Chapter 32: Chapter 32: So cute, he also wants to raise one
Seeing the little girl’s expression, Tang Bufan leaned in teasingly, “You think so too, right?”

“What do I think, I don’t, stop making things up.” Although Qin Yu has faults, Ah Dai would never speak ill of her; she refused to be ungrateful and disloyal.
Tang Bufan raised an eyebrow, not expecting the little girl to be so hard to deceive and quite sensible at that. It seemed her parents had done a good job raising her.
“Little Ade, tell Brother Tang, how long have you been living here?”
Ah Dai didn’t want to say but, harassed by Tang Bufan’s buzzing around her like a fly, she replied nonchalantly to get rid of the nuisance, “Three days.”
“Only three days? No wonder I didn’t see you last time I came,” Tang Bufan said.
...
Ah Dai muttered to herself, wondering how he could have missed her, as last time she had come with him, only he was unaware of it.
If he knew, it might scare him to death.
Tang Bufan sought another topic, “Little Ade, aren’t you about to start school? Will you be attending school in the Capital City later on?”
Ah Dai looked at him in silence, “Why do you talk so much? I don’t want to answer you.”
If anyone else had snubbed him like this, Tang Bufan would have surely taken the opportunity to put them in their place, but faced with Ah Dai’s tender baby-faced innocence as she softly said she didn’t want to answer, it made his heart melt.
Indeed, she had been born with a pleasant appearance; Tang Bufan was starting to understand why Qin Yu would want to raise a child.
As cute and pretty as Ah Dai was, he too wanted to raise one.
“Alright, I’ll ask one last question. Don’t you want to go out and have fun? It’s so boring here.” Tang Bufan asked, a sly grin on his face, like a big bad wolf plotting to steal away a little rabbit.
Ah Dai’s hand paused, her lashes lifted, and then she sagged back down, “He won’t let me go out.”
“He? Qin Yu?” Tang Bufan asked.
Looking towards him with a wilted demeanor, Ah Dai said, “Yeah, I have to tell him if I go out. If he doesn’t approve, I can’t go.”
Tang Bufan was surprised by how responsible Qin Yu was being with this little girl, practically imposing restrictions on her personal freedom.
This only reinforced his determination to whisk her away.
Tang Bufan began persuading her gently, “Do you always listen to him? Don’t you want to go out and have fun? The Capital City has lots of fun places – theme parks, Happy Valley, all sorts of delicious foods. Everything you could want.”
A spark of excitement flickered in Ah Dai’s eyes, and she put down the flower in her hand, turning to look up at him with hopeful, bright eyes, “Could you ask him for me? You’re his friend, right?”
If Tang Bufan could persuade Qin Yu to let her out, perhaps she could use the opportunity to connect with Bronze Sword and at least gain some useful information. It was an opportunity too good to miss.
Ah Dai watched Tang Bufan nervously.
With a turn of fortune, Tang Bufan couldn’t help but feel a hint of smugness, leaning back with his arms crossed, “So you want my help? There’s no such thing as a free lunch in this world. Come on, call me Brother Tang first and let’s hear it.”
Ah Dai inwardly ground her teeth, she knew it wouldn’t be so easy to deal with him. Her eyes shifted as she frowned and sighed, “Never mind, I see I can’t rely on someone like you.”
Tang Bufan exclaimed in mock surprise, “You’re quite shrewd, little girl, not willing to take a loss at all. Who did you learn from?”
Strategically retreating to advance, she was full of tricks.
Tang Bufan tapped the little girl’s head with a finger, refusing to concede, “What’s it to you to call me Brother? Others aren’t even allowed to call me that, and here you are fussing.”
Ah Dai covered the spot where the tap had landed, “You’re not my brother, if others want to call you that, let them.”
According to age, it wasn’t she who should call him brother, but rather he who should address her as a venerable ancestor.
Ignoring her protests, Tang Bufan deliberately ruffled her hair with a bit more force than necessary, finding the soft texture as he had expected, quite pleasant to the touch.
“You want to go out, right? Come on, I’ll take you out,” Tang Bufan stood up, looking down at the small figure on the ground.
Ah Dai looked up, “Can you really take me out?”
Tang Bufan: “What, you don’t trust me?”
“How can that be, of course I trust you, so go ahead and call Qin Yu already,” Ah Da said, standing up excitedly.
“Changing faces so quickly, did you learn that somewhere?” Tang Bufan placed his hand on her head, bent down, and put his finger to his lips, “If you want to get out, then don’t be so loud.”
Seeing his actions, Ah Da suspiciously asked, “You’re not planning on sneaking me out, are you?”
“What else?” Tang Bufan said with full conviction, “How much chance do you think there is that Qin Yu will agree if we ask him?”
Ah Da, rendered speechless, knew he wasn’t dependable but hadn’t expected him to be this undependable, making the fear of Qin Yu sound so refreshingly unconcerned.
“I bet you simply dare not call Qin Yu.”
Ah Da, frustrated.
“Does it matter? It doesn’t matter. The point is whether we can get out or not,” Tang Bufan’s thick skin deflected all criticism, and he continued to tempt, “Little Ah Da, don’t be so rigid in your thinking. As far as I know about Qin Yu’s temperament, if you want to go out, it has to be done first and reported afterward, catching him off guard. Otherwise, there’s no chance. Besides, if you go out with me, I guarantee I’ll be responsible for your safety, so don’t worry.”
Actually, as long as she could get out, Ah Da didn’t mind the method. Thinking this, she took the initiative to grab Tang Bufan’s clothes, “Then how do you propose we sneak out?”
The little girl was finally hooked, and all his talk hadn’t been wasted. Tang Bufan suppressed the upward curl of his lips and squatted next to her to whisper in her ear, “Like this, first go upstairs and change into something inconspicuous, then sneak out through the back door and wait for me at garage number two.”
After listening, Ah Da nodded, looking obedient and slightly naive. Tang Bufan couldn’t help but extend his palm.
“Then here’s to our plan going smoothly.”
Ah Da high-fived him: “Okay.”
Agreement reached.
To buy Ah Da some time, Tang Bufan deliberately went to Uncle Wen to pretend to discuss something. Ah Da quickly went back to her room to change clothes and put on shoes, planning to sneak from the back door to hide in the garage.
She descended the stairs safely, and not seeing any maids at the back door, Ah Da successfully entered the garage. Just as she thought she’d succeeded, she was met head-on by a girl wearing a blue dress with a white coat over it, dragging a small suitcase.
Their eyes met directly, and Ah Da’s heart stopped.
It’s over, exposed.
Wen Min looked shocked; she hadn’t expected to encounter a little girl in the Qin Family’s garage.
“Whose child are you, and what are you doing here?” Wen Min approached quickly with furrowed brows and a stern tone.
Ah Da secretly sighed with relief; she didn’t recognize her.
“I am…”
“She’s my child, what about it?”
Before she could finish speaking, a male voice came from the entrance and cut her off. Ah Da turned her head and saw Tang Bufan walking in quickly from the entrance, holding car keys and silhouetted by the light, a tall figure.
Wen Min didn’t recognize the man in front of her, but she wasn’t blind or foolish. Ignoring his aura, just by the clothes and accessories Tang Bufan wore, even a fool could tell he was no ordinary person.
Ah Da took the opportunity to quickly run behind Tang Bufan and hide. Tang Bufan also stood protectively in front of her.
“And who might you be, you don’t look like a servant here?” Tang Bufan scrutinized Wen Min with an evaluative gaze.
Perhaps the man before her was born an aristocrat, his gaze bearing an innate arrogance. Wen Min nervously gripped the handle of her suitcase, took a deep breath, and said with a poised smile:
“I am Housekeeper Wen’s granddaughter, my name is Wen Min. I came here to see my grandfather for something. I apologize for my brashness earlier, disturbing you and the young lady.”
She explained the situation, gave her name and relationship, and even apologized, a true embodiment of the Wen Family.
Tang Bufan hadn’t intended to make a big deal out of it, he was just curious to see what reaction Qin Yu would have upon discovering that Ah Da had been sneaked away.
