The Revenge of the Reborn Supreme Sovereign-Chapter 165 - 162: Did I Get You Up?
BUZZ—!
Listening to Qin Jun’s hysterical roar, the heads of Qin Chu and Wei Shuying went completely blank.
Did Little Fan really cripple Qin Shuai’s leg? How could that be possible? But as soon as this thought of impossibility emerged, the couple was immediately pulled back to reality. If it wasn’t true, why would Qin Jun and Zhou Yun show up at their door, given their personalities? Furthermore, the combat power Qin Fan had just displayed proved that crippling Qin Shuai was well within his capabilities.
Thinking of this, the couple couldn’t stop their hearts from pounding wildly, overwhelmed by panic, shock, and fear.
Crippling Qin Shuai, humiliating Zhou Yun—what does that even mean? It means declaring all-out war on the Qin family! He’s insane! Little Fan must be insane! Does he really think his fighting skills are enough to stand against the entire Qin family?
"Little Fan, are you out of your mind? You’re bringing disaster upon yourself!" Wei Shuying clung tightly to Qin Fan’s arm, her voice filled with terror. "Do you have any idea how terrifying the Qin family is? They’ve been suppressing our family at every turn, and now you’re forcing them to become even more depraved!"
The Qin family was a great mountain, and their machinations had nearly suffocated the couple countless times. Qin Fan’s actions were undoubtedly forcing the family from covert suppression to overt retaliation. Can our family of three really withstand it?
Qin Chu didn’t dare to imagine it, and Wei Shuying dared even less. At this moment, a single phrase echoed in their minds: throwing an egg against a rock.
"Dad, Mom, if I dared to do this, it’s because I have the confidence to back it up. I’m not just some reckless hothead," Qin Fan said softly, a faint smirk on his face. He wasn’t the least bit worried. "So, don’t be nervous and don’t be afraid. I know my limits. It’s time to settle the accounts with the Qin family, with every single one of them!"
Just as Qin Chu was about to speak, Qin Fan’s brow furrowed. He lifted his foot and kicked Zhou Yun’s supporting leg as she tried to push herself up.
"Did I say you could get up? Kneel before my mother!"
As he spoke, he swiftly swept out another kick amidst Zhou Yun’s agonizing screams. With precise control over his strength and direction, Zhou Yun’s kneeling body pivoted on the ground to face Wei Shuying directly.
"Qin Jun, you’re not human! You’re an animal!" A heart-wrenching shriek tore from Zhou Yun’s throat. In her despair, she had redirected all her hatred toward Qin Jun. At this point, she had no time to hate Qin Fan’s family; all her fury was aimed at the man who just stood there watching her suffer.
Trembling, Qin Chu’s mouth was dry with panic. The sudden turn of events had nearly made his heart leap from his throat. He stammered, "Little Fan, I know you hate the Qin family, I know you hate them, but they aren’t as simple as you think!"
Not simple? That might be true for anyone else. But for me, the reincarnated Shura Venerable? What a joke! I just want to slowly torment the Qin family’s descendants. Otherwise, what would stop me from slaughtering every last one of them?
In the face of his parents’ fear, Qin Fan only offered a playful, silent chuckle. Meanwhile, Qin Jun, seemingly deaf to Zhou Yun’s cries, took out his phone. The call connected instantly.
"This is Qin Jun! Bring men to 133 Tangxia Village! Immediately!" Qin Jun’s voice was chillingly grim.
"Mr. Qin, Tangxia Village?" On the other end of the line, Wen Yuanjie sat bolt upright in bed, his eyes wide with shock.
Lead a team to the urban village in the middle of the night? If it weren’t for the phone number, a symbol of immense prestige, I would never have believed the call was from Qin Jun of the Qin family.
"Yes, right now! My wife is being attacked by a violent criminal!" With that, Qin Jun hung up.
In his apartment in the city bureau’s residential complex, Wen Yuanjie was wide awake. As a man in a high position, he knew exactly what the name ’Qin Jun’ represented. This was the second young master of the Qin family, a clan whose status in all of Lingnan was second only to the Ye Family.
Attacked by thugs in an urban village? Damn it, what on earth happened?
He scrambled out of bed and dialed the city bureau’s records office. "This is Wen Yuanjie," he said urgently, not even waiting for a response. "Quickly, check the owner of 133 Tangxia Village! Now!"
"Yes, sir!" the person on the other end responded nervously.
A flurry of keyboard clatter followed. A few seconds later, the voice came back, "Chief, I found it! The owner is Qin Chu!"
Wen Yuanjie’s brow furrowed. Qin Chu? Isn’t that Qin Fan’s father?
He paused in the middle of getting dressed and sank back onto his bed. His mind flashed back to the last time Qin Fan was at the bureau. It was during He Zhenjiang’s downfall, and he had personally gone to release Qin Fan from the interrogation room. Through discreet inquiries later, he learned that Ye Jizu himself had orchestrated He Zhenjiang’s demise. From that day on, he had added Qin Fan’s name to his list of sensitive individuals. Climbing from an ordinary local cop to his current high position would have been impossible without sharp insight. Based on that same, unerring intuition, he had mentally linked Qin Fan’s name to Ye Jizu’s ever since. Now, Qin Jun was sending him to 133 Tangxia Village, clearly targeting Qin Chu’s family—or more specifically, Qin Fan. Damn it. How am I supposed to make this choice?
Time ticked by, each second stretching on as Wen Yuanjie’s brow tightened into knots.
Suddenly, he let out a heavy breath, picked up his phone, and dialed Ye Jizu’s number.
「Ye Family Manor」
Ye Jizu, deep in sleep, was startled awake by the abrupt ringtone. He answered groggily, "Hello?"
"Lord Ye, it’s Wen Yuanjie! I need to tell you something. Qin Jun of the Qin family is at Qin Chu’s house in Tangxia Village. He’s in some kind of trouble and has called me for help!" Wen Yuanjie’s palms were sweating as he spoke.
If my intuition is wrong about this, I can’t imagine what’s in store for me. If I bet wrong and Qin Jun finds out about this call, my career will be ruined. But if I’m right... I might finally have a chance to enter Lord Ye’s inner circle. Wen Yuanjie, known as a capable officer from the younger generation, was undeniably staking his entire future on this bet.
"Why are you calling me if Qin Jun asked you to arrest someone? Are you sick?" Ye Jizu grumbled, on the verge of cursing after being roused from a pleasant dream.
On the other end of the line, Wen Yuanjie felt as if a bucket of ice water had been dumped over him in the dead of winter. He froze instantly, a cold sweat drenching his back.
Did I bet wrong?
Just as Wen Yuanjie’s face went deathly pale, Ye Jizu, who had been about to hang up, suddenly jolted. His voice shot up as he exclaimed, "Wait. Who did you say Qin Jun wants you to arrest?"
