Chapter 338: The change in a Events - III

~ in a small village bothering Astria(Melenmore)~

Eskiel came inside the small cottage where I was staying. It was where they had decided to rest for the night because the journey ahead was going to be dangerous.

My sweet word, aching and so was most of my body. The journey had been long and gruesome but it had been important for my survival.

The small army that I had been traveling with could not be seen by a lot of people because it would raise alarms and concerns among people. The night was the best travel and the day was beginning to start. So we had to put the journey to rest at the moment.

In this part of the country, not many people might recognise me, but I was not going to take the chance. The risks that I had taken in my life had been evaluated very carefully and at the moment, that careful evaluation was everything I depended on.

Many people were going to recognise me from the events that they had seen or the people who had heard about me while they were in the markets. It was not how to forget about someone who was so frequently mentioned.

"What is it that you are bringing me for news?" I asked my trusted nephew. He was my only nephew. The last remaining piece of my brother in this world. "Please, for the sake of heaven above, let it be something of value and positivity."

There was no change in his expressions, which let me know that New is not as well as I saw it would be. "The vampire king has turned every staff member into a creature of the night. The loyalty between us and them has been served permanently."

My eyes closed at the information as the horror of what happened washed over me. No one in the staff would bear loyalty to me that only meant one thing, I had to leave the kingdom behind.

There was no way that I could ever go back. Not with the amount of people that could now support him.

It was a wonder to me how quickly he gained such an amount of followers. Some of his own and some he forced to be with him. At this rate, he was going to win.

"What do you want to do, aunt?" Ezskiel asked, waiting for me to tell him something to do.

Had it been my brother and his place, he would have suggested that we do something. He was the chief of my army because of a reason. And because of his absence, I was suffering.

The girl was of no use. In whatever way she had decided to use the poison, it had been a failure, it had resulted in nothing!

I had expected her to use it correctly, put them die, but she had failed in the winter. In fact, she costed me my stuff that were supposed to tell me what was going on. Now, I had nothing.

"What do you think I should do, dear nephew?" I asked him. "You have a mind of your own. They must have something you think I should do."

His cheeks reddened and I held the scoff in. "I have not prepared for this day yet. I wanted to be, but you and father refused to trade me."

We had refused to train him for war, but had never denied him to use his brain. However, just like my child, this one, but also not blessed with it.

What should I do in a situation like this? I was surrounded by idiots. None of the men that I trusted were not with me. They were all in hiding like I was, and I knew that they carried much more resources. Then I did at the moment.

"What do you know about the Army in melenmore?" That was the only thing that I could hope was going according to our plan.

"Half of it as we wanted has gone to the note. Even if they choose to return Midway, it will take them a week to come back."

Yes, the snow would make it difficult for them and most of them that would return would not be in the condition to perform well and fight in the war.

But if I chose to assume the next move, I would make it because of that fact, I could make some difference to my current situation. The family in this country was already cracked and it would not take me a long time to make sure that they broke up or before picking them up one by want to kill.

At least I would have a kingdom in my name this way, otherwise it would be difficult to reclaim what was once mine.

"gather around the soldiers, my dear nephew. We have to change the course of a direction and plans. It is time for us to now act." I smiled at him. "It is also time for me to declare who will be the one incharge except for me."

The smile that made its way to his face was enough for me to know that he liked the idea of him being in charge.

One thing about men was that they loved power, and since I promised him that, I knew I had his endless support because I was the one who was going to plan ahead.

But one thing it seems that my brother had forgotten to teach his son was that, everyone was disposable and so was my dear nephew. Until, he provided his services that is.

"I shall gather everyone around then." He bowed slightly before excusing himself and walking out of here.

The moment he left, I stood up and walked over to the map of the realm. Picking up the small piece of marble, I placed it over the palace of Melenmore.

That was my next target. That was my next destination.
