Chapter 945: Chapter 945: If You Don’t Make Me Angry, I Won’t Run Away from Home Anymore

After getting in the car, Delphine curiously asked, "How did you persuade Benjamin?"

The man’s gaze deepened, and he smiled, "Once you learn the painting lesson I taught you last night, I’ll tell you."

Delphine’s face flushed, and her large, dark eyes glared at him angrily, her ears turning red. What kind of painting lesson did he teach? Clearly it wasn’t.

Seeing her cheeks as rosy as if she’d applied blush, quite different from the pale look when she first returned to the Leclair residence, Ignatius felt his heart stir, hugged her, and said with a deep laugh, "No rush, we have plenty of time to learn slowly." 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂

The man thought of her slim waist and long legs, his gaze darkening as he smiled, determined to teach her sooner or later.

As for what he told Benjamin, naturally, it was about bringing back a little brother for him. He also wanted a son who looked like both him and Delphine, a son he could teach personally, whereas Nicholas and Benjamin could be left to their own devices as long as they were happy.

The private jet landed in the city closest to the Old Town, and for the remaining journey, Ignatius drove his most used Bentley.

Fortunately, the Old Town had developed its tourism industry, so the roads were decent, and they arrived after a three or four-hour drive.

By the time they reached the Old Town, it was just noon. Since they had booked the vacation in advance, Ignatius had Maximilian come over a week before with the items they would need.

The car couldn’t fit into the alley, so the man parked it at the street corner and then got out with the luggage.

There were no islands, no overwater villas, no chance to show off abs, and no candlelit dinners—only the slightly secluded Old Town, with its cobblestones, green moss, and old houses.

Seeing Delphine return to the Old Town with a cheerful disposition, Ignatius suddenly felt it was well worth it. After all, he had never stayed in the Old Town before, so it was a new experience for him.

"The last time we came here, I remember it was Chinese New Year’s Eve," the man said in a low voice, reaching for her hand as they headed toward the old house he remembered. Back then, he and Maximilian roamed around this small town, already forming a mental map of it.

"Madam, you seem to have run away from home quite a few times," Ignatius sighed.

Delphine felt a bit embarrassed, seeing his lingering resentment, she shook his arm and said, "If you don’t upset me again, I won’t run away anymore."

"More conditions?" the man squinted, slightly raising his chin, his handsome face expressionless.

"No, no conditions," Delphine smiled, then saw Maximilian come out to greet them.

"Mr. Leclair, Miss Delphine, the rooms have been cleaned and repaired enough to live in temporarily, although the renovation is extensive and not yet complete," Maximilian said with a smile. Reflecting on the workload of the past week, he could barely maintain his smile.

This old house, probably passed down since the Qing Dynasty and left vacant for over a decade, took all his energy and many hired hands to clean thoroughly. After airing it out for a week and sanitizing inside and out, it was finally presentable just before Mr. Leclair arrived.

Delphine eagerly moved forward to look at the old house.

The man watched her cheerful silhouette, a hint of a smile in his eyes, and instructed Maximilian softly, "You can return to Nanyang."

Maximilian hesitated a bit, "There’s no urgent work in Nanyang, the old house still has a lot of renovation that needs doing, and the fourth master said Mr. Leclair shouldn’t exhaust himself. I’d better stay. The Old Town also has plenty of inns, and I rented one for a month with the rent already paid."

Ignatius nodded, permitting him to stay, as long as he didn’t disturb his and Delphine’s private world.
