Chapter 926: Chapter 926: Going for a Checkup Tomorrow

Delphine was just afraid he would catch a cold with his wet hair, so she helped him dry it. Who would’ve thought, that the man suddenly kissed her, leaving them both breathless in the end.

The blind man moved gently, and Delphine, holding onto the last shred of sanity, rasped, "Ignatius, you have a check-up tomorrow."

The man’s tall body shook, and he replied dangerously, "A check-up is just a check-up; what do you think I want to do? Baby, are you inviting me?"

Delphine was so embarrassed by his affectionate address that she couldn’t open her eyes, but fortunately, he couldn’t see her. She pushed him away vigorously.

"Then you can dry your hair yourself." She spat out and looked around for the towel, only to find it had fallen to the ground.

She climbed off the bed, picked up the towel, tossed it at him, and then ran to the balcony to cool down.

Seeing her leave, the man clutched the towel, calming the turmoil inside, and stood up with a laugh. In the process, his hair had already dried. Ignatius thought about the pre-surgery check-up tomorrow and the series of surgeries that would follow. His heart felt heavy, unknowingly bringing a cold and refined look to his face.

Though he had long arranged everything for Delphine, the Leclair residence, and his grandfather, the man was still somewhat fearful inside—fearful of not being able to continue with Delphine, or see Benjamin and Nicholas grow up.

Having stepped through the years to reach where he was, he realized that power and wealth were fleeting like clouds. Heaven is fair to everyone regarding life and death. If he could get through this hurdle, he was determined to make up for the warmth and time lost over the years.

The next morning, Arthur White and Richard Shaw came over to take Ignatius to the laboratory, followed by a small tail, Nicholas.

Nicholas might be considered a fool in life, but in medicine, especially neurology, he’s a genius. The research he has done in recent years is countless, and the statements he has made are shocking on an international level.

In fact, Nicholas is wholeheartedly devoted to research. Those findings and statements are scattered all over, and when he’s doing research, he becomes like a madman. The laboratory’s perpetual mess makes it almost impossible to even find footing.

Ignatius occasionally remembered the fourth brother and would drag him out of the lab, selectively releasing some less radical statements and handing the research results directly to the R&D department. If the world knew all of Nicholas’s statements, they might have set fire to the lab.

What kind of nonsense are these remarks?

After some of Nicholas’s statements were put into practice by Delphine’s R&D department, and some inventions hit the market, everyone suddenly realized Delphine held a treasure chest, and Nicholas’s fame skyrocketed, joining the ranks of top international experts.

However, Delphine’s protection of Nicholas was always excellently managed; the young, brilliant genius hadn’t even had a photo exposed.

This time, Richard Shaw invited a neurology expert partially due to power and wealth, and partially out of interest in Nicholas, to see the lab.

In the medical field, it’s known that the laboratory Delphine poured immense resources into building is top-tier internationally, with many instruments being independently developed.

In the morning, Arthur dragged Nicholas out of the lab, threw him in the shower, cleaned him up enough to be presentable, and then brought him along to fetch Ignatius.
