Chapter 166: Chapter 163: Tangxia Village No. 133!

"Grandfather Ye!"

Wen Yuanjie was startled by Ye Jizu’s sudden, alarmed shout. He felt as if he had been plunged from ice into fire, his heart suddenly racing.

"Here’s what’s happening," he said urgently. "The Qin Family’s Second Young Master, Qin Jun, claims he was attacked by thugs at 133 Tangxia Village and demanded I bring men over immediately! I had someone check, and the owner of 133 Tangxia Village is Qin Chu, Qin Fan’s father!"

As he recounted the details, Wen Yuanjie was no longer tense. Instead, his facial muscles began to twitch with excitement. For Ye Jizu to call out to him with such alarm, he knew his gamble had paid off.

"Tell him to go eat shit!" Ye Jizu roared.

Attacked at Qin Fan’s home? It would be stranger if he *wasn’t* attacked! Who in all of Jiangzhou doesn’t know about the relationship between Qin Fan’s family and the main Qin Family? When Qin Jun shows up on their doorstep, is he expecting a warm welcome? As for who was responsible, I don’t even need to think. It must be Master Qin asserting his dominance again!

Hearing Ye Jizu’s crude language, Wen Yuanjie shivered and replied bitterly, "But Grandfather Ye, you know the Qin Family’s status in Jiangzhou. If I don’t take men over there, I’ll be crushed so completely there won’t be a trace of me left!"

"You should be thankful you didn’t go. I guarantee your career would be over! As for being afraid of the Qin Family? Hmph, starting tomorrow, all of Jiangzhou and the entire Lingnan region will know that you have me, Ye Jizu, backing you! I’d like to see if the Qin Family has the guts to touch my people!" Ye Jizu declared, his tone full of a bandit-like swagger that was completely at odds with the Ye Family’s dignified reputation.

He’d bet correctly! Damn right he had!

Overcome with joy, Wen Yuanjie nearly pumped his fist in the air. "Grandfather Ye, I understand what to do now!" he said quickly. "I won’t disturb your rest any further!"

Following his words, Ye Jizu said nothing more and hung up. The next moment, however, his finger was already swiping rapidly through his contacts, tapping on a number from his rarely-called list.

"Grandfather Ye, what’s happened?" In a residential unit of the provincial department compound, a middle-aged man was startled awake by the ringing. When he saw the caller’s nickname, he was instantly wide awake, all sleepiness gone as he spoke with anxious tension.

"133 Tangxia Village. Remember this address," Ye Jizu said, getting straight to the point. "Make the arrangements. No matter what happens or who asks you, no police are to be dispatched there!" 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

"An address in Tangxia Village? Grandfather Ye, what is this about?" the middle-aged man, who was in charge of the entire Lingnan public security system, asked in alarm.

"You don’t need to know. Just remember this: I, Ye Jizu, do not want to see a single officer at that address. Understood?" Ye Jizu commanded, leaving no room for argument.

"Yes, Grandfather Ye. Rest assured!" the middle-aged man replied, seeing he had no other choice.

As Ye Jizu hung up, the man furrowed his brows tightly.

133 Tangxia Village! Whose place is that?

Pondering, he picked up his phone and began making inquiries.

No one could have imagined that in the dead of night, an address in a humble urban village would raise such sensitive alarms. From the city bureau to the provincial department, countless people were suddenly wide awake, all eyes focused on the background of 133 Tangxia Village.

Qin Chu, Wei Shuying, Qin Fan. These three names had officially entered the field of vision of Jiangzhou’s top brass. Yet, what no one could possibly piece together was that the counterattack from that once-abandoned, cowardly piece of trash officially began!

「Inside 133 Tangxia Village, the epicenter of the storm.」

After hanging up, Qin Jun glared venomously at Qin Fan’s family of three. Then, he strode over to Zhou Yun, bent down, and placed his hands on her, intending to help her up.

"Did I say you could move?" Qin Fan drawled with a wicked smile, his voice cutting through the tense, trembling silence of his parents.

Qin Jun paused for a fraction of a second, squinting his eyes without replying. He bent his arms, preparing to pull Zhou Yun to her feet.

"Did I give you permission to help her up?" Qin Fan still didn’t move to stop him, but his tone was much colder than before.

"I say you’re going to die. You’re going to die a miserable death. Do you believe me?" Qin Jun spoke with an ominous chill, his domineering aura, honed over decades, on full display. His hands, however, did not stop moving as he began to slowly lift the severely injured Zhou Yun.

"If I were afraid of death, would I have crippled Qin Shuai? Haha! Second Uncle, you’re overthinking things!" Qin Fan laughed arrogantly.

Then, without any warning, his right leg shot high into the air. With heaven-defying flexibility, his leg formed a perfectly straight line and smashed down onto Qin Jun’s back.

This sudden, violent attack stunned Qin Chu and Wei Shuying. Before they could even cry out for him to stop, a dull BOOM resounded from Qin Jun’s back.

BANG!

Zhou Yun, who had been lifted halfway, collapsed to her knees again with a pained shriek. The heavy blow slammed Qin Jun’s entire body face-first onto the ground.

The sight nearly sent Qin Chu and Wei Shuying into a mental breakdown from sheer terror.

"Qin Fan, have you... have you thought about the consequences of this? Mom is begging you, please! Stop this! Just stop, okay? Please!" Tears of panic and desperation streamed down Wei Shuying’s face as her legs began to tremble and give way.

"Things have already come to this. What’s the point of talking about stopping? I crippled Qin Shuai’s leg, Zhou Yun has ended up like this, and now Qin Jun is in this state. Do you think the Qin Family will just let it go? Since it’s already a mess, we might as well make it a bigger one! It’s one slice of the blade whether you stick your neck out or hide. Why should we live so miserably? Right, Dad?" Qin Fan said, turning to Qin Chu with a grin, seemingly unconcerned.

"You scoundrel! How can you be so reckless!" Qin Chu, a man who had always been mild-mannered and hadn’t even dared to make a peep when the Qin Family cast him out, lost control of his emotions in his panic. "He... Qin Jun has already called for backup! You might be a good fighter, but can you fight the entire Qin Family’s influence? Huh?!"

For the couple, their only thought was how to escape this disastrous place and get out of the Qin Family’s sight. It didn’t matter if they suffered, but they were terrified that their only son would fall into the Qin Family’s hands! Crippling Qin Shuai, humiliating Zhou Yun, and now injuring Qin Jun—if they were caught by the Qin Family, their fate would be worse than death.

"Let’s go! Forget everything, just leave! Let’s get out of Jiangzhou, leave Lingnan!" Qin Chu stammered frantically, his teeth chattering. He then reached out to grab Qin Fan’s hand, intending to bolt.

But at that very instant, the phone in Qin Fan’s pocket suddenly vibrated.

At that same moment, the hour hand on the living room clock pointed precisely to four in the morning.

Qin Chu and Wei Shuying froze in shock. A call at four a.m.? Qin Fan, however, merely let a playful smirk form on his lips.
