The Royal Mark-Chapter 417: Mirror

Elsa and Chris decided to hold their wedding in Santa Fe, Elsa’s hometown since Ambros’ property is huge and was perfect for such an occasion.

Ambros rented caravans for their guests to stay at since they wouldn’t fit in his average-sized country home.

He also insisted on sponsoring all expenses for the wedding as a gift to Elsa and Chris, telling them that it would be his ultimate happiness if they allowed him to. It was the only way for him to forgive himself for not being by Elsa’s side while growing up and not being at their first wedding.

As a result, the couple allowed him to do whatever he wanted so they could also focus on their children and their work.

He hired a wedding planner and other professionals to handle the said occasion and granted everything that Elsa and Chris wanted for their day.

The couple requested a garden wedding with a rustic theme to commemorate their time in Zemaria and Arcanis. They set the date of their wedding three months after Chris’ proposal.

The couple and their children together with Marina and Elandir arrived at Ambros’ house Friday night, the wedding will be held Sunday that same weekend.

The next day, the group woke up early due to the noises of the suppliers arriving with their trucks and staff. At the same time, the scent of coffee and grilled meat from the back porch wafted through the whole house and backyard.

Elsa and Chris went straight outside to see what was going on.

"Barbecue at breakfast? Really, Dad?" Elsa asked Ambros with sleepy eyes.

"Yes, dear. It will motivate these people to work hard today, it will give them the energy that they need for the day," he reasoned.

"I agree with him," Chris said before getting a piece of meat on the table and eating it. "If I am one of the crew, I will surely get motivated by this," he added before giving Yakobo some meat as well.

"I think I’ll just have some coffee. I might not fit in my dress tomorrow if I eat that today." Elsa was about to grab herself a cup but Roxanne quickly handed her one.

"Here, madam, I already made one for you," Roxanne said.

"Thank you. Roxanne, let me remind you that I didn’t bring you three here to work. My father already hired people for this event. You are my guest today and you three only need to help my kids get dressed tomorrow. Enjoy your day today," Elsa pointed out.

Roxanne smiled and uttered, "I know madam, but we like to help, it’s a joyous occasion and you treat us like family so we are happy to help Dr. Arden prepare this for you."

"Fine, just don’t overwork yourself and rest more."

Elsa and Chris quietly watch the wedding planner instruct the suppliers where to place everything from the flowers, chairs, tables, and other decorations needed for the wedding ceremony and reception while they sip their cup of coffee.

"There you are!" the couple heard Elandir’s voice coming out of the house’s back door. "I was knocking at your room and no one was answering. I thought you were still sleeping," he added.

"We couldn’t sleep any longer with all the noises. Do you want some coffee?" Elsa offered.

"I will drink some later but I was looking for you so I could give you my gift."

"That’s too early, Elandir. Are you sure you want us to see it now?" Elsa asked, even though she was curious and excited to see it.

"Yes, since I already informed them of your wedding."

"Them?"

"Let’s go, so you can see." Elandir turned to Ambros who was beside the wedding planner watching the crew decorate the backyard. "Ambros! Join us, I am sure you don’t want to miss it."

The four of them went to the room where Elandir was staying and immediately saw the lifesize box beside the bed.

"Go ahead and you both can open it," he said to Elsa and Chris.

The bride and groom wasted no time in opening their first wrapped gift and unwrapped it gently.

"Wow, this is one classy vintage mirror! Thank you, Elandir. I love it, the design reminds me of Qiryn," Elsa said.

Elandir picked up the full-sized mirror and placed it near the window where there was sunlight coming in and took a bottle of water.

"It’s not an ordinary mirror, though," he opened the bottle and added, "This water is from one of the Moonwells and this mirror came from Qiryn, it’s thank you gift from my mother for Ambros, for healing her, letting her to bear more children. I brought when I crossed the portal but I was waiting for the right time to give it to you."

"If it’s a gift for my father, then why did you give it to us?" Elsa asked.

"He did give it to me before, but I refused it because I have no use for it. So I told him to give it to you instead," Ambros explained.

Elsa was frowning and couldn’t comprehend why would his father decline such a beautiful piece of decor that was more suitable for his country home than her contemporary house in the city.

Seeing the frown on her face, Elandir faced Ambros and said, "You should be the one to tell her why you don’t need it."

Ambros nodded, "This mirror will enable you to see whoever is on the other end. The other mirror is in Qiryn, specifically in Hera’s home. Ydril gifted it to her. So it means, you get a chance to see your mother." 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

Elsa covered her mouth in astonishment and her eyes welled up.

However, Elandir revealed more. "But, you can only use it two ways. You can use it with the water from the Moonwell and this is all I was able to bring since I bought a lot of gold and gemstones with me when I crossed the portal. But don’t worry since you can also use it without the water during the full moon."

Elsa swiftly ran and hugged Elandir tightly, surprising him. "Thank you so much, Elandir! I don’t know how to thank you enough. This means the world to me!"

Elandir patted her back and whispered, "How about you thank me by helping me with Marina instead?"

Elsa laughed as she released him from her embrace. "Granted!"

Elandir grinned, totally satisfied with the exchange. "So, should we try this now? We can use the water today since tomorrow is a full moon, they could still watch your wedding without using any water."

"Let’s do that, but let me get the children first so they can meet Grandma!" Elsa uttered before excitedly walking out of the room.
