The Tyrant Is A Little Bit Kind-Chapter 41: Relax Time 1
Chapter 41: Relax Time 1
(Orlax POV)
As the car sped through the middle of the city, I started looking at the streets around me, watching the people walking.
The capital was one of the most developed cities, one of the safest with the fewest accidents, and considered one of the richest cities in the world.
The car stopped in front of a sports car dealership, and Alice opened the door, stepping out.
I followed her along with Riana, who was carrying Sera, and I took a glance at the dealership.
Ignoring the stares directed at us, we walked into the store together.
As soon as I stepped inside, I saw a man in a formal suit rushing towards us, panting.
"Your Majesty, it is an honor to have you in our humble store. How may I serve you?"
The man bowed so deeply that I thought his back might break if he stayed in that position for too long.
"I’m here to buy a car for Riana. Show me the best vehicles you have."
"A car for the Empress? Follow me, Your Majesty. I have exactly what you need."
We followed the man until we reached a completely gold-plated car with only two seats.
"This is the latest and most expensive model we currently have. Its top speed is about 300 miles per hour, and it is coated in pure gold on the outside."
After the man finished explaining all the car’s specifications, I turned to Riana, who was standing beside me, and spoke.
"So? What do you think? Do you like it?"
"Well, it’s beautiful, but I want something less flashy."
"Oh, of course, Your Majesty. Follow me."
This time, the man led us to a tall, four-door car with a black body and silver streaks.
"This is one of the best cars we have. It also features highly advanced technology, four-wheel drive, and a top speed of 250 miles per hour. It’s extremely practical for travel and very comfortable inside."
"It looks really good. Can I see the interior?"
"Of course, Your Majesty. Please, take a look yourself."
Riana opened the car door after handing Sera to me and began inspecting the interior, admiration visible in her eyes.
"I like it,How much does it cost?"
"Your Majesty, it is a limited edition, and there are only five of them in the world. After discounts and everything, the price comes to 30 million credit points."
Riana was shocked by the price, which was nearly equivalent to the budget of Baron Elin for two years.
"That’s extremely expensive!"
"Ahem, Your Majesty, there are only five of these cars in the world, and four of them have already been sold. Naturally, its price is high."
Riana carefully stepped out of the car, looking hesitant, and moved away from it.
"Let’s find something else. It’s too expensive."
I sighed at Riana’s reaction and turned to the man, who looked confused.
"How long will it take for us to get this car?"
"Immediately, Your Majesty. The Empress only needs to sign the ownership papers, and everything will be delivered to the palace tomorrow."
"Wait, wait, I told you it’s expensive. Did you not hear me?"
Seeing Riana’s panicked reaction, a slight smile formed on my lips, and I decided to joke with her.
"Why are you worried about the money? It’s coming from the people’s taxes anyway."
I saw Riana’s soul leave her body when she heard that.
"Does that mean I bought a car using the Empire’s budget? Have I committed financial embezzlement?"
She began mumbling to herself, thinking about a suitable punishment for her crime.
"Hahaha, why are you teasing her like that, Lax? The poor girl is already considering selling her organs to repay the money."
After Alice pulled her hand away from Riana and commented on her inner thoughts, I felt the urge to laugh but held back.
"Riana, let me ask you a question. When was the Empire of Tirshtain founded?"
"Huh, why that question? It was established over five thousand years ago."
"Alright, and over that time, how much wealth do you think the imperial family has accumulated?"
I saw the light return to Riana’s eyes after she heard my words, and she jumped toward me.
"Phew, why didn’t you tell me that from the start? I thought I was stealing from the people."
Riana wiped the sweat off her forehead and a mischievous smile appeared on her face.
"Since this money belongs to the imperial family, I have the right to use it, correct?"
"Yes."
"Hehehe, then I’ll use it as I please until it runs out completely."
"Try it. Maybe you’ll accomplish that goal in about a thousand years."
"Your Majesty, why don’t we take your car and go for a ride?"
Alice suggested, excitement sparkling in her eyes as she anticipated trying Riana’s new car.
"Oh, come on, don’t call me Empress. Just call me Riana."
"Of course, hehe."
"Can we take the car out now?"
After finishing her conversation with Alice, Riana turned to the suited man and asked him for the keys.
After signing all the paperwork, Riana sat in the driver’s seat, while I took the passenger seat beside her, holding Sera, who was curiously exploring the new car.
Alice relaxed in the back seat, enjoying the plush cushions.
"It’s incredibly comfortable."
"Yes, it really is."
Riana and Alice discussed the quality of the seats while I played with Sera, who was starting to get bored.
Riana started the engine, and the car slowly moved away from the dealership.
When I saw Riana’s happy smile as she drove, I smiled instinctively, but my smile faded when I remembered the loyalty gauge.
’Are you truly happy now, or is this just an act? I no longer know who you really are, Riana.’
I focused my mind and activated the loyalty gauge.
[Alice: 97]
[Riana: 84]
’Huh? 84?? How did her thoughts about me change so fast? Was it because of the car? No, no, Riana isn’t someone who can be won over with money. Did something happen while I wasn’t watching? Or perhaps because of this...’
[Sword Spirit: This skill will guide you in life and suggest beneficial things for your future.]
’Did this skill show her something that made her change her perception of me?’
I kept thinking of all the reasons why Riana might have forgotten her hatred towards me, but I stopped after a while and looked at Alice.
’Alice froze when she touched Riana earlier. She must know the reason for Riana’s change. I’ll ask her later.’
I snapped out of my thoughts and focused on Sera in my hands.
After some time, Riana pulled the car to the side of the road, satisfied with the vehicle.
"It’s really amazing. Now, shall we go back to the palace?"
"Since we’re already out, why not enjoy ourselves a little?"
Alice suggested with her usual smile while I looked at her curiously.
"How will we walk among the people when they see us and recognize our identities?"
"Oh, you’re worried about that? I have a solution."
After hearing Alice’s words, she raised her hand, and several lights formed around her. These lights moved towards us, enveloping us completely.
When I turned to Riana beside me, I saw that her hair, eye color, and physical features had changed entirely—she looked like a completely different person.
"What just happened?"
I turned to Alice in the backseat, but I saw that her appearance had changed too. I quickly turned to the car’s side mirror and discovered that my appearance had changed as well.
"How did you do this, Alice? This is fifth-grade illusion magic, and you’re only at the second grade."
I curiously asked Alice, who was now in her new form, about her revealed ability.
"Hehehe, I’ll tell you later about my powers, Now, let’s go out and have fun!"
Alice quickly jumped out of the car, cheering with excitement and drawing people’s attention.
I carried Sera, who had also transformed, in my arms, opened the car door, and stood on the sidewalk next to Alice.
Riana got out, locked the car, and stood beside us, looking at our new appearances in confusion.
"Alright, what do we do now?"
Alice, who was excited, looked at a nearby café.
"Let’s sit in this café for a while."
Riana and I followed Alice into the café and sat at a nearby table.
A waiter approached us, holding a tablet, and placed it in front of us.
"Welcome to our café. Once you’re done with your order, please call me so I can take it."
"Yes, thank you."
Riana and Alice began selecting from the menu, while I had already decided on an orange juice.
After they finished discussing their choices, I called the waiter and handed him all our orders.
I watched Alice, who was chatting easily with Riana, who seemed surprised by Alice’s relaxed demeanor.
’She must have seen something in Riana that makes her comfortable around her.’
After a few minutes, our orders arrived, and I grabbed my juice, sipping it slowly.
