The Twisted Obsession-Chapter 295: Bleed for him
Chapter 295: Bleed for him
Abby sat alone in the dimly lit room, swirling the wine in her glass as the clock ticked away the seconds. The quiet was suffocating, pressing down on her like a heavy blanket, amplifying the gnawing anxiety that had taken root in her chest. She had been patient, waiting for Remo to come to her after his confession, but the days had passed with nothing but cold silence. Her grip on the glass tightened, the knuckles of her hand turning white as she tried to calm the storm raging inside her.
It wasn’t supposed to be this way. They were supposed to be together, finally free to live the life she had meticulously planned. She had worked too hard, manipulated too many people, and played too many games to lose him now. But something had changed. Remo had become distant, pulling away from her just when he had promised his love. She knew what had caused this shift—it was that blonde woman, Nicole. Abby’s lips curled into a sneer at the thought. That bitch had somehow gotten inside Remo’s head, filling it with doubts and fears.
Abby brought the glass to her lips, the bitter wine sliding down her throat, leaving a harsh aftertaste that matched the bitterness welling up inside her. Her eyes flicked to the mirror across the room, catching a glimpse of her reflection. She barely recognized herself. Her usually composed expression was fractured, twisted with a mix of desperation and fury. She had worked too hard to lose now. Remo was hers, and she wasn’t about to let anyone take him away.
He’s pulling away from you. You need to do something before it’s too late, the familiar voice whispered in her mind, the words slicing through her like a knife. It was a voice she knew all too well, a dark echo from her past that had never really left her. You have to make him see that he can’t live without you.
Abby’s breath hitched, and she set the wine glass down on the table, her hand trembling. She had always been able to get what she wanted, always able to manipulate people into doing her bidding. But this time felt different. Remo had seen through people before; he wasn’t as easily controlled as others had been. But she couldn’t let that stop her. She wouldn’t let it stop her.
Her mind raced, searching for a way to bring him back to her, to make him need her the way she needed him. How could she make him love her again? The voice in her head offered a simple solution, one she had considered many times before. Hurt yourself. Make him come to you. That’s the only way he’ll see how much you need him. novelbuddy-cσ๓
The suggestion hung in the air, wrapping itself around her like a noose. Abby stared at herself in the mirror, the twisted reflection staring back at her, daring her to do it. Her heart pounded in her chest, the rhythm quickening as she contemplated the idea. It wasn’t the first time she had resorted to such measures, and it wouldn’t be the last. She needed Remo. She had always needed him, and she would do whatever it took to keep him.
Before she could second-guess herself, Abby grabbed the wine glass and hurled it at the mirror. The glass shattered with a sharp, satisfying crash, the shards exploding in every direction. A piece of the broken glass skidded across the floor and landed at her feet. She watched the blood start to trickle down her hand from the small cuts she’d received, feeling a strange sense of calm wash over her.
She picked up one of the larger shards, her fingers curling around it as she stared at the jagged edge. The sharpness of the glass mirrored the sharpness of her thoughts, both dangerous, both capable of inflicting damage. Her heart pounded as she pressed the shard against the skin of her foot, not hard enough to cause real harm, but enough to draw blood. The pain was a reminder, a grounding force that kept her focused on what she needed to do.
With her free hand, she grabbed her phone and dialed Remo’s number. She put the shard down as the line rang, her breath hitching with every second that passed. Finally, she heard his voice on the other end, and she let her own voice break, letting the panic and desperation seep into every word.
"Remo?" she whimpered, her voice trembling. "I—I need you... I stepped on some glass, and I’m bleeding. I didn’t mean to—I just—please come, please..."
The tears flowed easily now, rolling down her cheeks as she sobbed into the phone. Each tear was deliberate, calculated to pull at his heartstrings. Abby knew Remo well enough to know he couldn’t ignore her like this. He had always been her protector, the one who would come running whenever she called.
The silence on the other end of the line was deafening, and for a moment, a flicker of doubt crept into her mind. What if he didn’t come? What if this wasn’t enough? But then she heard him speak, his voice tight with concern. "I’m on my way. Stay where you are. I’ll be there soon."
She hung up the phone, the tears drying almost instantly as she carefully placed the shard back on the floor, adjusting the scene to make it look more convincing. Abby glanced at the shattered mirror, her reflection now fractured into a thousand tiny pieces, each one showing a different fragment of her face.
She tilted her head, studying the fragments with a critical eye. There was no turning back now. She would make him love her again, no matter what it took. As she waited for Remo, Abby allowed herself to slip into the role she had perfected over the years—the fragile, broken woman who needed saving. But beneath that surface, her mind was sharp, calculating every move, every word she would say when he arrived.
Remo was hers. He always had been, and he always would be. And if she had to bleed for him to prove it, then so be it.
