the two-faced Adopted Girl Who Melted CEO's Ice-Cold Heart-Chapter 995: How Can You, Ranked Last, Have the Nerve to Mock Me?
"Richard Shaw, you’re already ugly, and you hang out with Crystal Landon all the time, what’s your problem?" Sophia Winton scolded angrily.
"Sophia, your grades have come out. You’re 500th in the whole grade, which means you’ve advanced ten spots since last semester." A female classmate squeezed out from the crowded bulletin board, smiling flatteringly.
Sophia snorted lightly, proudly raised her chin, like a peacock, and said with her nostrils in the air, "Even though I’m an arts student, I still study hard."
Crystal Landon heard this and burst out laughing, her beautiful almond eyes squinted as she lazily said, "So you studied hard and only got 500th in the grade, huh."
Out of 514 students, she came 500th, which is indeed the 15th from the bottom.
"Crystal, you talk as if you’re better than me. You came last and have the nerve to mock me?" Sophia instantly yelled in frustration at the crowds, "You all get out of here, I’m going to check Crystal’s grades."
Sophia’s family might not be top-class nobility, but they held some influence. Winton sisters always acted like princesses at school, the whole grade knew her, and some classmates immediately whispered to make way for her.
"Crystal, let’s just leave, or we’ll be laughed at to death." Nova Howard, seeing all the eyes on them and thinking of Crystal’s unbearable grades, wanted to pull her away.
Crystal patted her hand, reassuring her. During the past half month, she’d been frantically doing test papers, attending make-up classes, with Hawk Howard overseeing at school and Richard Shaw at home. Both are top students, and although their teaching methods differed, both were effective.
She was very confident about this exam, she knew how to solve many problems; surpassing Sophia, who was 15th from the bottom, was a piece of cake.
"That’s Crystal Landon? She’s really beautiful."
"Snap out of it, her boyfriends range from the inner ring to the third ring, all rich and influential."
"What’s the use of a pretty face? She’s still an airhead. Those noble heirs when choosing a wife, look at the brains, not the face."
"If I had her looks, why bother studying? I’d go straight into showbiz."
The crowd was abuzz with discussion.
Sophia searched over and over, starting from the bottom rank, and found that even looking up to the 30th from the last, she couldn’t find Crystal’s name. She promptly called over two female classmates, saying, "You two come help me search, start from the last place. I must’ve missed it."
The two female classmates, sweating profusely, helped Sophia look, their faces growing more sullen as time passed.
They had looked up to the 300th from the bottom.
"Found it," a female classmate shouted loudly.
"What rank?" Sophia looked delightedly and asked.
That girl calculated and said, "424th."
Upon hearing this, Sophia immediately turned her head, flipped her long hair, and mocked, "Crystal, you must’ve cheated for your 424th; you scored zero in English half a month ago."
"Sophia, Crystal scored, she scored." That girl’s voice grew softer and softer as she timidly said, "She scored 90th."
The crowd instantly exploded into chaos, everyone squeezed through to check the scores.
90th? At St. Yale High School, the top 100 in the grade are surely headed to prestigious universities every year, how could Crystal possibly score 90th?
"What are you talking about, you just said 424th."
"424th from the bottom." The girl was too scared to speak anymore.
