The Seven Sisters and Their Hidden King-Chapter 229: The Gene Experiment
Chapter 229 - 229: The Gene Experiment
The genetically modified martial artist turned to flee in a panic.
But escape was impossible.
Linen moved like a ghost and blocked his path, dispatching him with ease.
John's expression darkened.
The fact that a Texan martial artist had successfully reached the Venerable Realm through genetic modification meant that the experiment was advancing—becoming more mature.
This was bad news for the United States.
He walked toward a massive metal gate leading to the underground lab. Standing before it, he paused—then gathered his vital energy and threw a punch.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The gate remained unmoved.
Below, in the underground lab, fear rippled through the researchers and personnel.
Dr. Anderson tried to steady himself.
"Calm down," he muttered. "This underground lab is fortified with an ultra-durable alloy. It can withstand direct cannon fire. There's no way the King of Horizon can break in."
Another series of thunderous blows echoed through the facility—but still, no breach.
Dr. Anderson exhaled slowly, relief washing over him.
Linen turned to John. "Your Highness, shall we call the Texas army to open the gate?"
"No." John sneered. "I want to see just how tough this door really is."
If he couldn't break it, he didn't deserve anyone's respect.
He rolled up his sleeves, took a few steps back, and summoned his strength.
His Nameless Divine Skill activated at full power, vital energy roaring through his body like a storm. Even the arteries beneath his skin seemed to awaken.
This would be John's strongest attack yet.
BOOM!
As his fists struck the gate, two blazing beams of light exploded from his palms and crashed into the alloy.
The entire lab shook violently.
Bang!
The supposedly indestructible gate began to fracture—spiderweb cracks spread rapidly across the surface.
It shattered.
The alloy gate was destroyed.
Inside, Dr. Anderson screamed in shock.
"What the fuck?!"
The gate was built to withstand artillery—but it was broken by a man's fists.
By the fists of the Oracle King.
Panic overwhelmed him. "Please! Please forgive me!"
When John entered the room, Dr. Anderson had already fallen to his knees, trembling violently.
The rest of the researchers—those involved in the genetic experiments—were equally terrified, frozen in place.
John stepped forward, raised his foot, and kicked Dr. Anderson in the stomach, sending him sprawling.
"Speak Chinese!" he barked.
Anderson blinked, confused—he didn't understand.

A trembling researcher nearby stepped forward, exchanged a few words with him, and translated.
Anderson stammered, "N-No, no, no..."
He clearly couldn't speak Chinese.
Linen stepped up. "Your Highness, allow me to interpret."
John nodded. "Ask him who ordered the genetic experiments. And how many subjects they've used."
Linen, fluent in both English and the local Texan dialect, questioned him quickly.
After a short exchange, Linen turned back. "He says he knows nothing. He's just following orders."
"Knows nothing?"
John's eyes narrowed.
Without hesitation, he reached out and snapped Dr. Anderson's neck with one hand.
Plop!
The lifeless body collapsed.
The researcher who had translated screamed and dropped to his knees, bowing low.
"Your Highness, I-I can speak Chinese! Please don't kill me!"
John gave him a cold, penetrating stare.
Even through the mask, his gaze was like a blade.
The researcher nearly passed out from fear.
John said nothing.
"Let's go," he ordered.
He and Linen turned and left the lab.
Behind them, the researchers collapsed, drenched in sweat, overwhelmed by the feeling of having barely survived a nightmare.
Outside.
Helicopters from Texas circled above.
The Texan military had been aware of the situation from the moment Oracle martial artists crossed the border to rescue Kate.
But they dared not interfere.
They had underestimated the Oracle's power.
And now, the Oracle King himself had arrived.
Rumor had it that even a nuclear bomb wouldn't kill him.
Worse still...
The Oracle King could break into any forbidden facility in any country with ease.
If offended, no one in the world could stand against him.
That was what Texas feared most.
The Oracle King was invincible.
John and Linen emerged from the lab as the helicopters landed.
John looked up at the soldiers and delivered a cold warning:
"Tell your leaders this—His Highness says that if you dare stir up trouble again, the Oracle will personally visit your capital cities. Behave yourselves."
He was right.
The senior leadership of Texas had known about the gene experiments all along.
They had no intention of stopping it.
And if he hadn't intervened, they would've feigned ignorance—claiming they were just as surprised as everyone else. That Dr. Anderson had deceived them.
But John had already seen through their lies.
