Chapter 349: Sharing Information

Morning came as if in the blink of an eye.

The bedroom windows were open. On the bed, Amon slept calmly, without any worry in the world. Soon, his eyelids twitched. He was sleeping sideways.

Slowly, his eyes fluttered open.

What came into view was a blurry image. He blinked a few times, trying to clear his vision. Then he blinked again.

’What the hell?’

No words came out of his mouth after seeing what lay beside him. Very close to him.

Crimson hair was spread across the space beside him. Just a few centimeters away from him was her breathtakingly beautiful face. Her red-colored eyelashes. Her delicate nose. Those rosy, cherry-like lips. A few strands of hair were framing her face partially.

Amon exhaled softly.

She was asleep beside him, facing his side. Her chest rose and fell steadily, her hands lightly gathered near herself, squeezing those mounds with her hands.

Amon kept staring at her in a daze.

With a faint smile, he muttered, "This is the best morning I ever had..."

"Hmm..."

His voice might have caused Scarlett to wake up. Her eyelids slowly opened.

The amethyst-colored eyes met a pair of black ones.

She blinked for a while. Then she noticed how close she was to Amon. Their faces were really close.

With a gentle tone, Amon said, "Good morning."

Scarlett immediately sat upright. "Yeah... morning." She turned to the other side, her legs touching the wooden floor as she sat at the edge of the bed.

She calmed herself for a while.

Amon just observed her.

She then yawned while stretching her arms upward. Her back arched slightly, making her chest look more prominent.

Amon couldn’t help but smile like an idiot.

This is really the best morning!

Noticing his deep stare, Scarlett stopped stretching. With a composed voice, she said, "Get up... go visit the healer. Then meet me near Roland’s house."

She let out a small sigh.

Amon sighed and sat upright. Only then did he notice that this was not his room.

She brought me to her house?

Then he noticed the soft kind of mattress beneath him. It clicked in his mind. He smiled, knowing she had been worried and brought him here for proper rest and sleep.

With a light grin, he said, "Alright. I will be going then. See you soon."

Amon got up from the bed. His back was still hurting. Some of his ribs might be broken.

"Ahh! This pain," he muttered.

From behind him, Scarlett said in a steady voice, "Careful."

"I will be," he replied.

Soon, Amon left her house.

---

Amon stepped out of one of the wooden buildings.

He stretched his arms up.

"I feel a lot better now," he said, glancing at the man standing behind him.

The man smiled warmly. "Glad to hear that. But you should train more cautiously next time. Don’t get this hurt again."

He was the healer of the village, a man in his mid-thirties. He was an elf, so he looked much younger than his age. Elves were really in low numbers here.

His name was Silvan.

Amon turned to him with gratitude. "Thank you, Silvan. I’ll be more careful next time."

Silvan nodded calmly. "See that you are."

With a respectful nod, Amon left and began walking toward Roland’s house.

From a distance, he saw Scarlett waiting for him.

She was wearing a simple tunic and black trousers. Her crimson hair was tied loosely behind her back.

With a cheerful tone, Amon greeted her, "Good morning again."

Scarlett looked at him carefully. "Are you okay now?"

With a confident smile, Amon replied, "Yeah. Better than ever."

Scarlett nodded slightly.

Then both of them walked toward Roland’s house.

They reached the door and knocked.

After a few seconds, Roland opened it.

He looked surprised to see them standing there together.

With a curious expression, he asked, "Is there something you two want to talk about?"

Amon and Scarlett looked at each other briefly. Then they turned their gaze back to Roland.

With serious expressions, they said, "We need to talk about something important."

Seeing their faces, Roland’s expression also became serious.

He stepped aside and said, "Come in."

After that, they moved to the living room—the same place where Amon had come for the first time, sitting at the table while talking to Roland and Kael.

Both Amon and Scarlett took a seat side by side.

Just then, Kael also came in.

"Oh, you two?" He studied Amon and Scarlett. He had seen them yesterday. Now they were here with serious faces. Something was not right.

Roland had taken a seat across from them at the table. Kael took the chair beside Roland.

With narrowed eyes, Roland asked, "So what did you want to talk about?"

Amon glanced at Scarlett. "You talk."

She nodded and started to tell them.

She told them how they were exploring the forest. She avoided all the sweet moments that she and Amon had shared. Then she told them about the tower—how it looked and how it vanished. Amon also joined her from time to time to explain from his side.

After hearing everything, there was silence.

"That’s... really hard to believe," Kael finally said, breaking the silence.

Then he continued, his expression turning grim, "But again... anything is possible in this place." 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦

Meanwhile, Roland remained silent. He was thinking about something.

After a long pause, he spoke slowly, "Actually... I believe you."

Everyone looked at Roland.

Then he said seriously, "I... I also have seen that kind of tower. It was just for a second. It was there... then in one blink, it disappeared. At first, I thought it was a hallucination."

Amon narrowed his eyes. "On which side? I mean, in which direction from this village did you venture into the forest?"

Roland replied, "Hmm... it was on the west side."

Scarlett added, "We were on the south side."

’Meanwhile, when I first saw it... it was on the north side... so the fourth should be around the east,’ Amon thought while listening to them.

Roland folded his hands on the table, his face turning heavy. "We can’t understand anything about that... at least not for now. But we will investigate it further. It might be connected to a path that will lead us outside this loop. From now on, I, Kael, and some others will look into this more keenly."

Kael nodded, his tone no longer casual. "Yes. This is not a coincidence. First you saw it, then Roland, and now these two. Something is really going on."

The room felt heavier.

Amon’s expression turned serious.

’I need to talk with Vetaal once I get back home.’

Roland looked at both of them firmly. "Until we understand this, do not speak of it openly. If this is connected to the loop... then it might also be connected to something far more dangerous."

Silence settled over the room again. This time, it was not disbelief. It was tension.
