Chapter 121: Chapter 121

"Good idea." The words were barely out of her mouth when he swept her off the floor and made a run for the bathroom. He turned on the shower and pulled her under it with him, letting warm water soak them within seconds.

She looked up at him through the running water and softly touched his lips with hers. He cupped her face, deepening the kiss as he reached behind her to search for a zipper. Finding none, he frowned in frustration when he remembered she was wearing a romper.

"I’m used to seeing you in dresses. How does this thing work?"

She chuckled and undid a pair of buttons at the end of each strap, and let him pull the straps down her shoulders and all the way off her body in a swift, impatient move. Her tee clung to her body now that it was completely soaked and he couldn’t take the sight of her boobs underneath.

She was not wearing a bra and her hardened nipples proved it, poking at the now translucent fabric and enticing him to touch them.

He caressed her skin under her tee as he gently tugged it upwards and when her boobs were finally bare before him, he couldn’t stop himself anymore. He palmed them gently and gave her nipples a firm squeeze, earning a gasp from her.

"Can I go on?" He asked, despite having already gotten the answer from her body that was writhing in need.

"Screw you." She rolled her eyes. He knew what she wanted and was asking to get a rise out of her.

He chuckled and pressed her back against the glass wall of the shower compartment, gliding his lips down her body. He got down on his knees and looked up at her as he parted her legs and slid a finger up her thigh. He took her hands and pinned them at her sides. "Your hands stay here. Don’t move."

"Okay." She agreed despite knowing it was going to be impossible. How could she not want to touch him?

He stroked her core and she wanted nothing more than to grab onto something, but that was nothing in comparison to the rush of pleasure when he replaced his thumb with his tongue.

She shut her eyes, feeling a tremor in her legs with each stroke of his tongue on her clit. She grabbed a fistful of his hair, only for him to stop and pin her hands at her sides, where he wanted them.

"Don’t move." He reminded her, grinning wickedly through her hazy vision. Then he held her waist and devoured her core like he had been starving for it. Pleasure built up between her legs but he wasn’t done yet. He once again stopped.

"You’re going to be the death of me." She breathed in complaint.

"I’m just getting started." He rose to his feet and repositioned her under the shower, letting her hold the wall for support. Warm water rained down her back but that was nothing compared to the heat she felt between her legs as she felt him behind her, knowing what he was about to do but not being certain when he was going to do it.

She felt his finger at her core and a hum of approval later, he slid into her. "Damon," She gasped as her body adjusted to him.

"What do you need?" He asked with a hard thrust. She took his hand off her waist and glided it up her body to her boob, which he compliantly squeezed as he picked up his pace.

....

After what she felt was the best climax she’d had since his return, he had wanted them to shower together but was so obsessed with washing her hair and boobs that she kicked him out of the bathroom to be able to wash other parts of her body. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎

The next morning, they sat by the window of his room to have breakfast. They had finished baking the cupcakes they had started the night before and had brought a few of them for breakfast.

He took a bite to taste them and was planning on teasing her when he ended up forgetting everything and inhaling the entire cupcake. "Chloe will love these."

She laughed. "You should tell her it’s your hard work."

"I sure will. I had the best teacher to learn from—even though she was ready to kick my ass at the slightest provocation. We should take Angel to school." He continued when he remembered what time it was. "While I would trust Gabriel to drop him off, I think our son is still scared after what happened."

He thought she would agree with him so when she didn’t respond, he realized she had spaced out and was staring out through the window.

"Vivi?" He waved a hand in front of her.

She snapped out of it. "Do you think it’s possible for anyone to see us through the window?"

"It’s a one-way mirror." He reminded her. Only they could see what was happening outside but no one could see them from outside.

"Right. That’s true." She nodded and took a sip of her tea, which looked strained and probably tasted bitter from her expression.

"Is everything okay?" He couldn’t help asking.

She shook her head. "Someone is following me. I know I’m not crazy. I felt eyes watching me yesterday after Angel mentioned seeing a creepy person and I feel it now."

"Angel mentioned seeing a creepy person?"

"Yes. I didn’t see them but deep down I feel he was not exaggerating it."

"And you didn’t tell me?" He interrupted her. She shut up and he suddenly wanted to rub her head for shouting at her.

"What would I say? That Angel saw someone he thinks is suspicious, I didn’t see the person but I think our lives are in mortal danger? The creepy crawler could have been there for someone else and we are not the police!"

He took her hand gently. "Vivi, we would rather be alarmed and have it turn out to be nothing to worry about than let down our guards and find out we should have been careful after all. Did Angel see this person when you picked him from school or while the two of you waited for me after our date?"

"While we waited for you in the parking lot. I felt strange before that but chalked it up to my tiredness after work."

He couldn’t help wondering whether she was being followed for much longer than she thought. He had interrogated Mina regarding the Romanos knowing when and where to find Angel and was convinced that if she didn’t inform them, then the Romanos had been spying on Avery for ages. If Jose Romano was dead, who did it?

She tightened her grip around his hand to remind him of what they were about to do. "Let’s take Angel to school."

"Yes."

....

When he said they needed to be more careful, the last thing she would ever expect was for him to bring them bracelets the following evening, which they both had to wear everywhere.

"How exactly do these work?" She asked even though she could more or less guess it.

"Press the tiny button if you feel threatened. That will call the police and send your location to them and me." He explained to both of them, and took a longer time explaining it to Angel.

"No matter how petty you think it is, just press it. You would rather call me over something that turns out to be a trivial matter than not call me and let it escalate."

"He probably thinks you’re speaking Greek." She remarked, looking down at them.

"Does he? Am I speaking Greek, buddy?" He confirmed. When the boy nodded, he looked at her helplessly for her to help him out.

"You know how we nod or shake our heads when we want to agree or disagree to something without speaking? This button is a way of expressing fear." She explained, touching the small, barely visible button. "If you press it, daddy will know you are scared and need him. Do you think you will remember that?"

His face lit up as he nodded, finally making sense of the new gift. He didn’t particularly like having anything on his wrists but after learning it would help his father get to him if he needed him, he no longer minded it.

"I hope you never have to use them," He sighed as he touched her wrist. "But if you ever need to, I hope you remember."

"Don’t worry. I can protect myself." She believed she was only wearing it so Angel wouldn’t feel alone, and for Damon to stop thinking she was in danger just because she thought she was being followed.

But when she remembered the creepy crawler could only be following her because of Angel, she had to catch her breath. "If I ever need to, I will remember to use it."

"Good." He took Angel’s hand. "Let’s get you to school. Did you get everything you need?"

Avery checked his bag pack even though she had already checked it twice. When the boy bolted out of the room, she knew he had forgotten something but a pink set of crayons was not what she expected.

"I don’t remember buying those?" She blinked in confusion.

"He asked me to buy them." Damon chuckled under his breath, knowing they were for Aubrey. If he made a joke about Angel giving his friend pink crayons as a present, he would be asking for trouble so he kept his remark to himself.
