the two-faced Adopted Girl Who Melted CEO's Ice-Cold Heart-Chapter 868: That Little Lover Looks About Fifty or Sixty Percent Like You
The girl was drenched from head to toe, her makeup ruined, and her entire dress was destroyed. She screamed and nearly fainted.
The surrounding socialites exclaimed, "Who are you, going crazy like this?"
Bessie Leclair held an empty wine glass and sneered, "Coming to my family’s venue to spread rumors and you don’t even know who I am? Get out, before I have someone drag you out."
"That’s Bessie Leclair, let’s go."
"What a madwoman."
A few people hastily supported the girl drenched in red wine and rushed out, causing a small commotion.
Bessie Leclair casually placed the empty glass aside and looked at Delphine, arrogantly saying, "This is the benefit of power and status. Now I own a third of the Leclair Family’s assets. In Southeast Asia, there’s no one I need to fear."
Meeting her this time, Delphine noticed she had changed a lot and coldly said, "There are many such rumors; there’s no need to make a big deal out of it. You can’t possibly silence everyone."
"Seeing them is like seeing the foolish me of the past." Bessie took another glass of red wine, sipped it from her crimson lips, and coldly said, "Wait a while, they’ll start talking about my scandals. These kinds of women, I’ll splash each one I see."
Delphine smiled and said indifferently, "Whatever makes you happy."
Bessie suddenly noticed someone entering, her body stiffened, and her beautiful face twisted slightly. She coldly said, "The three things Jocelyn Yeager cares most about: reputation, power, and affection, but today he’s destined to have none of them."
Following her gaze, Delphine saw Jocelyn Yeager entering. The man was still elegant and refined, completely unaware that he had stepped into the territory of his ex-wife’s insane revenge.
In her youth, she had some fondness for him, but those feelings had long faded. Now, he had nothing to do with her.
Bessie watched as Delphine calmly sipped her champagne, wearing no luxurious jewelry, yet exuding an aura of elegance and composure. A flicker of jealousy and bewilderment flashed in her eyes.
Suddenly, Bessie lowered her voice and said, "Did you know Jocelyn Yeager is keeping a mistress? She resembles you, five or six points similar. Supposedly she’s only 20. Do you guess he calls your name or hers when he’s with her?"
Delphine was instantly disgusted, her eyes turning cold as she looked at Bessie and said, "What exactly do you want me to help you with?"
Bessie curled her lips into a cold smile and said, "You’ve already helped me a lot; otherwise, Jocelyn wouldn’t have shown up. Just sit back and enjoy the show."
As Jocelyn entered, Arthur White leaned in and whispered something to Ignatius Leclair.
The man’s cold, harsh gaze settled on Jocelyn Yeager, who was immediately surrounded, then moved through the crowd, searching for Delphine. When he saw her with Bessie, his handsome brows furrowed deeply.
Ignatius Leclair gave a slight smile to those around him, walked to the side, and asked in a low voice, "Where’s Griffith Squire?"
"He’s on his way and should be here soon," Arthur White replied.
Ignatius nodded, a trace of indifference on his handsome face. He gently rubbed the stem of his wine glass with his long fingers, his gaze following Delphine’s silhouette. A flicker of violent hostility darted through his phoenix eyes.
"Mr. Leclair, the doctor said you shouldn’t drink, not even red wine," Arthur said worriedly.
Ignatius let out a cold laugh, downed the wine in his glass, and coldly said, "After tonight, if you are still by my side, then you can say these things."
