The Reborn Aristocrat's Daughter-Chapter 824 - 788 Investigation Confession (2)_2
Chapter 824: Chapter 788 Investigation Confession (2)_2
Xiao Muli might have sensed the environment around him changing, but he had initially thought it was just his own illusion. When he actually opened his eyes and looked at the scenery in the space, his level of surprise was no less than that of Old Master Situ and the others when they first entered the space.
Xiao Muli looked at the scenery within the space, feeling his eyes weren’t enough. Situ Xin and Baibai watched Xiao Muli with surprised faces, eyes wide open, unblinkingly surveying the surroundings, both covering their mouths to stifle laughs.
"Wow, Master, Xiao Muli looks absolutely dumbfounded," Baibai said, lying at Situ Xin’s feet. Ever since Situ Xin became pregnant, he had been bereft of her embraces.
"He does seem a bit stupefied. But that’s a normal reaction for Muli," Situ Xin thought the same as Baibai, yet she still felt a little conscience, knowing she should speak in defense of her husband. Her comment, however, earned a roll of the eyes from Baibai.
As Situ Xin and Baibai were chatting, Xiao Muli also shifted his gaze. "Wife, you and Baibai actually badmouthed me. Baibai, you little rascal, daring to call me by name!"
"Eh?" "Huh?" Xiao Muli’s words caused Situ Xin and Baibai both to widen their eyes in surprise.
Baibai looked incredulously at Xiao Muli and asked, "You, can you hear me speak?" Situ Xin also asked, "Muli, you can hear Baibai speak?"
"Yeah, I heard everything you and Baibai just said," Xiao Muli admitted honestly. Strangely, he didn’t find the ability to hear Baibai speak to be shocking at all. Xiao Muli might not have felt anything unusual, but Situ Xin and Baibai were completely taken aback.
"Baibai, how can Muli hear you speak?" Situ Xin turned to question Baibai, who often knew more about certain things than she did. "When my grandparents were here, they couldn’t hear you speaking to me, right?"
"How would I know," Baibai really wanted to roll its eyes again but restrained itself after seeing the warning look in Situ Xin’s eyes. It quickly changed its tone: "Ah, Master, just wait a moment, let me check. I’ll look it up."
After rummaging through its legacy, Baibai said somewhat uncertainly to Situ Xin: "It might be because you and Muli have formed the most intimate of bonds, and Muli’s body has taken on your Spiritual Energy, thereby connecting him with this space, and naturally, he can understand the speech of your contracted beast—me, Baibai. Maybe after the little masters are born, they will also be able to hear me." Baibai found this notion exciting: "Ah, that would be fantastic! Then I won’t be lonely anymore. I’ll have someone to talk to."
"Oh, so that’s how it is," Situ Xin replied, not fully understanding Baibai’s explanation but grasping the gist of it.
"What are you two talking about? I don’t quite follow," Xiao Muli didn’t quite get what Situ Xin and Baibai were discussing.
"Oh, don’t worry about it if you don’t understand; I didn’t get it all that clearly either," Situ Xin said, waving her hand dismissively. "Here, let me introduce this to you—this is my Personal Space. You know, the fruits and vegetables we usually eat all come from this space."
"What about that master of yours?" Xiao Muli asked, remembering Situ Xin’s previous claim.
"Ha ha, that, well, I don’t really have a master. That was just an excuse I made up," Situ Xin forced a laugh and explained: "You know, I was young back then, and it wasn’t convenient for me to do certain things, so I had to come up with a master as a cover."
"I understand," Xiao Muli nodded and reached out to stroke Situ Xin’s hair.
"How do you like my Personal Space? Isn’t it wonderful?" Situ Xin bragged about her Personal Space to Xiao Muli like a child showing off a treasure.
"Yes, it is amazing. I never imagined that such a miraculous thing could exist in this world," Xiao Muli said, looking around the Personal Space with a touch of emotion. "But, wife, the air here in your space seems much better than outside. I was feeling exhausted just a moment ago, but now I feel very spirited, and all the tiredness is gone."
"Hmph, such a country bumpkin, you know nothing. This isn’t just any air, this is Spiritual Energy, get it? Spiritual Energy," Baibai looked disdainfully at Xiao Muli, venting its own frustrations. Recently, because of the wedding and moving into the Xiao Family home, Situ Xin had tossed Baibai into the space, leaving it, or rather, one tiger, alone and bored to death. Now that it found someone to release its pent-up feelings on, Baibai couldn’t help itself.
"Spiritual Energy?" Xiao Muli wasn’t upset by Baibai’s comment. To him, it was just a talking pet; why would he stoop to its level? If Baibai knew Xiao Muli’s thoughts about it, it would probably be hopping mad.
"Yes, Spiritual Energy. You might not know about it. I’ll show you a book later, and you’ll understand what Spiritual Energy is," Situ Xin said. She didn’t bring Xiao Muli into her Personal Space just for a visit; she intended to set him on the path of Cultivation. "Come with me, I’ll give you a tour of the space, and while we’re at it, I’ll tell you something else."
Situ Xin took Xiao Muli on a leisurely tour of the space and shared with him the concept of Cultivation. After getting his agreement to start cultivating, she gave him a book on beginner Cultivation for him to study.
Furthermore, Situ Xin assigned Xiao Muli a task to discuss Cultivation with his grandfather, Old Master Situ. Honestly, she was getting a little tired of repeating the same thing over and over.
