The Revenge of the Reborn Supreme Sovereign-Chapter 153 - 150: Slapping Someone at the Slightest Disagreement!
"Little Shuai, is there any point in saying this?" Qin Chu asked, looking at Qin Shuai with a complex expression.
"Little Shuai? Are you qualified to call me that?" Qin Shuai scoffed, shooting him a contemptuous and arrogant sneer.
"Let’s go, Fan!" Wei Shuying said grimly, shooting Qin Chu a harsh glare. She didn’t want to get dragged into this. With that, she grabbed Qin Fan’s hand and started toward Fushan Residence.
Speak of the devil. She had anticipated this trip to Fushan Residence wouldn’t go smoothly, but she never expected trouble to arrive so quickly and so suddenly. And the first to show up was someone from the Qin family’s third generation! As the son of Qin Jun, the second master of the Qin family, Qin Shuai had inherited his father’s insidious and scheming nature. Before Qin Chu’s family was kicked out, they had suffered Qin Shuai’s caustic remarks more times than they could count. To think he still wouldn’t let them go even after they’d left the Qin family!
"Go? Go where? A place like Fushan Residence isn’t for people like you! If you know what’s good for you, scram!" Qin Shuai frowned and shouted coldly as Wei Shuying made a move to leave.
"Qin Shuai, that’s enough!!!" Even the usually mild-mannered Qin Chu couldn’t hold back his anger any longer.
"Enough? Not by a long shot! The whole of Jiangzhou knows your worthless family was kicked out by the Qin family. But unfortunately, you and your worthless son still carry the Qin surname. Go and change it. After you do, I won’t even bother with you!" Qin Shuai shook his head, his tone dripping with cold mockery.
"Oh, really? And you think carrying the Qin name is some kind of honor for Qin Chu and Qin Fan?" Wei Shuying retorted sarcastically, halting in her tracks.
"For us, the surname Qin *is* an honor! As for what you think, I don’t know and don’t want to know. The only thing I know is that by carrying the Qin name, you are insulting this glorious surname!" Qin Shuai jabbed a finger downward, his voice filled with utter contempt. He then shook his head and continued, "So, scram. Disappear from my sight and remember your place. You should be taking your worthless son to an amusement park to ride the merry-go-round, not showing up here at Fushan Residence and disgracing the Qin name! Understand, ’uncle’? ’Auntie’? Haha!"
With a haughty shake of his head, he flicked the collar of his shirt. Then, giving a dismissive wave and a disdainful snort, he turned to head inside.
Just then, a voice tinged with angry sarcasm rang out from behind him. "Well, well, the Qin family certainly is impressive! First, you look down on Fushan Residence’s class, then you start setting entry requirements for the place. Tsk, tsk, how mighty!"
SWOOSH! 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖
Hearing that voice, Qin Shuai’s brows tightened, and he gulped.
To speak like that, knowing who I am... this person clearly doesn’t take me seriously at all!
He spun around reflexively.
The moment he saw Ma Yunbin, his heart seized with panic. He began to explain, flustered, "Young Master Ma! No, no, that’s not what I meant! Everyone in Jiangzhou knows Fushan Residence’s status among the clubs here is unrivaled, absolutely number one! I... I just misspoke. I was just trying to get this family, the one kicked out by the Qins, to back off. You know, to stop people from saying that any Tom, Dick, or Harry can just walk into Fushan Residence. Young Master Ma, I was only thinking of Fushan Residence’s reputation!"
Ma Yunbin, or Young Master Ma, was a highly influential figure among Jiangzhou’s younger generation. In terms of power, Ma Yunbin, who came from Beijing, hadn’t established any real base of his own. If you had to name something, it would be the restaurant at Qi Middle School and this private club. Yet this man held an undeniable position in Jiangzhou’s upper circles. Didn’t even the great Ye Jizu have to address him affectionately as Yunbin? Didn’t even Ye Haoyuan, Jiangzhou’s top young playboy, have to bow his head before him? He, Qin Shuai, was someone who didn’t even dare to act arrogantly in front of Ye Haoyuan. In front of Ma Yunbin, he was truly a nobody.
"For Fushan Residence’s reputation? Who the hell do you think you are? Since when is it your place to dictate how Fushan Residence treats its guests?"
Ma Yunbin responded with a cold sneer. Then, as the sycophantic smile on Qin Shuai’s face froze, Ma Yunbin raised his hand and swung.
SLAP!
The crisp sound of the slap echoed loudly.
Qin Chu was dumbfounded.
Wei Shuying was stunned.
The young men trailing Qin Shuai were completely baffled!
A slap over a simple disagreement? What’s gotten into Young Master Ma? Was it really worth getting this worked up over something so trivial?
Of course, those were the thoughts of Qin Shuai’s lackeys. To Wei Shuying, that slap was incredibly satisfying and perfectly timed!
Only Qin Fan remained unfazed, a meaningful smile slowly spreading across his face.
A minute ago, the moment Ma Yunbin appeared, Qin Fan had given him a subtle shake of the head. Ma Yunbin had understood immediately. He reined in the excitement he wanted to show. But this Qin Shuai, who was mocking and insulting Qin Fan’s family—could he possibly tolerate that? Could he? Forget Qin Shuai; even if Qin Shuai’s father were here, Ma Yunbin would have slapped him all the same!
"Young Master Ma, it’s a misunderstanding! I didn’t mean that, I really didn’t!" Qin Shuai explained frantically, clutching his burning, painful cheek while enduring the humiliation of Qin Fan’s family looking on with glee.
"If you didn’t mean that, then what did you mean?"
Ma Yunbin sneered. He paused, then his hand struck out again, slapping the other side of Qin Shuai’s face.
"A place that even Ye Jizu can’t find fault with has become a ’low-class’ establishment in the eyes of your Qin family? Hah! Very well. You think it’s beneath you, is that it? Fine. From this moment on, no members of the Qin family, and no dogs, are allowed to set foot in Fushan Residence! Now, get out!" Ma Yunbin stopped slapping him and, turning the hand he had been pointing at Qin Shuai, aimed his finger toward the exit.
"Young Master Ma, calm down! Please, calm down!"
"Young Master Ma, Young Master Qin didn’t mean it that way! You’ve misunderstood!"
"Young Master Ma, he surely just misspoke. Please don’t take it to heart. Calm down, please!"
Seeing Ma Yunbin’s unyielding stance, the group of rich kids with Qin Shuai had to bite the bullet and speak up.
If they spoke up, they might get dragged into it. But if they stayed silent, they would definitely have to face Qin Shuai’s wrath later.
"Do you lot even have the right to speak to me?" Ma Yunbin said mockingly, stuffing a hand in his pocket and shooting the posse a sidelong glance.
"Young Master Ma, it was my mistake. I misspoke, I admit it," Qin Shuai pleaded, starting to panic. "Young Master Ma, you’re a bigger man than me. Please don’t hold this against me. Just give me one more chance, alright?"
He was truly panicking now. If things really escalated to the point Ma Yunbin described, there would be hell to pay when he returned to the Qin family! He couldn’t even begin to imagine the punishment he’d face. He had calculated every possibility, but he never dreamed that Ma Yunbin would overhear every single word he said. This fall from grace was utterly miserable and humiliating. Most importantly, this pathetic side of him was on full display for Qin Fan’s family to see. That was what he found most unbearable! But no matter how unbearable it was, confront Ma Yunbin head-on? He didn’t have the resources, let alone the guts. Not a single shred.
