The Revenge of the Reborn Supreme Sovereign-Chapter 146 - 143: Trouble? Kill You!
He turned around and said to Ye Jizu, "Elder Ye, tell your men to call off the investigation!"
"This... Master Qin, what do you mean by this?" Ye Jizu asked, looking utterly confused.
"It means I have a lead, so you can stop the inquiries! In any case, thank you," Qin Fan said, offering a fist and palm salute.
A lead? He got a lead just by standing on the balcony for a moment?
Ye Jizu was even more baffled. What in the world is going on?
But he knew there were things he wasn’t meant to know. Qin Fan had displayed his mysterious nature more than once. After a moment of stupor, Ye Jizu accepted it and said, "Alright! I’ll do as you say, Master Qin! As for thanks, please don’t mention it. I barely did anything! Haha!"
"Alright, you should head back. I’ll remember what you’ve done for me," Qin Fan said with a light smile, pointing to his heart.
His favorable impression of Ye Jizu had grown significantly after this incident. Although he knew Ye Jizu was so attentive because he wanted to get on his good side, that was just how the world worked. If you had no value or couldn’t offer any benefit, why would anyone go out of their way for you? Successful people never cared about the reasons; only those at the bottom of society would harp on about such weak and biased arguments. Having spent hundreds of years on the Cangqiong Continent, Qin Fan had seen through it all.
"Okay, I’ll be on my way then! Farewell, Master Qin!"
With a nod from Qin Fan, Ye Jizu left the hospital room.
Right after, Qin Fan returned to his parents’ room. He smiled at them and said, "Dad, Mom, I asked the doctor. He said you’re both fine and can be discharged anytime! Let’s go home!"
"Yes, let’s go. Your father and I don’t want to stay in a place like this anyway. It’s too oppressive and stifling!" Wei Shuying said, quickly getting out of bed.
"Alright, let’s head home now!"
Putting his arms around his parents’ shoulders, the family of three walked out. Outside the hospital, he hailed a taxi, and they headed back to the urban village.
「Half an hour later.」
Qin Fan placed two sliced apples on the table. "Dad, Mom, have an apple, then go get some rest and calm your nerves. I need to go out and buy a few things!"
"Okay, you go on ahead!" Wei Shuying replied with a smile.
Qin Fan nodded, stood up, and walked out. Before leaving, he once again set up a Divine Thought Barrier inside the house. If anything unexpected were to happen, he would be able to sense it immediately.
After leaving the house, he spread his Divine Sense outwards. With his current Foundation Establishment Stage cultivation, covering the entire city of Jiangzhou was no difficult task.
When his Divine Sense detected the two voices from the earlier call with Bai Li heading toward the Military General Hospital, Qin Fan’s lips curved into an icy smirk. He drove the Bentley out of the parking lot and sped off.
「Soon after.」
In an alley behind the Military General Hospital, Qin Fan leaned against a lamppost. He tilted his head back slightly, exhaling a puff of smoke. Suddenly, a wicked smile touched his lips as he counted down under his breath, "Three, two, one! Here they come!"
Sure enough, as the words left his mouth, two figures appeared from around the corner and entered the alley. They both exuded a sinister aura, like that of people who frequently groveled in the darkness underground. Such an aura would be enough to make any ordinary person keep their distance.
Qin Fan, however, remained completely unmoved, his gaze mockingly fixed on the two approaching men.
"Stop right there," Qin Fan said suddenly, just as the two expressionless men were about to walk past him.
SWOOSH!
Hearing his voice, the two men froze.
"Is there a problem?" a gloomy voice asked, his back still turned to Qin Fan.
"I’m here to kill you."
As those words were spoken, a ferocious killing intent erupted from Qin Fan. In that instant, the temperature in the entire alley seemed to plummet.
The two men in white’s eyes widened in shock!
Enveloped in that dangerous aura, the two men, acting in perfect concert, spun around and launched a ferocious attack on Qin Fan! Whooshing through the air, their fists and legs carried a terrifying force as they cut a path straight toward him!
"You should never have laid your hands on my parents. From that moment on, the Death God had already issued your final ultimatum. You should thank Heaven for letting you live a few more hours!" Qin Fan spoke with cold indifference, easily dodging their slow-motion attacks by ducking his head and twisting his body.
The moment he finished speaking, he had already woven through their attacks with deft footwork and appeared right in front of them.
He raised a hand and shot it forward in a blur of motion. The two men in white didn’t even see what happened.
The next thing they knew, their bodies were lifted into the air, hoisted up by their necks in Qin Fan’s grip.
"You’re Qin Fan!" the two men cried out in unison, their eyes wide with disbelief and terror.
"You guessed right! Now, tell me, who was your contact in Jiangzhou? How did you track down my parents?" Qin Fan demanded with utter coldness, his voice, like that of a Shura, chillingly reverberating in the men’s ears.
"You want to know? Find out yourself, haha—!" Realizing they were facing Qin Fan, the two men abandoned all hope of survival.
"Is that so? I’m confident you’ll tell me willingly."
With a sinister smile, Qin Fan tightened his grip slightly. Streams of his domineering energy surged from his fingertips into the men’s bodies! He then contemptuously tossed them to the ground.
In the next moment, the two men screamed in agony.
They began to frantically claw at their own bodies, overwhelmed by the sensation of ten thousand ants gnawing at them from within. Their clothes were torn to shreds. Their flesh was gouged into bloody grooves. Their thick veins bulged as if about to burst, only to recede, then swell again in a vicious cycle. Each shift between swelling and subsiding subjected them to the torture of teetering on the brink of death.
Combined with the agony of what felt like ten thousand ants gnawing at their insides, this was the very definition of a fate worse than death!
"Now, are you ready to talk?" Qin Fan asked coldly, his face devoid of expression. Looking down on them from above, he was like a Hell Rakshasa who regarded human life as nothing more than weeds.
"Give me a quick death! Please, just kill me! I beg you!" their bodies mangled and oozing blood, the two men pleaded mournfully, their hands never ceasing their desperate, frantic scratching for even a second. This was a true fate worse than death!
"Tell me," Qin Fan repeated, emphasizing each word.
"Please, kill me, I beg you—! Ah! Ah! Ah!" Instead of answering, the man continued to scream and plead.
"Heh."
Qin Fan shook his head. "Don’t worry. It’ll be over naturally in two hours."
With that, Qin Fan turned to leave.
Two hours? We have to endure this torture for another two hours? No, we can’t even stand another second of this!
Watching Qin Fan’s departing figure, the two men shrieked hysterically.
"I’ll talk! I’ll talk! I’ll tell you! Just make it stop! Kill me!"
