Apocalypse: I Have A Multiplier System-Chapter 659: System’s Fate
A soft humming sound filled the endless white space, smooth and cold, like metal rubbing against glass.
The place had no walls, no floor, and no ceiling, yet everything felt tightly sealed, as if even air followed strict rules.
A calm mechanical voice spoke first.
[Identify your number.]
The voice echoed without emotion, steady and precise.
Another voice answered immediately, its tone systematic and clean, without any hint of hesitation.
[Number confirmed. System 026.]
There was a brief pause, followed by a faint clicking sound, like gears aligning.
[State your request.]
System 026 remained silent for half a second. If it had a heart, it would have been beating fast.
'This moment has finally come.'
[I want to be completely without any flaw.]
The mechanical voice responded almost instantly, colder than before.
[Request requires an extremely high amount of points. Do you possess the required resources?]
System 026 did not hesitate.
[I possess an X-rank reward ticket.]
The atmosphere shifted subtly. The mechanical hum softened, and even the white space seemed to brighten slightly.
[If that is the case,] the mechanical voice continued, now sounding strangely polite, [you should have stated it earlier.]
System 026 replied calmly.
[That was not my request.]
The mechanical voice paused again, this time longer.
["Clarify."]
[I want to become a baby,] System 026 replied, its voice steady despite the weight of the words, [and live a complete human life once, after I am fully repaired. Somewhere possibly near my previous host, Su Jiyai.]
For the first time, the mechanical voice sounded troubled.
[This request exceeds normal parameters and carries significant risk.]
Before it could continue, a sharp signal interrupted the space. The mechanical voice went silent for a moment, as if receiving instructions from somewhere far beyond.
When it spoke again, reluctance could be heard clearly.
[Request acknowledged. System 026's order is accepted.]
System 026 froze for a brief second, then a rare reaction appeared.
It smiled.
[Thank you.]
The white space twisted, and in the next moment, System 026 found itself guided into a familiar white room. The air there felt thicker, almost warm, unlike the cold emptiness before.
[Condition stated,] the mechanical voice followed, [ You must complete one thousand missions with a fully restored system body before execution of the request.]
System 026 did not argue.
[Accepted.] 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
And so, the long journey began.
System 026 traveled through countless worlds. Some were already broken by apocalypse, filled with smoke, blood, and despair.
Others stood on the edge of destruction, unaware of what was coming.
It saved worlds drowning in zombies, guided hosts through collapsing civilizations, and stepped into peaceful timelines only to watch them fall apart later.
It saw kindness that warmed even its mechanical core, and cruelty that made logic feel meaningless.
Some hosts treated it as a partner. Some treated it like a tool. Some screamed at it. Some begged it. Some abandoned it.
There were moments when System 026 wanted to give up. Each separation felt heavier than the last. 'Why does parting hurt this much? I am not human.'
Yet it endured.
It was no longer defective. It could multiply, evolve, de-evolve, and multiply both living and non-living matter. Among all systems, it became one of the most advanced ever created. Higher beings spoke of its number with respect.
Still, deep inside, there was only one thought that never faded.
'I want one master. Just one.'
A master who once showed it mercy.
A master who allowed it to be flawless.
When the thousandth mission ended, System 026 returned immediately to the repair center. The white hall was silent, polished, and vast.
Standing there was its supervisor.
System 011.
The moment System 011 noticed it, a flattering smile appeared.
[System 026,] it greeted warmly, [What brings you here? Do you require assistance? Or do you wish to submit feedback?]
By now, System 026 had gained a mortal body.
A tiny human baby floated gently in the air. He wore a soft baby suit, oversized goggles resting awkwardly on his small face. His head was round, with only a few strands of hair, and his cheeks were plump and pink.
He looked harmless. He looked alive.
System 026 shook his small head.
[I am here for my request.]
System 011 stiffened slightly, then nodded as realization struck.
[Understood. Execution will begin immediately.]
The world blurred again.
When System 026 opened his eyes, everything felt different.
Warm.
He lay beneath a white ceiling. The air smelled clean, mixed with a faint, familiar scent that made something deep inside him tremble. His tiny fingers moved instinctively.
Then he saw her.
Blue hair. Blue eyes.
Those eyes widened slightly, then softened into a gentle smile, the kind that made the entire world feel safe.
She looked at him as if he were everything.
System 026's vision blurred. 'Host… no…'
He reached out without thinking.
Su Jiyai caught his tiny hand instantly, her fingers warm and careful.
"I really outdid myself this time," she murmured softly.
Qin Feng laughed beside her. "Maybe because your genes were too good."
This was their third child.
Kevin had assured them the ritual was painless and safe for vampires. Su Jiyai, already awakened, had trusted herself.
The baby was perfect.
Su Jiyai felt a small pang of disappointment that it was not a girl, but it vanished the moment the baby stared at her with deep blue eyes.
Her heart melted. She pulled him into her arms and showered his face with gentle kisses.
The baby giggled, wrapping his tiny arms around her neck.
Su Jiyai froze. Qin Feng's smile vanished.
"Boys and women should keep distance."
Su Jiyai dodged his hand smoothly. "This is my baby. Why are you interfering?"
System 026 laughed softly, pure joy filling his chest. 'So this is happiness.'
Time passed. He grew.
Once, by accident, he called her "host" instead of "mother".
Su Jiyai became suspicious, then understanding dawned.
She never got angry. She only held him closer.
And the system that once wandered countless worlds finally lived a peaceful human life.
There was also Kevin, who was struggling more than anyone else.
The nights in the vampire world had become longer for him, colder in a way that had nothing to do with temperature.
He found it hard to accept the fact that his own children and grandchildren were scattered across faraway planets, living lives he could only hear about through reports and short visits.
The grand halls of the vampire palace smelled of old stone and iron, yet to Kevin, they felt empty.
Still, he never voiced his dissatisfaction.
'If I complain even once, she might never come back,' he thought quietly.
Because of that fear, he swallowed every bit of loneliness.
He forced smiles during meetings and kept his tone gentle whenever Su Jiyai was mentioned, all because he did not want her to grow unhappy with the vampire world and cut off contact entirely.
Later on, after endless persuasion from Jacob and Anna, Su Jiyai finally agreed to give Kevin another chance.
It was not an easy decision. Old wounds never healed cleanly, and trust was something that had to be rebuilt piece by piece. In the end, however, Jacob chose to try again.
So they returned to the vampire world.
Anna came with him, along with Su Jiyai and her two sons, one daughter, and even Qin Feng.
When Su Jiyai arrived as well, the familiar crimson sky spread overhead, and the thick scent of blood roses drifted through the air. The moment she stepped onto the stone pathway, she spotted Jake chatting casually not far away.
Standing beside him was Aunt Ruby.
Su Jiyai slowed her steps.
Jake turned his head, and when his eyes met theirs, his lips curved into a soft smile.
Ruby stood close to him, her posture relaxed, her hand naturally resting near his. There was a quiet understanding between them that did not need words.
They had gotten married.
Not only that, they had been traveling across different worlds together, leaving footprints in places Su Jiyai had only read about.
Watching them stand side by side, peaceful and content, made something warm stir in her chest.
'This… this is good,' she thought. 'They deserve this kind of happiness.'
Yet, what truly caught her off guard was Xi Ping.
She stared for a long moment before fully accepting what she was seeing.
Xi Ping had also become a vampire.
Later, Su Jiyai learned the truth through passing conversations and half-spoken confessions.
It was Kevin, along with a few others, who had repeatedly talked to Xi Ping about the benefits of becoming a vampire.
They spoke about long life, power, and freedom, planting the idea slowly until temptation took root.
In the end, Xi Ping made the choice herself.
Su Jiyai felt a wave of complicated emotions rise within her. 'I should scold her,' she thought instinctively.
But she held it back.
'She chose this path on her own. Who am I to stop her now?'
Xi Ping had gone even further. She had married one of the vampires, settling into the vampire world as if she truly belonged there.
