The Strongest Body Customization System-Chapter 35: Severe Cause and Effect
Chapter 35 - Severe Cause and Effect
Ian turned his head with interest toward the small package in front of him. "Small," only in comparison to his hand—he could grasp it easily in his palm. The contents inside had cost him every bit of the contribution points that he earned.
"If Captain Barseagle saw this, he would probably be envious. As for Kate..." Ian couldn't help but feel sorry for his old team. He had already arranged things that he could do at his current power to help them.
With his current status as a Honorary Elder, it was easy for him to arrange enough resources for them. But he didn't have the mindset of spoon-feeding them. He wasn't a babysitter. He just made sure that they had utilities that would make their adventures a lot easier. For instance, had their healing potion, blood potion, insect-repellant potion, endurance potion, etc... covered. As for weapons? He even arranged for them to receive higher grades.
Now, it could be considered a parting gift to them. After all, with his ambitions and rocket-speed growth, it was inevitable that they would be unable to keep up. They'll just become his burden in the future for his enemies to exploit. Unless they had a fortuitous encounter that could raise their upper limit beyond that of a Grand Elder.
Ian had the confidence to surpass the level of Grand Elder with his Body Customization System. Why not? His level of existence was still that of a Lesser Vampire, yet he had already possessed the capabilities to battle Elders who had lived for a thousand years. How about him? He wasn't even a hundred years old yet...
As early as he could, he decided to sever the cause and effect with his old team. The bond he had with them. It wasn't as if he felt no reluctance. Without them, he wouldn't have managed to gain a foothold in this world and adapt faster.
'There's no point thinking about this... If they're in danger, it's not as if I could remain unmoved.'
A sigh escaped Ian's mouth. He's not like those old monsters, yet with heart as cold as ice or as solid as rock. It wasn't reasonable for him to be suddenly become a ruthless man in such a short time. After all, he's not in a novel to have such unreasonable character development all of a sudden. He understood that a gradual process, as years pass and the more he experienced the darkness of this world, he would gradually develop a stronger mindset.
For now? In terms of psychological quality or ruthlessness, he was no match for the old monsters of various dark races.
Ian shook his head and picked up the package on the ground. It might be considered small for him. But in reality, it was the size of an average house—large enough to fit six adults comfortably.
"My size is a problem. Fortunately, the Blood Realm doesn't lack hotels that could fit existences that had the same size as me. But as my body grows, it would be harder to find place to accommodate me..."
He felt a headache just thinking about it. Fortunately, he already had plans in mind to solve this problem with his system.
How? That remains to be seen... An imperceptible smirk appeared on Ian's face as he could already imagine the tremendous leap in power that he would obtain once his idea succeeds.
Just like that, Ian eyed the package carefully. The package material gave Ian the feeling of technology. The surface had white luster and the whitish-silver metal gave off a calming aura to anyone who looked at it. Square-shaped, silver-white metallic color, and the cold sensation upon touch.
"How advanced is the technology in the Blood Realm? or even the entire Curtained Imperium??"
A doubt appeared on his mind. He had been battling werewolves in the danger zones with his old team all the time in the past so it was his first encounter with such advance technology. Even his predecessor before his transmigration had no memories of anything this advanced so far.
Ian's eyebrows were raised slightly. "The technology here is confusing. Some cities aren't as advance the ones on Earth yet there are also ones with some touch of modernity and this package..."
"How do I even open this thing?"
Ian turned the package upside down. In a few seconds of careful trial and error, he had failed seven times to open the package.
"Where the fuck is the instruction manual of this thing!?"
In the end, Ian had to call the customer service and it turned out that he just needs to whisper the word "Bloody Hell" three times near it.
"Bloody hell... Bloody hell... Bloody hell..."
Ian didn't complain or did any more non-sense and directly opened his mouth.
Suddenly, the blue light around the package dimmed until it gradually turned blood-red.
"Package received and opened successfully!"
With an intense whirring sound that annoyed Ian, an emotionless rigid voice sounded from the package. Then, the seal on the package gradually parted anticlimatically.
'There's even robotic voice!'
Amidst the complaints he has on his heart, Ian finally saw the contents of the package.
There were seven items. Three giant curse swords, two crimson colored crystals that had dark aura of menace, and lastly, two potions with purple liquid inside.
First, Ian took the two potions that were comparable in size to his pores. "I hope it's as effective as they say."
With no-nonsense, Ian threw the potions on his mouth. Yes, along with the glass. At his currentl level of strenght, he didn't mind the shattered glass at all.
Without hesitation, not even a minute pass, the sound of cracking bones sounded after another. Ian could feel his muscle spasm along. Although a bit dizzy, Ian knew his physical strength was currently growing!
The two purple potions contained a rare virus known as Trupeyo Parabus, originating from the dark race Zedena. It modified genes related to muscle growth and bone density, drastically boosting testosterone and growth hormone levels beyond racial limits...
Unfortunately, this virus also make one susceptible to genetic collapse if taken more than three times! No one dared to take this potion more than twice in their lifetime. Well, if they could afford it in the first place and if they could even access it. Only the upper echelons of various dark races had the privilege to do so and Ian, being an Honorary Elder hda given him this opportunity!
