_____

A/N: Warning!

This Chapter turn to be a little long because of and extra scene.

If you’re not above the age of 15 like the MC...

No, that was wrong. The age restriction is different.

Ah yes, if you are Not above the age of 17, then Skip the last part at the very end when you are reading.

Don’t regret it. Okay?

Eren’s face twitched slightly, and he let out a long, exasperated groan.

’Only Five minutes... really?’

In a resigned huff, he summoned his gaming console from the system’s storage space. With a flash of magical light, the small device appeared in his hands. Marie’s eyes widened in surprise as she watched the strange object materialize seemingly out of nowhere.

She tilted her head and asked, clearly curious, "Young Master... What is that?"

Eren didn’t even look up as he lazily replied, "It’s a magic artifact... for wasting time. Don’t ask."

Marie blinked again but didn’t press the issue. She watched with faint interest as he powered the device on. It began to emit colorful flashes and curious electronic sounds as Eren tapped buttons with practiced ease, his focus now fully absorbed in the game.

Moments later, the voice of his system, echoed in his mind.

[Master, I would advise against using that console openly around others. It may not be wise to let people see you using it in public.]

Eren raised an eyebrow at the warning.

’Why not? What’s the problem?’ he asked mentally.

The system replied calmly, but with a hint of concern.

[Because what you’re holding can be classified as an S-Rank magical artifact, based on its core parameters. Under the current laws of the Alliance, possession of such artifacts is highly restricted—and technically illegal.]

Eren froze, pausing his game mid-battle as his eyes widened in disbelief.

’Wait, what do you mean it’s illegal? It’s just a game’

Sensing its master’s irritation and alarm, Useless quickly elaborated.

[W-Well, allow me to explain! After the Divine War, the Alliance enacted a set of strict artifact regulations. One of the most critical rules is the Artifact Regulation Pact, which mandates that all artifacts of S-Rank and above—no matter how harmless they appear—are subject to restrictions.]

[Your gaming Console may appear to be a harmless entertainment device, but by all magical classifications, it is considered: A sentient-linked relic,]

Because it can connect to the many different game world.

[Capable of casting illusions or generating full-dive alternate realities,]

Basically, it can create moving animations you can control.

[Able to store vast data or spatial items beyond normal means,]

The Data game storage.

[And Constructed from unknown materials and technology.]

Because the console is made from Modern science, mix with fantasy magic.

Eren’s crimson eyes slowly dulled, shifting into a stoic, deadpan gaze as he stared into the void, processing what he’d just heard. The system’s voice continued attempting to elaborate on the matter, but he quickly interrupted.

[To the Alliance, this suggests the artifact could–]

’Skip.’

With a long, irritated sigh, Eren pinched the bridge of his nose, visibly annoyed. After a few seconds of silent contemplation, he exhaled slowly and sat upright with a newfound focus.

He then open up the System’s shop interface and navigated through the digital menus of the shop tab with his eyes, he didn’t need to use his hands to type. Just use your mind.

His red eyes scanned the options quickly, searching for something very specific. It didn’t take long for him to find exactly what he was looking for. Once he found what he needed, he purchased the things without hesitation and immediately activated it.

"This should do the trick," he muttered under his breath.

Closing the interface, Eren turned his attention to the maid sitting across from him. Marie, ever polite and composed, looked at him with subtle curiosity, noticing his sudden change in demeanor.

"...?"

Without speaking further, Eren reached into the folds of his dark coat and pulled out what appeared to be a strange, black-covered book. He held it up with one hand, letting her get a good look at it.

"Marie," he said coolly, his voice calm but laced with curiosity. "Can you tell me what this is?"

As he asked the question, his red eyes faintly glowed with a hue of violet light—just for a second, a mere flicker, barely noticeable.

Marie blinked, confused by the odd question, and slowly leaned forward to examine the object. The book he was holding was plain and worn-looking, pitch black with no ornate decorations. At first glance, it seemed like an old journal or notebook.

"A... a book?" she answered cautiously, her brow furrowing slightly.

But then her eyes narrowed as she noticed something unusual—there was writing on the cover, but it was written in a language she couldn’t recognize. The inscription was bold and strange, using foreign letters she’d never learned or seen before.

In reality, the words were printed in clean, modern English:

Death Note.

Marie tilted her head slightly, puzzled.

Eren smirked upon seeing her reaction, his expression filled with quiet amusement. "I see," he replied with a nod.

He opened the book casually and began flipping through the pages as if it were the most ordinary thing in the world. Marie remained dumbfounded, unsure whether to ask more questions or simply pretend not to have seen anything.

In truth, the object Eren was holding wasn’t a real book at all—it was his gaming console, now disguised under an advanced illusion spell he had just purchased from the Shop for 2,600 system points. The illusion made it appear like a completely mundane black book to anyone else around him, masking its true nature even under magical detection.

Useless, watching this unfold silently in his headspace, had a blank, tired expression.

2,600 System points... wasted on aesthetic camouflage.

The AI sentience let out a long mental sigh.

Meanwhile, Eren was once again immersed in the pixelated world of Valoria Legends. As he navigated through the game’s menu, he noticed something strange in the character selection screen. The usual number of playable characters had increased.

"Huh?" he muttered, scrolling down.

There were now 101 characters listed.

A small "NEW" banner flashed beside a freshly added portrait near the bottom of the screen.

Curious, Eren clicked on it. A detailed 3D character model appeared, slowly rotating with dramatic lighting.

The man on screen had a rugged, battle-worn appearance—scarred across his left eye, which was partially clouded. His hair was short and brown, slightly unkempt but neat enough to reflect his disciplined nature. His facial features were sharp, with a pronounced jawline and a hardened expression that spoke of countless battles fought. He wore heavy, silver-plated knight armor with a red crest over his chest, symbolizing his knightly allegiance. A longsword hung at his side, and a large kite shield was strapped to his back. His stance was firm, upright, and imposing—radiating the air of a seasoned warrior.

The name displayed under the model:

[Bolder]

Eren stared at the screen blankly.

’Who the hell is this loser?’ he thought with a raised brow, not recognizing the man at all.

He squinted closer at the face on screen, trying to recall where he’d seen this guy before. But no memory surfaced.

He shrugged.

’Must’ve been a side character.’

And with that, he selected a different character and dove back into the game, completely dismissing the new addition.

In a Different place–

The moonlight spilled across Celestia Academy’s grounds, silent and silver. The girl’s dorm stood quiet, its halls long asleep—except for one room, where a faint light flickered.

A soft knock broke the stillness.

–Tap-tap.

A young girl opened the door with a quiet gasp.

Standing there was the white-haired boy, his deep blue eyes catching the glow of her room’s enchantment lamp. His breath was steady, but his gaze wavered—drawn to her.

She wore a loose, pale nightgown, soft lace brushing her knees. Her long blond hair flowed like golden silk, and her gentle, noble face looked even more angelic in the dim light. Her bright yellow eyes shimmered with surprise—and something else.

"...You came," she whispered, voice soft as feathers.

"I couldn’t sleep," he replied, his voice low. "Not without talking to you."

She stepped aside to let him in, the door clicking shut behind him, sealing the warmth inside. The room smelled faintly of flowers.

He stood close now—close enough to hear the small hitch in her breath.

"I thought about what you said this morning... and I—"

She reached out and gently placed a finger to his lips, her other hand resting on his chest.

"Don’t talk," she whispered, cheeks tinged with pink.

"Just stay."

He nodded, flustered, and slowly leaned in. She tilted her head up, eyes meeting his. Their faces hovered, just a breath apart—too close to be innocent.

His fingers brushed her cheek, tucking a strand of her golden hair behind her ear before slipping to her waist.

She didn’t move away.

Their breaths mingled, shallow and warm.

Her fingers clutched the fabric of his shirt as his arms wrapped around her.

The air thickened.

Her heart pounded in her chest. Her yellow eyes fluttered closed as she rested her head against his chest, whispering,

"Don’t leave me alone this time..."

He held her tighter, murmuring with a soft smile, "I won’t."

The scene shifted—now on the bed.

Moonlight filtered in, casting a soft glow along the edges of the ornate sheets where they sat side by side, tension drawing them closer.

She glanced up at him, her eyes shimmering with emotion she couldn’t voice.

He swallowed, trying to steady himself.

"Are... are you sure about this?"

She nodded slowly, her cheeks glowing warm.

"I’ve waited so long for this..."

Their hands reached out, fingers intertwining with a tremble. Slowly, she lay back against the bed, a hint of embarrassment in her smile, but also joy.

He leaned over her, gazing down, unsure if he should close the distance.

She warped her arms around his neck, pulling him closer.

Their lips hovered, inches apart—the air between them heavy with anticipation.

She whispered,

"Just... be gentle."

"....."

And then, just as their lips were about to meet—

[Do you want to skip the cutscene?]

[Yes / No]

Click.

The screen then turned Black.

====

[NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!]

Useless, the floating green screen system, let out an ear-piercing digital scream as he watched the scene vanish before its eyes.

As Eren was playing, he had just stumbled across a hidden Easter Egg scene in Valoria Legends—an extremely rare R17+ romantic moment between the protagonist and one of the heroines. The kind of scene that only activated under very specific conditions...

But just as the scene was about to reach the climax, Eren SKIPPED IT!

[Why Did You Skipped It!]

Useless screamed, practically glitching in outrage.

"Excuse me?"

Eren raised a brow, staring at the floating green holographic screen, his expression unreadable.

Realizing it had gone too far, Useless backpedaled.

[Ahem! W-what I meant was... Master, why did you skip the scene? It was... a very important scene for the future plot! Yes!]

"..."

Eren’s crimson eyes narrowed as he looked at the system, his voice dull and dry.

"Because it was boring" He murmured in lazy as he resumed playing without a care.

Useless then fell into silence.

And then, it went into "Mute Mode", so not to let it’s Master hear it

[WHY!]

[WHY, WHY, WHY, WHY, WHY, WHY, WHYYYY!!]

[YOU SON OF ^#&@%^ EVIL MASTER!]

[If you were going to skip it, then Why did you wait until they were about to reach the Climax?!]

[AAAAAAAGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!]
