The Princess's Dangerous Vampire Mate-Chapter 329: Sleeping beauty- III
Tristan was a handsome man. His red eyes might look scary, but they also look like Rubies there any woman would kill to have. His nose was perfect along with his chin. And his jawline was something that could attract anyone.
He was tall, muscular, and strong. Intelligent and someone who had humor and wit with it.
All in all, along with having the title of king, Tristan was the perfect man for anyone to marry. The most encouraging advantage was that I had fallen in love with this man.
I had fallen in love with him when he had nothing and when I was no one. That was the kind of love I had always longed for. Where the man I had fallen in love with could not care about the title and the crown I would bring, but just me and my heart.
He was that person.
He might be someone else now. The person that he was now might pay his true nature in fact but nothing changed if I get a hair fall in love with him when he had bared his soul to me.
I had been bitten by him, it has kept me to no limits especially when he was being forced to the floor because he was going to attack me. That would be enough to scare anybody away.
But then why was it that whenever he was in the same room as me, when he so much so has looked at me, my heart started to beat quickly and I blushed.
The same reactions I had when he was trying to be a merchant.
My heart and mind which had been angry and agitated earlier calmed down significantly. I understood why he said that. It was because I was always trying to push him away.
"You repulse me in no way, Tristan." I replied, staring into his eyes like I had done several times before. "I don’t think you can ever repulse me."
Tristan stared at me for a few seconds like he was trying to believe me. He took a seat at the end of my bed and I called my legs underneath me.
"Then tell me, why do you not want to marry me?" he asked. "Why do you always try to push me away?"
"What else am I supposed to do?" I scoffed in helplessness and got off the bed. "What am I.. Should I hug and sing with you instead? Share love promises and what not?"
"You had absolutely no problems doing that before. Why can we not do it now?"
Lethoris, when we were in lethoris. He was talking about that time when neither of us were aware of who we truly were.
When all the memories of the times we spent together, laughing and smiling without any worries of the world cloud my mind, I felt my mouth quivering and the familiar feeling of tears building in my eyes.
"I.." I breathed in, it was difficult to talk without choking up on my cries. "because it was different, Tristan. Things have changed now."
"Pray tell, who changed them? I never did, You never did, so, who has changed all of these things amongst us?"
He continued, "I hid something and you hid something. Both of them were significantly big enough to cause damage to our relationship but both of us had the exact same thing from each other. Our identities. You Were a princess bethprowd to marry another King and I was a vampire born to take the throne from that very king."
Within a second, he was in front of me but his hand on my cheeks that covered almost all of my face. "Then at the end of it all, who ended up together. I am the king you were supposed to marry, son of the late king Aurthur."
"What?" I blinked in surprise. Where did he that understanding?
He nodded. "Don’t you see it? You were always supposed to marry a king. A king from the line of king Arthur and I am his son."
"Tristan," I shook his hands away from my face and stepped out of his hold, "that is an assumption." It was nothing more than that an assumption at best. It could be how fate had turned out to be in our favor at best but we were still saying for the consequences of that.
"It is a silver lining that I found in our situation. You always want me gone and you want me gone even now. You could never accept the fact that you love someone like me Genevive. That only leaves me with the option of making sure that you always stay with me whether you want it or not." He stepped back, anger clouding his face. " You always make me do this. You always promise to give me a chance and yet you never do."
"I never do?!" I pointed a finger on my chest in shock of his words before pointing it back at him. "You were the one who went back on your word about the execution. You agreed that if I signed my life away, death or not, you would let the workers go. Did you let them go out, Tristan?"
"I never promised you anything. Do you remember me agreeing , verbal or in writing, to the fact that I was going to do as you wanted?"
"No," I agreed. "because as always, you gave me the reason to want you to go away."
Once again, he was right in front of my face but I did not step back. Instead, I met him head on.
"don’t you dare blame me for that. I will never give you a reason to walk away from me." He gritted out and even in the darkness of the room, I could see a hint of his fangs.
I scoffed, "On the contrary, you—"
I gasped When it lost the distance between us and his lips met mine, silencing me.
