The Tyrant Is A Little Bit Kind-Chapter 78: Diana Tirmag 1
Chapter 78: Diana Tirmag 1
(Third Person POV)
Two weeks later.
In the Western Empire—The Tirmag Empire.
In the northeastern region of the empire...
There lay the imperial capital.
Compared to other cities ravaged by war, the capital looked perfectly fine. Its people lived in comfort, their faces fresh and vibrant.
Inside a hotel in the capital...
Several individuals were gathered in a large room.
They looked peculiar—especially three of them, who were kneeling on the ground, completely motionless.
On the couch sat a girl with white hair, her hands covering her face in frustration.
"It’s over... this empire is doomed. There isn’t a single person worthy of becoming emperor."
Alice lowered her hands, revealing eyes filled with disappointment.
"I really want to know... what did the late emperor teach his children? They’re either scum or completely useless. What a foolish family."
"Hahaha, you shouldn’t speak like that—considering your family includes an idiot heir who knows nothing but the sword, and a mother who has not a shred of honor."
Tiran sat across from Alice, laughing and mocking her.
"Uncle Tiran, insult my brother all you want—he really is stupid. But never speak badly about my mother! Even if she wasn’t a good woman, she’s still my mother, and I won’t let a stranger insult her like that."
Alice’s icy glare sent shivers down Tiran’s spine as he recalled everything she had done during their time traveling together.
’She’s absolutely terrifying.’
Alice ignored Tiran and fell into her thoughts for a while.
"Well, only the First Princess remains—the one we haven’t met yet. Though I don’t have high hopes for her either. Still, let’s see how this ends."
Alice and Tiran headed toward the First Princess’s palace, leaving the others behind in the hotel room.
When they arrived at the palace gates—unlike what had happened with the other princes—the guards didn’t raise their weapons. Instead, they welcomed them warmly.
"Welcome. The First Princess has been expecting you. Please, follow me."
The palace’s head butler greeted them with a respectful bow and began leading them inside.
"This is a good start,"
Tiran whispered to Alice, who remained silent as she looked around.
The servants in the palace worked cheerfully and seemed highly focused on their duties.
’This alone isn’t enough... she probably knew we were coming and staged all this to make herself look good.’
Alice and Tiran sat inside a large, elegant room and waited for the First Princess.
The head butler went to inform her, leaving them alone in the room.
Moments later, the door opened, and a woman entered—dressed simply, yet radiating beauty.
Her face was incredibly beautiful, nearly rivaling Alice’s enchanting features.
She had light blue hair and silver eyes that reflected her status and noble blood.
Though she was already thirty-seven years old, she looked no older than her early twenties.
Her face was gentle, and the warm smile she wore made whoever looked at her feel an odd sense of closeness.
"Welcome to my humble palace. I am Diana Tirmag, First Princess of the Tirmag Empire. I welcome you, Alice Zephyrius, and the undefeated Tiran Valdrik."
Diana greeted them gracefully with a slight bow that showed her pride.
"Greetings, Princess. I’m pleased to meet you,"
Alice stood and bowed as well to show her respect.
"Hello, Princess,"
Tiran, however, remained seated and returned the greeting with disinterest.
Alice and Diana both sat down, silently observing each other for a while.
Alice activated her ability and began receiving incoming information.
After a few moments, surprise flickered across Alice’s face as she looked at Diana.
"Your beauty is truly astonishing, Lady Alice. The portraits didn’t do you justice. I also didn’t know you had regained your sight—congratulations."
Diana broke the silence, watching Alice with a smile that made it hard to read her thoughts.
"Thank you. But you are the charming one, Lady Diana. I didn’t expect the First Princess to be this impressive."
Alice smiled as she returned the compliment.
"Thank you for your kind words. May I ask now—have I passed your test?"
"Hahaha, what do you think?"
Alice covered her mouth and laughed softly, looking at Diana with slight amusement.
"I’ll pass any test, no matter what. But I’m a little curious... on what grounds do you come here and act as if you own this place?"
A heavy killing intent began to fill the room, making it hard for Alice to breathe.
"Hahaha... calm down, young lady, or I’ll be forced to intervene."
A suppressive aura burst from Tiran’s body, immediately canceling out Diana’s killing intent, allowing Alice to breathe normally again.
"Phew... Tiran Valdrik is certainly different. That’s the first time someone has erased my killing intent so easily."
Diana released the breath she had been holding as her aura faded, prompting Tiran to pull his back as well.
"Well, I still haven’t heard the answer to my question, Lady Alice."
Diana focused her gaze on Alice, who now sat quietly with her eyes closed.
"We’re here to support the person we deem worthy to become emperor. In return, they must swear allegiance to our emperor, and the Tirmag Empire becomes our vassal. Does that satisfy your curiosity now?"
Alice opened her eyes and waited silently for Diana’s response, who was deep in thought.
"Hm... Why are you doing this? You clearly don’t need a ruined empire like Tirmag."
"Well, we plan to eliminate the Imperial Court. For that, we need the Western Empire to suppress the Central Empire while we’re occupied with war." freewebnσvel.cøm
Diana’s eyes widened in shock, and she rose from her seat.
"You want to destroy the Court?! Wait... even if the Central Empire might pose problems, you’re still powerful enough to take them both on—the Court and the Central Empire—at the same time. I still don’t get why you need us."
Confusion spread across Alice’s face. She turned to Tiran, looking for an answer.
"I was puzzled by that too. With our current strength, we can face any enemy. But I don’t know why the emperor wants this place so badly that he sent me here with little Alice."
Tiran’s face was unusually serious— unlike he usually used.
’Did Lax deceive me? But how... and why would he do that?’
Alice bit her nails, lost in thought.
’No... I’ll just follow orders for now. Once I return, I’ll ask him everything.’
"That doesn’t matter for now. What matters is why we’re here. I’ve already met the other princes, and frankly, they’ve all disappointed me."
Alice shook her head and turned her gaze back to Diana, who sat quietly.
"Sigh... They’ve been like that since we were kids. I tried to teach them many times—but it was useless."
Diana rubbed her head, clearly frustrated by her brothers.
"I’ll explain everything to you later. But for now... I’ve confirmed your character. What comes next..."
Alice turned her head slightly and gave Tiran a subtle nod.
Tiran understood and rose from his chair.
BOOM!
The ground beneath him cracked as he dashed toward Diana, who was still seated.
In a few breaths, he was close, thrusting his fist toward her.
The moment Diana realized it, she jumped up from her chair, narrowly dodging his punch.
BOOM!
The chair shattered completely, revealing the force behind Tiran’s blow.
"What’s the meaning of this? Are you trying to start a war between our empires?!"
Alice ignored her and looked at Tiran, signaling him to continue.
Tiran charged again, aiming a right punch toward her head.
SWOOSH!
This time, Diana didn’t dodge completely. She shifted her body slightly, deflected the blow with her shoulder, and delivered a strong punch to Tiran’s liver.
BOOSH!
The ground cracked beneath him again, but he remained standing—as if the punch didn’t affect him.
"That was a seriously strong punch."
Tiran was surprised—her strength left him breathless for a moment.
"Even if I die today... I’ll die fighting."
Diana took several steps back and assumed a boxing stance.
Both of them rushed toward each other and began exchanging blows.
BOOSH! BOOSH!
They were so fast that Alice couldn’t keep up with her eyes.
In just a short moment, they had exchanged dozens of punches.
But contrary to expectations, Diana hadn’t been hit once—while Tiran had been struck multiple times already.
Both suddenly leapt back and distanced themselves from each other.
"Hahaha! You’re really good. Excellent,"
Tiran wiped the blood from his lip and looked at Diana, who was now breathing heavily from exhaustion.
"Despite your incredible skill... your body isn’t built to handle it. What a shame."
"I know that. But I’ve already found a way to make up for that weakness."
Diana dropped her boxing stance and pulled a sword from the ring on her finger.
Its hilt was golden, and the blade gleamed sharply.
The sword was medium-length, perfectly suited for her 167 cm height.
BZZZT!
Blue lightning began to surge from her body, so intensely that from a distance, one might think she was being electrocuted.
"Lightning magic?! You possess lightning magic?! That’s amazing!"
It was Alice who spoke, watching from afar, completely captivated by the rare magic.
Lightning magic was unlike any other. It was a unique element a person had to be born with. It couldn’t be acquired through regular chanting like ordinary magic.
An example was Elena’s shadow magic—she was the only known person in the world who could use it.
