The Twisted Obsession-Chapter 325: Get rid of them
Chapter 325: Get rid of them
The warehouse was cold and silent, its vast expanse lit by flickering overhead lights that cast harsh shadows across the concrete floor. The smell of dampness and rust hung in the air, but it was the anticipation, the thick tension, that made the atmosphere suffocating. Remo Quinn stood in the center of the room, his hands tucked into the pockets of his tailored suit. His face was a mask of cold indifference, but beneath the surface, a storm raged.
He had spent the last few hours preparing this moment in his mind, knowing that once Margaret and Dominic arrived, there would be no mercy. They had plotted to take away everything he held dear—his wife, his empire, his life. And for that, they would pay.
Tony stood beside him, silent but alert, his eyes fixed on the entrance. They had been waiting for over an hour since Dominic’s confirmation of the meeting. The stage was set. The trap had been laid.
Remo wasn’t the man who panicked or rushed when things went wrong. He calculated. He waited. He let his enemies hang themselves on the noose he carefully crafted. And now, the time had come.
The distant sound of a car approaching cut through the quiet, its engine echoing in the empty space. Remo’s sharp eyes flickered toward the entrance, watching as headlights pierced the darkness.
"They’re here," Tony muttered, his voice low.
Remo’s expression didn’t change. He remained still, waiting as the car door opened and Dominic stepped out, followed closely by Margaret. They moved cautiously, their eyes scanning the warehouse, unaware of the men hidden in the shadows, waiting for the signal. Dominic’s confident swagger faltered when he saw Remo standing there, alone and unmoving. He had expected Marcus, the assassin. Not Remo.
Margaret’s eyes narrowed, suspicion creeping into her expression as she exchanged a glance with Dominic. They approached slowly, wariness in their steps.
"Where’s Marcus?" Dominic asked, his voice cool but tinged with unease.
Remo didn’t move, didn’t blink. His eyes were locked on them, his face a mask of calm, calculated menace. "Dead."
The single word hung in the air like a knife, slicing through the tension. Dominic froze, his face paling slightly, but Margaret remained impassive, her eyes narrowing further as she tried to understand what was happening.
"Dead?" Margaret echoed, her voice steady despite the chill in the air. "How?"
A cold smile curled at the edge of Remo’s lips, his eyes gleaming with something dark, something terrifying. "I killed him."
Silence filled the room, thick and suffocating. Dominic’s confidence shattered as the realization of their situation began to sink in. He took a step back, his eyes darting toward the exit, but Tony was already there, blocking their way, his hand resting on the gun at his side.
"You made a mistake," Remo said, his voice soft but laced with danger. "You thought you could touch what’s mine and walk away. You thought you could hurt Abby, frame me, and take everything." He stepped forward, his presence like a shadow descending over them. "Now, you’re going to pay for that."
Margaret’s eyes flickered with fear for the first time, but she quickly masked it with a sneer. "Do you really think you can kill us and get away with it, Remo? The police will come after you."
Remo laughed, but there was no warmth in the sound. It was a chilling, hollow sound that made Dominic flinch. "You think the police scare me?" His eyes darkened, his voice dropping lower, more dangerous. "You have no idea who I am."
He took another step forward, his gaze locking onto Margaret. "You tried to frame me. You set up Abby to die. You planned this all out, thinking you’d win." He shook his head slowly, a cruel smile playing on his lips. "But you forgot one thing—I’m Remo Quinn. I don’t lose."
With a flick of his hand, two of Remo’s men emerged from the shadows, grabbing Dominic and Margaret, dragging them toward the center of the room. Dominic struggled, but Margaret remained still, her eyes locked on Remo, hatred burning behind them.
"Do you think you scare me?" she spat, her voice sharp. "You might be powerful, but you’re still just a man."
Remo’s smile widened, a dark glint in his eyes. "You’re wrong, Margaret. I’m much more than that."
He walked over to Dominic, who was now kneeling on the cold floor, his face twisted with fear and desperation. Remo crouched down in front of him, his voice low and dangerous. "You thought you could come after my wife? You thought you could set me up?" He reached out, grabbing Dominic’s jaw and forcing him to look into his eyes. "You’ve been living in the shadows for too long, Dominic. But today, I’m dragging you into the light."
Dominic’s breath came in ragged gasps, fear radiating off him in waves. "It was Margaret’s idea," he blurted, his voice trembling. "She planned it all!"
Margaret shot him a look of pure venom, but it was too late. Dominic’s betrayal had already sealed both their fates.
Remo’s expression didn’t change, but his grip on Dominic tightened. "You both had a part in this. And you’ll both pay."
Without another word, Remo stood and signaled Tony. Tony nodded, grabbing a small black bag from the corner of the room. Inside were tools—blunt instruments of pain and suffering. It wasn’t something Remo did often anymore. He had built his empire with precision and intelligence, rarely needing to get his hands dirty these days. But this was personal. Margaret and Dominic hadn’t just attacked him—they had tried to destroy Abby. And for that, there would be no mercy.
The next hour was filled with muffled screams and the sound of flesh meeting metal. Remo watched with cold detachment as his men worked on Dominic, each cry of pain a reminder of what these two had tried to take from him. But Margaret, she didn’t scream. She remained stoic, defiant, her eyes filled with venom even as her body trembled in pain.
When it was over, Remo crouched down beside Margaret, his voice soft but filled with menace. "You could have stayed in your corner. You could have lived your bitter life in peace. But you chose to come after me. You chose to come after Abby."
Margaret’s breath was shallow, her face pale from the pain. She looked up at him, hatred burning in her eyes. "I’ll see you rot, Remo. You can’t kill me without consequences."
Remo smiled darkly, standing to his full height, his presence towering over her. "I don’t need to kill you, Margaret. You’re already dead to me."
He turned, signaling his men to drag them both away. "Make sure they’re never found," he said coldly, his voice cutting through the darkness.
As Tony and the others prepared to dispose of the bodies, Remo stood in the center of the warehouse, the weight of his decision settling over him. His enemies had been dealt with, but the cost had been steep.
He would return to Abby, but he knew things would never be the same again. He had embraced the darkness tonight, let it consume him for the sake of revenge. And though Margaret and Dominic were gone, the shadows would linger.
As he walked out of the warehouse, Remo knew one thing for certain: no one would ever dare come after what was his again.
