The Revenge of the Reborn Supreme Sovereign-Chapter 147 - 144: Debt Collection!
"Speak!"
Qin Fan’s steps halted. His back was to the two men living in a state worse than death as he spoke, his voice devoid of emotion.
"Zhou Yihang! It was Mr. Zhou Yihang! Give us a quick death! Quick! AHHH!" the two men screamed in unison, their bloody fingers still clawing relentlessly at their grotesque bodies.
Zhou Yihang? So that ungrateful wretch was really involved in this?
At that moment, the murderous intent radiating from Qin Fan peaked. Without turning back, he gathered True Qi in his hand and struck out behind him with a palm-edge strike that cut through the air.
As his hand fell, a sound arose!
The two men in white let out a simultaneous, muffled groan. They felt as if a train had slammed into their chests, and then blood sprayed violently from their mouths. With smiles of relief spreading across their faces, they slowly closed their eyes, finally granted a quick death.
"My dear Uncle Zhou, it seems you’re eager to end your own life. Heh heh..." A chilling smile emerged on Qin Fan’s cold face as he murmured ominously.
With his hands in his pockets and his back to the two thoroughly dead men, he walked out of the alley at an unhurried pace.
Getting into his Bentley, he started the engine and sped furiously toward Zhou Yihang’s villa.
In the vast, luxurious villa estate, many valuable items had already been sold off cheaply by Zhou Yihang to cover his debts. This villa estate was his only remaining asset, but even it seemed to be on a countdown to changing owners.
In the empty hall, Qin Fan sat on the sofa with his legs crossed, picking up an apple from the coffee table and munching on it.
"S-Sir... w-what are you doing here?" one of the two nannies responsible for watching Zhou Xueman asked, her face etched with fear.
"I’m waiting for Mr. Zhou," Qin Fan said with a harmless smile. "And where is Miss Zhou? Why don’t you let her out?"
Hearing that Qin Fan was waiting for Zhou Yihang, the two nannies relaxed slightly. Given his young age, their initial tension subsided. They exchanged a look, and one said, "To be honest, we don’t dare let her out! We’re afraid she’d tear the whole villa down! If it weren’t for the salary of several thousand a month, who would be willing to put up with this? We’re not just nannies; we’re nurses in a psychiatric ward! Sigh!"
"Let her out," Qin Fan said softly with a nod. "Then the two of you can leave. After today, Mr. Zhou will definitely have no more wages for you. Feel free to take anything valuable from this villa on your way out."
"What? No salary after today? How can that be!" one of them exclaimed. "Young man, who are you, really?"
Hearing the undeniable seriousness in Qin Fan’s tone, the two nannies panicked.
"A debt collector," Qin Fan replied with a careless smile.
A debt collector? They’ve come all the way to the house? Does that mean Zhou Yihang is really bankrupt with nothing left?
Although they had heard the rumors, they had ignored them as long as this mansion was still standing. But now, hearing what Qin Fan said—and seeing that he had arrived in a luxury car that must have cost millions—the two nannies could no longer contain their panic. They depended on this money to support their families. If they worked for half a month for nothing, they’d have nothing to eat!
"Young man, you... you’re not tricking us, are you? And can we really take things from here? What if Mr. Zhou calls the police and says we’re thieves? What do we do then!" one of the nannies asked, her voice tight with anxiety.
"Don’t worry, it’ll be fine. This is what you’re owed. If it’s really a problem, he can deduct it from the debt he owes me. Hurry up, grab your things, and go. Oh, right. Before you leave, let Miss Zhou out. I’d like to catch up with her. We’re old acquaintances," Qin Fan said patiently.
"Okay, okay! Thank you, young man! Thank you!"
The two simple, honest nannies didn’t overthink it. They already wanted to quit this job, and now, spurred on by Qin Fan, they couldn’t stay put any longer. With a quick bow, they hurried upstairs.
After quickly packing some clothes, they returned to Qin Fan’s side. "Sir, we only took what we’re owed, nothing more. Please be sure to tell Mr. Zhou that, so he doesn’t mistake us for thieves!"
"Fine, no problem. Now release Miss Zhou and go," Qin Fan said with a small smile and a nod.
"Okay, okay!" The two nannies hesitated, exchanging a look before nodding nervously.
With that, they grabbed a key from the table, walked to a bedroom door, and twisted it open. The moment the lock clicked, they bolted out of the villa.
Seeing this, Qin Fan smiled with amusement. His gaze shifted to the now-open bedroom door.
Suddenly, a burst of crazed laughter erupted. A barefoot Zhou Xueman, dressed in a striking red outfit, leaped out of the bedroom. Holding a crumpled fan, she hopped onto a chair, her eyes wild and unfocused.
"Hahaha! Invincible! Invincible! I am Dongfang Bubai!"
"Miss Zhou, do you remember me?" Qin Fan asked with a quiet smile, watching her frenzied state.
Though she had gone mad, it didn’t mean she couldn’t hear. Upon hearing Qin Fan’s voice, she turned her head to look at him. But the moment her gaze met his, boundless terror flooded her wild, unfocused eyes.
"Demon! Demon! Don’t kill me! Don’t kill me! I’m scared! I’m scared!"
She had gone insane, but the psychological trauma remained. The moment she saw Qin Fan’s face, the traumatic memory resurfaced. Her whole body began to tremble violently. In her madness, she subconsciously began to tear off her glaring red clothes. Her memory still held the scene of her being naked, and as a conditioned reflex, her subconscious compelled her to reenact it.
She tore off every piece of clothing, tossing it aside. With her hair in disarray, she crouched on the chair, not daring to look at Qin Fan again.
Gazing at her naked form, Qin Fan’s eyes showed no flicker of emotion. He stood up and walked over to her, reaching out to lift her chin.
"No... don’t kill... don’t die... don’t die!"
She didn’t resist his touch, keeping her eyes squeezed shut. She trembled uncontrollably, mumbling incoherently, unable to face the man who was, in her mind, a murderous demon.
Gazing at Zhou Xueman’s genuinely delicate features, Qin Fan sighed softly. "It’s good that you’ve gone mad. This way, you don’t have to suffer so much. Heh..."
From beginning to end, he felt not a single shred of guilt for being the instigator. On the contrary, allowing her to live was, in his view, an act of unimaginable mercy.
Just as Qin Fan finished his quiet lament, Zhou Xueman suddenly burst into tears, wailing, "Daddy! Mommy! WAAAH! WAAAH!"
At the villa entrance, Zhou Yihang had just stepped wearily out of his car. He was still reeling from the shock of seeing the Bentley parked outside when he heard Xueman’s wails. He immediately roared in anger.
"Xueman! Xueman, what’s wrong? Sister Wang! Sister Li! What the hell am I paying you for? I told you to look after Xueman, and you can’t even do that right!"
Then he raced into the villa.
But when he saw the figure that immediately came into view, he froze as if struck by lightning, utterly dumbfounded.
