The Soft-Hearted Wife of Mr. Big Shot-Chapter 258: Good Morning, My Princess
"We can have one soon."
Holly Sawyer bit her chopsticks and slowly spoke.
A child can be wanted right away.
When you truly fall in love with someone, you’re willing to have a child for him, and you think about having a child with him.
Someone once said, before meeting the right person, you always set rules and limits for yourself, but once you meet the right person, those rules become useless.
Some people don’t want to get married, but once they meet the right person, they rush into marriage.
Some say they like handsome ones, tall ones, gentle ones, cool ones, ones with abs, and so on...
But when you truly like someone, these conditions don’t matter at all.
Maybe he’s not tall, maybe he’s not handsome, maybe he’s not gentle, maybe he doesn’t meet any of your standards, but you still like him.
The so-called standards are meant for others, they’re ineffective on you.
Once, Holly also thought she wouldn’t get married or have a child in her lifetime.
But after meeting Leo Grant, she felt everything else was just fleeting clouds.
Love him, want to nurture a child that belongs to both of them.
"No rush, you’re still young, we’re both young."
Leo gently rubbed Holly’s head, speaking with a warm tone.
Yes, there’s no hurry about this, just take it slowly.
They walked out of the barbecue restaurant and strolled along the street, feeling particularly relaxed.
Such leisurely times are really rare, Holly thoroughly enjoyed this ease.
"Brother, I’m suddenly dreaming about our life in old age."
While walking, Holly suddenly looked at Leo and said, a smile playing on her lips.
She envied those elderly couples who still held hands and walked together, and she hoped that she and Leo could be like that someday.
She didn’t envy couples passionately kissing on the street, she only envied those elderly holding hands on a stroll.
That kind of love is the most beautiful.
"Uh-huh, what makes you say that?"
Leo’s eyes showed a hint of confusion.
It’s quite good now too, no arguing or fighting, life’s just right.
"Because when we’re old, there won’t be so many worries, and we can do whatever we want."
Holly said, her expression serious.
Being young, there’s always so much that binds you, you can’t be too carefree.
Though she’s usually laid-back, rarely working, often lazy, she still has things to do and handle.
Not to mention, The Pantheon still needs her management, wanting to step down so young wouldn’t be agreed to.
"True."
Leo replied.
Although there are many things he does freely, work is abundant too, he can’t just let such a large company operate unchecked.
The company’s biggest decision-making power rests with him, with so many people up and down the company, he has to be responsible, working well is the best responsibility to the company and employees.
"Brother, let’s have a baby, okay?"
"When he grows up, we can be free, and nurture him from a young age."
"We can travel around the world, go to many fun places."
Holly slightly curved her lips, slowly speaking, hope gleaming in her eyes.
Future child: "..."
Alright, so I’m just a tool, I’m unnecessary. I’m born so they can sooner enjoy a world for two.
"Okay, whatever you say."
Leo nodded.
The night grew deeper, the two headed home.
"Brother, I’m going to take a shower first."
As soon as Holly got home, she went to shower, still carrying the smell of barbecue, which wasn’t pleasant.
Leo went to his room to take a shower too.
"Your hair isn’t dry, what if you catch a cold?"
After showering, Leo went to Holly’s room, seeing her in pajamas with wet hair, he chastised her.
He instinctively grabbed a hairdryer to blow her hair dry.
"Isn’t it because I knew you’d help dry it for me?"
Holly blinked slightly, speaking earnestly.
She knew Leo would help her, so she did everything fearlessly.
If she caught a cold, Leo would definitely take good care of her, so she wasn’t afraid of getting sick, not at all.
Leo: "Silly girl."
Once her hair was dry, Leo put the hairdryer down, moving his face close to Holly’s.
Holly was holding a phone, seemingly chatting with someone, her fingers nimbly typing on the keyboard.
Leo asked, "What are you chatting about?"
"Chatting with Clara."
Holly replied succinctly.
"Why not chat with me?"
Leo’s Adam’s apple bobbed as he gazed at Holly with heated eyes.
"In a bit."
Holly didn’t even raise her eyes, answering Leo, clearly not catching on to his underlying meaning.
"But, I can’t wait."
Leo looked at Holly intently, suddenly kissing her red lips.
His right hand cradled the back of Holly’s head, gradually deepening the kiss.
Caught off guard, Holly let her phone slip from her hand, toppling onto the bed as Leo leaned over her.
Holly’s mind blanked for a moment, she was stunned, and then immediately realized.
"I can’t wait, have held back for so long..."
Leo’s large hands started to move unconsciously, her pajamas quickly getting half undone.
Seeing the young girl daily tormented him inwardly, yet he feared hurting her.
The room turned amorous, Holly made a soft protest.
"Brother..."
Holly’s voice was sweet and soft, unexpectedly pleasant to Leo’s ears, almost like an invitation.
"Don’t call me brother, we have a marriage license, call me husband."
Leo coaxed Holly.
"Brother..."
She couldn’t seem to say it, used to calling him brother, any other term felt odd.
"I want to hear it..."
"Hus...band..."
"Very nice, say it again."
"Husband..."
The room descended into an amorous atmosphere, the air full of intimacy.
——
The next day, the sun high up, the two slept deeply in each other’s arms, the curtains drawn, the room dimly lit.
Leo was actually awake, just hadn’t opened his eyes, his beloved not moving, he didn’t want to move either.
He slightly opened his eyes to gaze at Holly’s sleeping face, lips curved with a joyful smile.
Thinking of how every morning from now on, he could wake up to the girl in his arms, Leo felt truly good.
Thinking that Holly was completely his now, Leo felt even more joyful.
Holly stirred, slowly opening her eyes, suddenly meeting Leo’s smiling gaze, and she momentarily froze.
"Good morning, my princess."
