Chapter 593: Chapter 593

He barged in and held Joanna’s shoulders, asking anxiously.

"I’m fine. Go and save Taylor now. She’s in great danger."

Liam pressed the gun to the guard’s head and demanded, "Where’s Taylor?"

"I’m not telling you anything, so you might as well kill me." The guard tilted his head and closed his eyes, refusing to give in.

"You!" Liam was greatly infuriated. The people in the fort had undergone high-intensity physical and mental training, so they were loyal to Benjamin and would never easily admit defeat.

"Maybe she’s in the dismantling room," Amber said hesitantly. "I once heard from Mateo that anyone who betrays my dad will be sent to the dismantling room. Their body parts will then be dismantled and sold."

"What?" Joanna clenched her fists and snarled indignantly, "That old man is merciless!"

"Maybe that’s why Taylor reported my dad. I didn’t expect that... it would put her in such great danger." Amber kept her head low. She did not approve of some of Benjamin’s actions, but as his daughter, she did not know how she could stop all this.

"There’s no time to wonder. Let’s go to the dismantling room and save Taylor before your father sends his people here to stop us." Joanna scowled, wishing she could destroy this terrible place.

"Yes, we can do that, but I heard that there are thirty-two dismantling rooms, and they’re all over the fort. What’s more, this fort is 50,000 acres large," Amber elaborated timidly.

Bewilderment and deep despair overcame Joanna. It would be like looking for a needle in a haystack if they wanted to find Taylor!

"It doesn’t matter, let’s just go.’ Liam realised how serious the issue was, and knew they had to leave now if they wanted to have a chance of saving her.

"Yes, let’s go." Joanna nodded and suggested, "Let’s split up and look for her. It’ll be more efficient."

"No way!" Liam held Joanna’s hand and said firmly, "I finally rescued you. I don’t want to part with you again."

Disappointment and jealousy filled Amber when she saw Liam hold Joanna’s hand tightly.

’She’s so lucky... The only time he notices me is when it’s for her.’

"How about this? You guys go one way, I’ll go the other. After all, I’m my dad’s only

daughter, so nobody dares to touch me. I can go to any part of the fort quickly. I’ll contact you once I find her," Amber said sincerely.

"That’s a great idea. Thank you." Liam agreed with Amber’s suggestion.

They went their separate ways and looked for Taylor in every room.

Meanwhile, Taylor was wearing only her intimates in the most secluded dismantling room.

She lay flat on the surgery table with her limbs tied up. The dazzling white light above her shone down, making her face look pale.

The person in a lab coat who was responsible for dismantling her body leaned over her, about to anaesthetise her.

"Any final words?" The man casually asked Taylor as he adjusted the syringe

Both Joanna and Liam looked for Taylor in every room, but even after ages of searching, they couldn’t find the dismantling room Taylor was in.

Suddenly, they heard a distressed cry from the most secluded corner in the southeast.

"That sounds like Taylor!’ Joanna gasped, her face going pale.

"Let’s go!" Liam held Joanna’s hand tightly. They got rid of all the people who blocked their path and ran towards the room the sound came from.

The dismantling room was guarded too, but before Liam could use the gun in his hand,Joanna kicked them away. She quickly picked up their weapons and shot the tightly closed door of the dismantling room, forcing the door open.

The scene that greeted her was horrifying.

Taylor was strapped to an operating table with both sides of her waist cut open, and a man in a lab coat was about to reach into the wounds to remove Taylor’s kidneys. He looked up at the sudden intrusion, and his eyes grew wide. ’Who... Who are you?’

He took two steps back fearfully, holding out the scalpel in his hand threateningly. His hands were covered in blood.

"You... How dare you!" Joanna roared, mad with rage. She aimed her gun at the two men in lab coats and shot their thighs. They instantly dropped to the ground, wailing and howling.

"Taylor, hold on. You’re safe now..." Joanna said to Taylor as she fought back tears. She could not imagine what would have happened to Taylor if they were even a second late.

Taylor smiled weakly as she looked up at Joanna from the operating table.

"I didn’t expect you to be so pretty. Your eyes make me think of him— they’re eyes that can tell a million stories. I won’t have any regrets since I can see such beautiful eyes before I die."

"No, you won’t die. I won’t let anything happen to you." Joanna promised, grabbed one of the two men in lab coats, and pulled him to his feet. She then pressed her gun to his head and

ordered fiercely, ’Til give you ten minutes to sew her injuries up. Anything later than that, and I’ll blow your brains out."

The man held a needle and suture thread with shaky hands and whimpered, "It was her!

She didn’t want the anaesthesia, and asked us to be quick. We just wanted to grant her wish."

"Cut the crap!" Joanna slapped the man hard and snarled, "Why don’t I slash your waist without giving you anaesthesia and see how you like it? Do you want that?’

"N-No, please don’t! Well sew up her injuries now." The man immediately started to sew up Taylor’s injuries, and the sight of the needle passing through Taylor’s flash was ghastly.

Joanna held Taylor’s hand and sobbed, "Taylor, hold on, it’ll be over soon. Scream if you’re in pain. It’s my fault I was late... I made you suffer."

Taylor sweated profusely because of the excruciating pain. She then shook her head and said, smiling, "I’m fine. I’ve experienced a lot of things more painful than this. I can take it."

"I’ll take you away after this, and you’ll be reborn. Didn’t you say that my eyes looked

familiar? Do you want to see them again? Well, you should go and see them on your own..."

"I will. I’ll hold on but... I’m a little sleepy. I want to sleep. I’m so tired.’ Taylor’s voice grew weaker, and she struggled to keep her eyes open.

Joanna was scared out of her wits, and screamed at the man stitching Taylor’s wounds,

’What did you do?! Why does she look so weak?
