The True Heiress is the Reserved Fiancé's Exclusive Memory-Chapter 658 - 676: Before the Dust Settles (3)
"Dinner party?" Mia Ginger was taken aback.
"I think it’s a great idea." Mina Lee, being a foodie, agreed immediately.
Tong Tong and Windsor Myres both looked at her, clearly waiting to respect her decision.
Mia Ginger was a bit flattered, thought for a moment, then nodded, "Alright, I’ll treat everyone."
"Long live the class monitor!" Mina Lee shouted excitedly.
Mia Ginger was stunned, "We haven’t elected a new class monitor yet?"
"There’s not much going on this semester, Roy Anders seems to be handling things well by himself, and the counselor hasn’t mentioned it." Tong Tong explained.
Mia Ginger nodded thoughtfully, feeling quite cheerful.
After packing up her stuff, she went to the counselor’s office with Windsor Myres.
As the class monitor, she naturally should arrive early.
When they went downstairs, Windsor Myres couldn’t help but tousle her hair, smiling, "Looks real."
"It’s real, of course." Mia Ginger looked at her, sensing something different, squinting her eyes and saying awkwardly, "By the way, why are you dressed so plainly? It’s so unlike you!"
Windsor Myres wasn’t wearing makeup; her wavy hair was cut short, pulled back into a ponytail revealing a smooth forehead.
In early April, she wore a beige bat-sleeve knit top with a black tank underneath, paired with slim jeans, looking very much like a college student, a far cry from her usual glamorous and sexy image.
She blinked and smiled as Mia spoke, "Camden likes me looking like a good housewife."
Mia Ginger: "..."
After a moment, she couldn’t help but laugh, "Camden? You’re trying to make me jealous?"
She knew, once this person started talking, she’d reveal something.
Seeing her laugh, Windsor Myres became serious, speaking softly, "There’s been too much going on lately, no mood to dress up. Besides..."
She sighed, "There’s no Myres Family anymore for me to rely on, I need to plan for myself and focus on my studies, aim to be like Camden River."
"True, as long as you understand." Mia Ginger thought thoughtfully.
"..." Windsor Myres was surprised, "Can you not talk like an old man?"
Mia Ginger chuckled.
Soon, the two reached the counselor’s office.
Mia Ginger raised her hand to knock on the door.
"Come in." Counselor Alexander Miller’s voice came from inside.
Windsor Myres joined the group of early-arriving students, while Mia Ginger pushed the door open to enter the office.
She greeted, "Hello, counselor," then was taken aback.
Alexander Miller was squatting by the cabinet in the corner looking for some files.
She and Roy Anders exchanged glances.
After a moment, she couldn’t help but smile, "What’s with your hair?"
"Oh." Roy Anders touched his shiny head, helplessly explaining, "Just the night before last, I fell asleep and forgot to spit out my chewing gum, it got all stuck in my hair, couldn’t fix it, so I shaved it off."
He was calm, making Mia Ginger breathe a sigh of relief, finding it amusing, couldn’t help but burst into laughter. 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢
Chewing gum, huh.
She thought... it might have been for her.
From the moment school started, Roy Anders had always been quite attentive towards her, which Mia Ginger naturally noticed.
However—
Roy Anders was optimistic and cheerful, always helpful, and quite caring towards everyone, making her frequently feel she was overthinking.
"Quite impressive." Alexander Miller was still searching for files, hearing their conversation without even looking up, "A guy in his twenties falls asleep with chewing gum stuck all over his head, it’s the first time I’m hearing such a thing?"
Roy Anders rolled his eyes at his back.
