The True Heiress is the Reserved Fiancé's Exclusive Memory-Chapter 657 - 675: Before the Dust Settles (2)
"Your hair’s all messy." Mia Ginger quickly raised her hand to cover her hair, pouted at him, and lightly hopped up the steps to grab the handle of her small suitcase again.
"Go on up." Koa Jackson urged her again, unsure of how many times he’d said it already.
Strangely, Mia felt reluctant to leave.
This feeling suddenly became overwhelming. Standing under the plane tree, looking at Koa Jackson a few steps away, she almost wanted to cry.
She nodded and turned around before the tears could well up in her eyes.
With a gentle exhale, she straightened her back and walked towards the entrance of the dormitory building, only looking back after some distance.
Koa Jackson was still standing there. Seeing her turn back, he lifted his hand and waved outward.
Mia waved and smiled, and then she entered the dormitory building.
——
Six o’clock check-in.
Naturally, everyone in the dorm was there.
Having been informed earlier that she would be coming in the afternoon, they all turned to look when they heard the door.
"Long time no see." Mia stood at the door with her suitcase, smiled as she saw all five of them looking at her, and said.
Suddenly, she found that everyone seemed quite adorable.
Reunions after a long separation are always joyful.
"Oh wow, you finally made it!" Windsor Myres was the first to react, rushing over to give her a bear hug, laughing exuberantly.
The others quickly snapped out of it too.
Mina Lee and Blair Chester, both sitting on the far side, smiled and said, "Welcome, welcome."
Wren King and Blair, closer in, dropped their usual weirdness and warmly asked, "How are you feeling?"
Mia, pulled onto a chair by Windsor, grinned, "I’m fine now, just like a normal person, except... hehe..."
Suddenly, she raised her hand and removed the wig from her head.
The room went quiet for a second before exploding into a fit of laughter.
"It’s so short!"
"It’s already long; I thought you’d be bald."
"Honestly, it looks kind of cool!"
"What a tomboy."
"Haha."
"Why not just go to class like that? It’d be so striking!"
"Haha."
After their lively banter, Mia pouted and put the wig back on, grumbling, "No way, I’ll just keep wearing the wig."
"But everyone in class knows you’re bald." Mina Lee’s comment sent everyone into laughter again.
Mia gave each of them a glare before turning around to tidy up.
Only then did she notice—
Her bed, desk, and chairs had all been cleaned spotless.
Mia froze and couldn’t help but glance at Windsor Myres.
"It wasn’t me." Windsor shrugged. "You know me, I always come late; I just got here before you."
Mia’s gaze then drifted to Mina Lee in the distance.
Mina turned with a smile and said, "Blair cleaned for you. I saw her when I came in."
Blair Chester?
Mia was utterly surprised.
Instinctively, she turned her head to look over.
Blair smiled at her with a calm expression and said, "I had nothing to do, and I was worried you’d arrive late, so I tidied up a bit."
"Thank you." Mia sincerely expressed her gratitude for once.
Being cared for always fills one’s heart with warmth.
"No problem." Blair casually put a book back on the shelf and reminded her, "Hurry and tidy up, it’s almost time for roll call."
"Yeah, hurry up," Wren King also urged her and suddenly said, "By the way, since you haven’t been here for so long, why don’t we go for a meal after the roll call? It seems our dorm has never gone out to eat together, while the dorm next door does it every week."
