The Rising Phoenix-Chapter 960: Selling Storage Rune To Jia Xiaobo
"That’s because I am not living in the Pharmacist Division. I am currently residing in the Inscriber Division." Bai Xifeng stated calmly.
"Eh? Why is that?" Jia Xiaobo asked, her confusion only growing deeper.
"Because I am also an Inscriber." Bai Xifeng said simply.
"Oh... that explains why you know the person who made the storage rune! Are you perhaps his disciple?" Jia Xiaobo asked excitedly, thinking she had finally solved the puzzle that had been bothering her.
"No... I am not. I have simply known him for a while, since I am originally from the Capital City of the Liuyin Empire." Bai Xifeng stated, maintaining her cover flawlessly without a hint of hesitation.
"I see." Jia Xiaobo replied, though she still looked thoroughly impressed by her companion’s connections.
While they were talking, they finally arrived at Teacher Qian’s office. Jia Xiaobo stepped forward and knocked politely on the heavy wooden door.
"Come in." A clear, authoritative voice from inside the room answered the knock.
Jia Xiaobo opened the door and stepped inside.
"Teacher Qian." Jia Xiaobo greeted the elder respectfully, bowing her head.
"Oh... it is you, Student Jia. What brings you here to see me?" Teacher Qian asked, looking up from the mountain of paperwork on her desk.
"Teacher Qian, it is actually not me who wants to see you, but this girl here." Jia Xiaobo said, pointing her finger toward Bai Xifeng.
Teacher Qian’s sharp gaze immediately shifted to the girl standing beside Jia Xiaobo.
"Who are you, and why do you wish to see me?" Teacher Qian asked again, her eyes narrowing slightly as she carefully observed the newcomer.
"Teacher Qian, Teacher Gong told me to come and see you if he was not available. I am Bai Xifeng. I have several elixirs that I wish to exchange for points." Bai Xifeng stated her name and purpose clearly.
"Bai Xifeng... you are that fifteen-year-old Immortal Rank Pharmacist!" Teacher Qian suddenly exclaimed, her eyes widening in shock and recognition.
Jia Xiaobo, who heard the words "fifteen-year-old Immortal Rank Pharmacist", turned to Bai Xifeng in absolute disbelief. Her jaw nearly dropped to the floor.
"Bai Xifeng... really? Are you truly her?" Jia Xiaobo asked, seeking immediate confirmation.
"Well... yeah. It’s me." Bai Xifeng admitted, offering a small, modest shrug.
"I see... You are indeed amazing." Teacher Qian smiled while nodding in approval. "You mentioned wanting to exchange points, right? Let me check the elixirs first."
Bai Xifeng carefully took out the elixirs that she had just concocted yesterday and placed the vials neatly on Teacher Qian’s table.
Teacher Qian adopted a serious expression, but that professional mask immediately cracked the moment she opened the first vial. The rich and potent aroma of medicinal herbs rushed out from the small container and quickly spread, filling the entire room.
"This... This... It’s a High Rank Elixir," Teacher Qian exclaimed in shock. She then turned her gaze back toward Bai Xifeng. "I heard from Teacher Gong and Headmaster Feng that you could concoct High Rank Elixirs, but I initially thought it was merely a rare coincidence. As it turns out, your results are incredibly consistent."
Jia Xiaobo looked at the elixirs and then back at Bai Xifeng with pure admiration in her eyes. The highest-rank elixir that she herself could concoct was only a Medium Rank Elixir, and even then, she could not do so consistently.
Teacher Qian checked every single elixir with meticulous care and great attention to detail. After confirming the rank and the total quantity, she began to fill out the official form for Bai Xifeng to take to the exchange point centre. Once she had finished writing everything down, she handed the form over to Bai Xifeng.
"Alright. You can take this to the exchange point centre whenever you are ready." Teacher Qian stated calmly.
"Thank you, Teacher Qian." Bai Xifeng thanked the elder and bowed her head slightly as a gesture of gratitude.
Bai Xifeng and Jia Xiaobo then left Teacher Qian’s room together and stepped back out into the hallway.
"Since I am already finished with my work here, let’s settle your part of the deal." Bai Xifeng said.
"Great," Jia Xiaobo replied, nodding eagerly.
Both of them walked over to a nearby empty gazebo. Bai Xifeng took out the storage rune and handed it over to Jia Xiaobo.
"The size is exactly what you requested." Bai Xifeng stated.
Jia Xiaobo took the storage rune and stared at the intricate patterns engraved on the item with fascination.
Then, she looked up at Bai Xifeng and said, "Teach me how to use it."
"Yes, of course." Bai Xifeng replied with a nod.
She began to explain the specific process that Jia Xiaobo needed to follow in order to activate and bind the storage rune. Jia Xiaobo followed along attentively, nodding as she absorbed the explanation step by step.
"Ah... It is indeed working!" Jia Xiaobo exclaimed happily as she practised putting her personal belongings into the storage rune and pulling them back out again.
"Time does not flow normally inside the storage rune. So, when you collect herbs, they will remain in the same fresh state as when you first put them in." Bai Xifeng explained.
"Yeah... That is the primary reason why I wanted to buy this item." Jia Xiaobo said with a satisfied grin.
She then pulled out a pouch to pay Bai Xifeng for the storage rune.
Jia Xiaobo handed over the payment to Bai Xifeng for the storage rune.
"10,000 gold coins. Please count them, seeing if it is enough or not." Jia Xiaobo said.
Bai Xifeng began to carefully count and calculate the coins. After confirming that the amount was exactly correct, Bai Xifeng smiled faintly.
