When Vacuse woke the next day, he woke with a refreshed mind. His red eyes glowed like blood gem and his hair like mass of darkness floated around him.

He was washed and dressed before the first knock from the servant came, asking what he might need assistance with for his morning.

But he was already done with everything.

When he came down, and on his way down, he heard lots of groaning and cursing as the hunters reaped the consequences of their wild nights.

"Why are you looking so refreshed, My Lord?" Captain Amros asked, his face filled with wariness and a large circle lay under his eyes.

Vacuse snorted. "Because I did not drink anything yesterday like some people?"

Amros gave him a disapproving look but it was the truth. While the others were drinking, he just held his glasses up each time anyone approached to cheer them on.

He did not like to drink because it would muddle his head.

The alcohol that Magus and Soulbearers drink is much stronger than that of ordinary people. In fact, it was so potent that a single drop would cause alcohol poisoning for ordinary people.

"You should let loose sometimes. Maybe we can guard you to put your mind at ease while you drink?" Captain Amros suggested.

Once they were out of the main building, Vacuse realized that the effect of the last night party was more than he expected. The compound was silent and even the training area was still. "You went hard at it yesterday I see."

"You did give us the go ahead. It would be a shame not to utilize it," Captain Amros said.

"And what about Harkon? I am surprised he is not here yet and he is not the drinking type."

Amros grimaced. "Some of them guys might have forced him to drink yesterday. Last I know, he went to his room with some ladies."

Vacuse blinked several times and shook his head just to confirm that Amros was speaking the truth. "That is....the same Harkon? That would have been a sight to see. Well, I want to see what this boss monster is all about."

"Do you not want to wait? Even a little? The others really want to see you off."

Vacuse shook his head. "It is far better this way. I will be in and out quick before anyone knows."

Amros looked at him silently for a while. "Sometimes, I really do not understand you, My Lord."

Vacuse smiled and shook his head. "Come. Let us go."

The portal was waiting for them silently and rippling. This early in the morning there were not lots of people around and the workers of Representative Drayth were so shocked to see Vacuse that they stood still and confused for some time before they picked up and tried to stall him while they called for the Representative.

But Vacuse could not be stopped and he strolled toward the portal without a backward glance at the sudden flurry of activities.

"I bid you best of luck, Lord Vacuse. But knowing you, things are either going to go very simple or horribly wrong," Captain Amros said and bowed.

Vacuse shook his head and with a nod at his Captain, he entered into the Dark Wilderness.

And found himself in the dissolute building just like the first time, but things were different around him. He stood in stunned silence as he looked around. "What exactly happened here?"

The room was in shambles, the wall and surroundings were totally destroyed and even some scorched marks were left behind. Only the portal seemed to survive, standing in the middle of the room and rippling softly.

"Not bad, so the monsters finally reached here after it chased us the other time."

From his position, he could see easily into the Dark Wilderness. He walked towards the edge of the destroyed building which also marked the end of the clearing.

"I do not understand this mind stalk ape boss. It must have known we were attacking the others but only showed up at the end? Does it want us to totally destroy its subordinates?"

The bastard monster only showed up at the end as they were making away with its subordinate bodies.

Vacuse sighed as he looked at the Dark Wilderness. "Now, where the fuck am I supposed to go from here? Last time I had experts that could track and towards the end the mind stalk apes directly led us over.

"Do not tell me I have to wander the forest blind and just hope to run into the monster?"

"I guess I have to draw him out."

Vacuse was speaking so loudly to himself because frankly, it was far different to be alone in the Dark Wilderness. Especially when it seemed the Wilderness was tilting towards him.

'.. Rith, you want to come out here and keep me company?...'

But his Dragon only grumbled and refused to say anything else. Typical.

Vacuse sighed. "Alright then."

He raised his hand and a red beam shot out from his ring, quickly turning into the stone dragon construct that spread its wings and let out a terrifying roar. Its wings stirred gusts of wind.

Vacuse leaped onto the construct's back and summoned Sivan, instantly connecting the two. Dark fire alight and rippled through the whole stone dragon, swallowing it whole until it appeared as if it was made from fire itself.

The surrounding air grew heated and each swing of the dragon construct wings turned the surrounding trees to ashes as they burned.

Vacuse smiled.

He patted the construct on the back and then sent it a mental command. They instantly shot straight into the sky like a dark dagger cleaving the sky.

The reason why Vacuse was so daring as to take into the air like that in a Dark Wilderness where terrifying monsters abound was because he had discovered an anomaly.

Just like the last time the team was there, the surrounding forest was simply too still and silent. This made him conclude that the mind stalk ape boss was still waiting around.

And if it turned out to be another terrifying monster.....

.....it was the reason he did not go far from the portal.
