The Tycoon's Enchanted Mermaid-Chapter 58 - : He is Not Without Weaknesses
Chapter 58: Chapter 58: He is Not Without Weaknesses
Ah Da thought she was Su Qingtong’s friend and politely answered, “I’m not interested, I can’t do anything.”

She couldn’t act, couldn’t get along with people, and had no special talents; Ah Da was well aware of her limitations.
Sister Liu wouldn’t give up. Such a promising newcomer was rare to come by, and she couldn’t let the talent go to waste. She excitedly said, “You can learn if you don’t know how. It’s simple. As long as you’re willing, I guarantee that in a year… no, half a year, you’ll definitely become famous!”
“No, thanks.” Ah Da still refused.
Sister Liu became anxious, wanting to continue persuading, and even stepped forward to grab Ah Da, but Long Qi stepped in front of her and said sternly, “Please step back!”
Only then did Sister Liu notice the imposing man beside the young girl. Having been immersed in the entertainment industry for many years and seeing many big figures and events, she knew from his look that this man was not to be provoked.
...
Su Qingtong, seeing Sister Liu hit a wall and feeling schadenfreude, had not stopped Sister Liu earlier because she saw that Long Qi, the icy man, was with Ah Da. She guessed that Qin Yu was concerned about Ah Da and had assigned someone to prevent her from being taken away.
Tsk, how petty.
Although Sister Liu was timid, she was relentless for the sake of money and didn’t give up, shouting to Ah Da from a distance, “Little sister, think it over carefully, and contact me anytime if you change your mind.”
Su Qingtong pulled Ah Da away, and while pressing the elevator button, she said, “That woman is a fraudster, specifically swindling young girls. Just ignore her nonsense.”
Ah Da laughed, “Did she trick you too? Is she the creditor you mentioned?”
Su Qingtong sighed, “Yes, I was blinded by money back then and got conned into signing a five-year indenture.”
“Five years isn’t too long,” Ah Da remarked, feeling that five years indeed weren’t much for them.
“That’s exactly what I thought initially,” Su Qingtong said with a smile, looking at Ah Da. “It’s not a long time, but the work is quite torturous.”
Ah Da remembered the verbal abuse on social media and frowned, “Is it because many people criticized you?”
“That’s one of the reasons,” Su Qingtong didn’t want to delve deeper into the distasteful aspects of the entertainment industry with Ah Da. “Just don’t get conned like I did. If all else fails, I can still support you in the future, provided you get your health in order.”
Although that man beside her might not give her the chance, alas, it was frustrating. If only she had found her earlier, but there were no ifs, Su Qingtong felt extremely dejected.
Ah Da didn’t think too much. She seriously told Su Qingtong her idea, “I plan to sell all those bottles and jars I have when the time is right. They’re all very old items and should be worth quite a bit of money. I had to stay in the incense burner before, but now that I can come out, I definitely shouldn’t waste it.”
Su Qingtong didn’t expect her to have such an epiphany. All this time, she had thought Ah Da was naive and believed everything others said, even more so than Little Pink Bottle and Jade Pot, the two Artifact Spirits that had not transformed. Now it seemed not to be the case.
“That’s a very good idea. I support you,” Su Qingtong said as she put an arm around her shoulders, affirming and encouraging her, then jokingly added, “I didn’t expect you to be a hidden rich woman, okay, okay, I accept that you’ll support me.”
Ah Da was delighted, genuinely wanting to support Su Qingtong, and immediately agreed, “It’s settled then. Once I have money, I’ll be your backer in the future and invest in dramas for you.”
“You know about investing? Where did you learn that?” Su Qingtong was genuinely surprised. Much can change in three days.
Ah Da shook her head and didn’t say.
In fact, she had learned it from an anti-haters group. Two Bronze Sword fans in the group, besides their daily exchanges of attacks and defenses with haters, often complained about Bronze Sword’s poor treatment, the company’s inaction, and oppression. They even expressed a wish to be millionaires and personally invest in scripts.
Ah Da had been silently observing and occasionally interacting with them, finding it especially interesting.
When the two reached the first floor by elevator, Long Qi, who had been blocking Sister Liu upstairs, was already waiting at the elevator’s entrance. Evidently, he had taken the stairs down.
He wasn’t out of breath or sweaty, and Ah Da thought he was truly impressive; in comparison, he seemed more like a demon.
After getting into the car, Su Qingtong reported the address to the driver, and the black car exited the residential area and entered the main road.
Ah Da and Su Qingtong chatted and laughed along the way, making the time fly by, and before they knew it, they had arrived at their destination.
Capital City’s famous snack street, backed by a tourist area with a prime location, stretched endlessly with snack stalls, and once Ah Da got out of the car, she smelled a very pleasant burnt aroma.
“It’s so lively here,” Ah Da couldn’t help but exclaim.
“It smells so good, since we’re here, let’s eat something first,” Su Qingtong said as she put on a mask and pulled Ah Da into the crowd, followed closely by Long Qi and two other bodyguards with stern faces.
Having explored most of the snack street, Ah Da bought a lot of things—bubble tea, grilled chicken legs, fried skewers, and scallion oil pancakes.
The freshly made pancakes were cut into small squares and packed in a kraft paper bag. Ah Da picked a small piece with a chopstick and put it in her mouth, exclaiming with surprise, “This is the taste.”
Su Qingtong held things for her and, after she had eaten most of it, threw it into the trash can, “Alright, it’s about time.”
The two girls walked side by side, with Long Qi and the two bodyguards still following not too close yet not too far, and Long Qi occasionally took photos to report to Third Young Master, attracting quite a few sideways glances.
After leaving the snack street, a man with a ponytail poked his head out of a window of a three-story building. His clothes were disheveled, his neck bore marks, and his peach blossom eyes slightly squinted as he watched the direction they were leaving in.
“What’s wrong, Hengzhi?”
A woman in a shirt came up from behind him, her white hands wrapping around the man’s waist, and her red lips kissing his shoulder.
Qin Hengzhi leaned his side against the window sill, with his hand on the woman’s body, blatantly groping, making his already devilish looks seem even more bewitching, “I just saw something very interesting, perhaps, my little brother isn’t without weaknesses.”
The woman bit her lip, laughed charmingly, and wrapped her arms around Qin Hengzhi’s neck, blowing into his ear, “Is it the same kind of weakness as yours?”
Qin Hengzhi’s expression darkened, suddenly grabbing the woman by the neck, ignoring her fright, his hand’s veins bulging until her eyes rolled back, then he eased his grip a bit.
He leaned in and whispered like a lover, “Do you know me well? Tell me, what are my weaknesses?”
The woman frantically shook her head, her swollen eyes filled with fear, unable to say a word.
She never expected the man who was tender with her moments ago to suddenly choke her violently; the moment she felt suffocation, she believed this man was capable of killing her.
Qin Hengzhi caressed her face, gazed at her with deep, affectionate eyes, and returned to his usual gentle and considerate demeanor.
“Be obedient. Don’t listen to what you shouldn’t, don’t say what you shouldn’t, I don’t like that.”
The woman nodded, her body trembling as she hugged him.
…
Behind the snack street was Lingcheng Mountain, a semi-open 5A scenic area. Su Qingtong, pulling Ah Da, walked up the mountainside. They passed a fork in the road, and to the right, there stood a sign with “No Entry” written on it.
Ignoring the warning, they continued and came upon a checkpoint.
Ah Da watched as Su Qingtong handed over her ID card; the staff member in the small pavilion scanned the ID with a machine and recorded everyone’s names in a notebook.
