The Unveiling of Secret Queen-Chapter 1276: Qiao, Do You Want Me to Accompany You Inside?
Nathalie Quinlan arrived at the nursing home half an hour later.
Valencia Jett dropped her off outside, stopped the car, and watched as the girl deftly unlocked the seatbelt strapped around her body, speaking softly, "Nathalie, do you want me to go in with you?"
She always felt that Nathalie’s biological parents’ family had quite a few troubling matters!
Valencia was still worried and said, "Anyway, I have nothing to do tonight, how about it?"
Nathalie had already freed herself from the seatbelt, opened the door, picked up the single shoulder bag she placed beside her, and got out of the car first. She casually placed one hand on the car door, stood outside, and said to her, "No need, you can go back first. I’m just going to take a look."
"Are you sure you don’t want me to go in with you?" Valencia was still a bit worried.
Nathalie had already helped her close the car door, swung the single shoulder bag over her left shoulder, raised her hand, and casually adjusted the brim of her hat. Underneath the brim, her eyes were as dark as a cold pond, with little emotion visible; it was quite cold. Facing the rolled-down car window, she restrained her audacity and said, "You head back. If anything comes up, I’ll call you!"
Valencia realized it. Nathalie didn’t want herself to get involved in the Zachmann family affairs. She didn’t persist further, nodded, with her fair and ordinary-looking face masking the piercing brightness in her eyes which held a chilling sharpness: "Alright, I’ll head back. Remember to give me a phone call if anything comes up. I live not far from here, just a ten-minute drive away."
Mr. Zachmann chose nursing homes in good areas. This place belonged to Beijing’s rich district, surrounded by several villa areas.
Nathalie thought she was staying at a hotel and was suddenly surprised that she lived nearby in a villa district, her dark eyes showed a hint of surprise.
But in an instant, she understood.
Given Valencia’s character, she would definitely choose to stay at a hotel for convenience and avoid trouble.
But this time Valencia was not alone in Beijing; among the people traveling with her was Khendy Lordon, who was not one to settle for a hotel casually.
Nathalie also knew Khendy had quite a serious cleanliness obsession; in the Illegal Zone, his place was always immaculately cleaned. You couldn’t spot a speck of dirt on the floor or sofa, and Khendy even wiped his book covers clean. He would even place disposable seat cushions on the chair in his study.
Nathalie understood who lived in the nearby villa as the surprise in her eyes gradually faded. She inserted one hand in her clothes pocket, her pose arrogant and somewhat audacious: "Got it, you go first. I’ll head in after you’ve left."
As she spoke, she stepped back a distance away from the car. Valencia couldn’t outmaneuver her, so she rolled up the car window, and the red sports car quickly rolled over the Paulownia tree leaves on the road, disappearing outside the nursing home...
Nathalie watched as the car drove off into the distance, before raising her hand to adjust her hat further down to conceal the chill in her eyes, then turned and walked into the nursing home.

The nursing home where Mr. Zachmann stayed had a landscaped garden with neatly trimmed lawns and a large Gingko tree planted on the slope of the lawn.
The breeze gently blew across the treetops, making the leaves sway with the wind.
Not far away, the surface of the lake also rippled slightly.
The overall environment of the nursing home was tranquil, very suitable for elderly people to live here and recuperate.
Nathalie was not visiting the nursing home for the first time. Ever since she got accepted to Tsinghua University, she would occasionally come to the nursing home to keep Mr. Zachmann company.
She was quite familiar with the environment inside the nursing home, skillfully walking along the pebble path through the lawn towards the room where Mr. Zachmann was staying.
