The System Sent Me to Breed an All-Female Amazon Tribe-Chapter 237: Insects... So Aggravating
D’Lion and Leodog hovered high in the air for a long moment, their forms suspended silently as they seemed to take in the chaotic scene unfolding far below them.
The vast river of grotesque Children stretched across the torn landscape like a living, writhing tide of grey, shifting flesh that refused to stay contained.
Benjamin and the twins had remained positioned at the forest’s entrance, observing everything with careful attention.
..In truth, only Benjamin watched with bated breath, his chest tight with tension as the battle intensified.
The twins, however, pressed themselves snugly under each of his arms, their bodies leaning into him in a way that made focusing on the distant fight noticeably more difficult.
"So... let us begin this properly," D’Lion muttered in a casual tone, his voice carrying just enough edge to cut through the distant clamor.
His yellow predatory eyes remained fixed downward on the endless flow of Children surging across the field like a polluted river.
Without any further warning, a sudden [BLAST!] echoed outward.
What happened was; in the space of a single twinkling moment, dozens upon dozens of red balls, each roughly the size of a fist, materialized from thin air above the horde.
They descended rapidly and began detonating among the Children with relentless force.
The explosions ripped through the grey, bubbling forms, sending wet chunks of shifting flesh scattering in every direction.
Before the creatures could even begin to recover or reform from the initial assault, a fresh wave of golden straight spears appeared in their hundreds, streaking down like divine arrows.
They pierced straight through multiple bodies at once in the blink of an eye, impaling the parasitic titans and pinning some momentarily to the churned earth.
A powerful "Raaaarrrrr!!" tore across the battlefield as Leodog unleashed a deep battle cry.
He dove downward with explosive speed, his body cutting through the air like a living projectile.
Almost immediately, multitudes of the titans reacted, flooding toward his position in a frenzied mass.
They piled onto one another in their eagerness to reach the magic-rich demigod, their amorphous bodies merging and stretching in grotesque attempts to swarm him.
And... BOOM!
The impact when Leodog met the densest cluster was nothing short of catastrophic.
Those unfortunate enough to collide directly with him at the forefront were reduced to little more than smoldering cinders, their forms disintegrating under the overwhelming force.
The ones caught in the middle layers shattered into scattered pieces, grey flesh and dark ichor splattering outward in messy waves.
Those positioned lower in the pile were simply flattened and driven deep into the torn field, their bodies compressed into the soil as if crushed beneath an invisible weight far beyond their own.
Leodog rose slowly from where he had landed on one knee, his posture steady despite the chaos.
He scanned the surrounding area with his sharp red eyes, only to realize that fresh waves of the Children were already closing in rapidly, encircling him from all sides with their relentless, mindless advance.
"Insects... so aggravating," he clicked his tongue in clear irritation and let out a short scoff, the sound laced with pure disdain.
He opened his left palm wide without hesitation.
Five red balls, gleaming like polished crystals, formed instantly in his grasp.
Then, with a deliberate motion, he pointed upward, and the crystals scattered outward like handfuls of thrown grain.
Each one tore through multiple titans in its path before erupting into bursts of intense red fire that consumed everything they touched to extinction.
"Uhm... Is that a type of Elemental Stone?" Benjamin asked, directing his question toward the dark-eyed petite girl who was currently rubbing her cheek affectionately against his side. "I think it is, but why exactly is it producing that particular red fire? Did the fire element do that?"
"Hm?" Tera glanced briefly toward the raging battlefield, her expression already carrying a noticeable weariness, as though the entire conflict had grown tiresome far too quickly. "Those are not Elemental Stones at all. What Leodog is using right now are [Power Stones]."
Tesa also interjected smoothly from Benjamin’s other side, her voice calm and explanatory even as she remained nestled comfortably against him.
She clarified that Power Stones operated on a completely different principle from elemental or attribute-based creations.
Like Elemental Stones, they condensed raw power into a crystallized form, but their purpose was to deliver maximum destructive impact through pure, unfiltered force.
In practical terms, they transformed aura and magic power into something tangible and actively devastating.
"It is extremely difficult to create them," Tesa continued without pause. "Mortals almost never manage to produce even one in their entire lifetime. The process demands an unprecedented level of concentration just to hold the energy stable long enough to shape it properly."
As she spoke, Tesa demonstrated her point by producing a small, gleaming silver stone in the palm of her free hand.
It hovered there briefly, catching the light in a way that highlighted its condensed, potent nature.
Meanwhile, Leodog shifted into a firm battle stance on the field below.
Still roaring out his somewhat comical battle cry, he surged forward with blinding speed.
Anything that so much as brushed against his accelerating form was instantly crushed and reduced to a pulpy paste, as though struck by an enormous, unstoppable object hurtling through space.
The parasitic titans found themselves utterly unable to lay a single meaningful touch on him; their grasping limbs and shifting bodies simply disintegrated or flattened upon contact with him.
When Leodog finally reached his chosen target—the Third Born—he did not slow in the slightest.
"Power Stone Level: 100!" he growled, his voice booming with raw intensity.
His right hand gathered a dense cluster of the red crystals, which rapidly merged and swelled into a single giant red ball.
The massive orb glowed brightly, illuminating the surrounding area with an ominous crimson light that pushed back against the dreary battlefield.
The Third Born attempted to make its move, its grotesque form twisting in preparation, but Leodog acted first.
His hand came crashing downward, driving the giant Power Stone directly into the creature.
The sheer force of the impact drove the Third Born straight into the ground with crushing momentum.
The strike did not stop there—
