the nursing home, so he could come out to greet her.
Nathalie quickly skimmed through the message, didn’t reply after reading, put her phone away, and pushed open the hospital room door with her hand.
Whoosh!
Several pairs of eyes instantly fell upon her.
A bit annoyed, Nathalie raised her hand, exposing a flash of dazzlingly white wrist from her sleeve, and pressed her hat further down.
With restless dark eyes swiftly scanning the people in the room, her red lips curled into a slight mocking smile.
Tsk! Quite a crowd!
Besides Ericko Zachmann lying on the hospital bed, there was her dad, Caryn Zachmann, and a young man too.
Judging by looks, the young man seemed to be in his early twenties, bearing a five-point resemblance to Caryn Zachmann, but with more handsome features.
Caryn seems to take more after Celine Tucker.
While the young man before her had inherited more from his father, Leonardy Zachmann, embodying the Zachmann Family’s strengths, and appeared much better looking than Caryn Zachmann.
He must be her legendary older brother, Hendrik Zachmann.
The one who called her back this time.
Nathalie’s eyes narrowed slightly, stepping past the two of them, she walked directly inside and greeted the elderly man on the bed and the middle-aged man at the bedside: "Grandpa. Dad, I’m here."
Stanley Zachmann was startled to see the girl push the door open and come in, his first reaction was to offer her a chair, saying: "Nathalie, how did you get here so fast? Didn’t you read the message? I was just about to come out to meet you, and here you are coming in already."
Nathalie didn’t sit in the chair, just placed her single shoulder bag on top, her gaze rather mischievous, concealing arrogance, trying her best to appear well-behaved: "I only saw the message when I got to the room entrance, so I didn’t reply and came straight in."
She raised her smooth chin line, looked at Mr. Zachmann on the hospital bed, and softly inquired: "Grandpa, how has your health been recently? Sleeping well?" 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
Mr. Zachmann held nothing but guilt and love for this granddaughter. Upon hearing this, he smiled kindly, immediately responding, "I’m much better after taking the health supplements you brought over the other day. Slept soundly that night without dreaming or waking up."
Some time ago, he had been experiencing nightmares every night for almost a month, waking up and then unable to sleep, sluggish through the day, his vitality completely drained.
The doctors at the nursing home were helpless with his condition, persistently having him drink chrysanthemum tea to calm himself and revitalize, but the effect was very poor.
Until Nathalie came to see him a few days ago, asking whether he had finished the "health supplements" he was taking — then he remembered he had finished them some time ago. Not wanting to trouble Nathalie, and with no opportunity to buy them himself, he had been without them.
Afterward, Nathalie brought him another bottle, reminding him to take it.
Interestingly, Mr. Zachmann only recalls that after taking the supplements Nathalie sent, it wasn’t long before he felt sleepy, slept through the night, and awoke without the previous fatigue, feeling significantly better in spirits.
