The Royal Mark-Chapter 311: Obliterate Your Kind
It was a long night, and Chris didn’t sleep at all. He and his Elite Alphas together with Elsa’s mages spend the night planning and strategizing on how to attack Kurzen.
After Lexi educated Elsa on what are the rules in Arcanis about the war proclamation, they both joined the meeting in Chris’ old room.
The room got silent after Elsa entered and stared at every one of them except for Chris. "How sure are you that my aunt and son were taken by the demon king and not the witches?" she asked.
"We got reports from the citizens that there were sightings of demons near the castle that night. Also, Queen Yejin, the new Queen of Saldivar already sent a message confirming that they are not involved.
She also sent another letter just a few moments ago, offering their support and all we have to do is ask. They are willing to ally with Arcanis as part of their kingdom’s reformation," Drake said.
"How about Vrenada? What is their stand on this?" Elsa questioned with a stern voice.
This time it was Chris who answered her, "I plan to go there personally tomorrow. Vrenada is a strategic point for us and I must ensure Stefan’s cooperation on this. However, like Arcanis, they have a council that would decide, that’s why I need to go there personally to convince them."
Elsa stayed quiet for a while, thinking, before she laid the map that she got from Lexi. She had already drawn her plan of attack on the map and showed it to everyone. "If they will agree, then I want to lead the attack to King Mordrak’s castle, from the east with a few mages. The rest of you will attack coming from Arcanis’ border like what they would be expecting."
Drake and Hoven massaged their temples feeling stressed just imagining Elsa’s plan. The eastern part of Kurzen is where the tallest volcano in Vectus is located. It was said that inside it was the portal to the underworld where the devil itself lives.
That place is the most guarded place in Kurzen since it is where they hold their demonic rituals and offerings. Not only it was the most guarded, but also it had a difficult terrain to navigate for other races, especially humans.
Chris stared at Elsa, for she was boldly letting him know how enraged she was and that he had no option but to say yes or he would receive her wrath.
Chris sighed with closed eyes before saying, "Alright. We will talk about it again once I return. I have to talk to them first. I must get at least their approval to enter their land and attack from there if they will decline to ally with us."
"And why would they decline? Isn’t Stefan your friend and he wants to be part of our family so he must do everything to help us. Rocco will be his nephew in the future so this time is perfect for him to show his support. Plus, he had already shown their support before so hesitate now?" Elsa pointed out with an irritated tone.
"I know that, but helping Arcanis to defend itself is different from helping Arcanis to attack another kingdom, regardless of the reason. Their council will always check how will they benefit from it. But I promise to do my best to convince them," Chris explained. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎
Elsa rolled her eyes and replied, "You better convince them because I will not wait for a ’No’ answer. I will only accept ’Yes’ as an answer!"
Elsa then turned around ready to walk out of the room when a servant came rushing in. Everyone noticed the purple and silver scroll that he was holding, the scroll that King Mordrak used whenever he sent out messages to other kingdoms.
Everyone’s heart raced, waiting for the servant to reveal the news.
"Your Majesties, this just came in," the servant handed the scroll to Chris and immediately threw it away after he read the content.
The scroll flew to the wall and bounced back to the center of the room. Hoven picked it up and read it aloud for everyone to hear.
"Prince Rocco of Arcanis, Princess Milda of Zemaria, and Seraphim Nathaniel are under my care. They are being treated as my precious guests and the Queen of Arcanis is welcome to stay to take care of the little prince until my wedding with Princess Milda is completed.
I want the full cooperation of Zemaria regarding my marriage with their beloved princess and I want the werewolves out of Arcanis if they want their prince back. I am only taking back what was mine. As you all know, Arcanis and Vrenada were once part of our Kingdom, until my father gave them the freedom to rule over where they live.
My father is long gone and I am taking back what he has given. Do not worry about Vrenada, a talk between us is already in place. I will be generous and will give you two months to move out of my land before I obliterate your kind.
As for the Seraphim, offer me something in exchange for his life, something that would benefit me and I will set him free... Alive and in one piece.
~King Mordrak Baelzor"
Hoven crumpled the scroll and cursed loudly, "FUCK!" He threw the scroll on the floor and stumped on it over and over. He, too, is now enraged. He would not allow Milda to get married to that demon king even if he and the princess were not in an exclusive relationship, he would protect her no matter what.
Tears came flowing from Elsa’s eyes. She was overwhelmed with all the emotions that she was feeling and also because Chris had blocked her from their bond.
She knows how hard his situation is right now. He has to choose over his people and their son.
Elsa ran out of the room, and before she could even reach the hallway where their room was located, another servant chased after her.
"My Queen! Please wait, this just came in for you."
Elsa turned to the servant and saw her holding the same colored scroll that Chris received a while ago. Her heart raced when she saw to whom it was addressed to.
"To My Queen, Elsa Morgan... Future Queen Elsa Baelzor of Kurzen Kingdom..."
