The Princess Kidnapping System Made Me OP-Chapter 90: Goblin Raid
"Goblins are coming..."
"Huh?!" Mirabell exclaimed, her eyes darting from place to place.
When the bushes some distance away from them began to rustle, she paled.
Wise waved his hand in a dismissive manner. "They are just goblins, little perverts, it’s not like it’s something serious."
Mirabell sucked in a sharp breath, trying her best not to hyperventilate.
Meanwhile, Daphne pulled her up to a sitting position, while Wise knelt next to her. "Now let’s take a look at that knee—ouch, that doesn’t look so good."
The young woman winced in pain when Wise felt her kneecaps. "Well, it’s not broken at least..."
His right hand gave off a blue light and a few items fell atop the floor.
Bandages, two healing potions, and a clip.
"Why do you have this stuff with you?" she asked, staring at his little collection.
He shrugged. "In case one of the girls gets injured while training."
Wise picked up the bandage and stared at the bushes just as a green head stuck out of it, followed by several more heads.
The goblins stepped into the clearing, sinister smiles on their faces as they licked their lips, their eyes locked on Daphne and Mirabell.
It was almost as if he didn’t exist...
The ugly little things were short, only about the size of two buckets stacked atop each other, and had fat irregularly shaped bodies.
Their eyes were yellowed all through, pupils and all, and they stunk of shit, piss, and everything in between.
Mirabell began to tremble, her hand found its way to her collar and she tightened her grip around it to the point that he almost choked.
"D-Daphne," he coughed before pulling her hand off.
He inhaled before continuing. "It seems this is your lucky day!" Wise said as he cut the bandage to the appropriate length, staring at it with more focus than necessary.
"Don’t tell the others, but you get a bonus class just for this time only!"
Daphne unsheathed her blade as she heard his words, the dark blue sword reflecting the light softly, as it gleamed with pure steel lethality.
"Uduga!"
The first goblin screamed as it charged towards Daphne, a club lifted high up in the air.
Wise uncorked the potion bottle...
"Is she going to be alright on her own?" Mirabell asked, watching as Daphne got ready for the attack.
Wise shrugged and shoved the bottle in her mouth, tilting it so that she could drink the entire thing in one go.
"Who knows?" he said, watching as she flailed her arms around, choking, as the potion climbed up her nose.
"Haaaaa!" she bucked over, coughing out some potion.
Mirabell immediately glared at him, her face red. "Are you trying to kill me?!"
"Relax... I’m a professional."
Then he glanced at the battlefield, where Daphne was tangoing with the goblins.
"Behead that one!"
Swoosh!
Her slim rapier went through its neck like butter, sending the goblin’s ugly head flying in the air.
"Stab to the heart... now!"
The sword had been designed more for stabbing, so it was far too easy. The blade slid through its ribs, bursting out of the other side with a wave of thick blood.
Mirabell stared at the battle in awe, watching as Daphne gracefully decimated the goblins. Meanwhile, Wise’s hand was slowly reaching for her knees...
"Forward slash!"
"Tuck your stomach."
"Swing with both arms!"
As Wise barked commands to Daphne, she manoeuvred her way through the group.
A goblin charged at her from her back, its short stone dagger moving toward her side, but Daphne dodged, narrowly evading the strike.
Then she flipped backward, right above two more goblins that had lunged at her, splitting their heads open just as she flew past them.
She landed, her feet slid over the dried leaves that bathed the floor, and slowly came to a stop.
Daphne took a deep breath, sweat forming on her brow as she glanced at the remaining goblins.
She had not kept count of how many she had killed, but now, there were about seven of the little vermin left.
"Be alert!" Wise instructed, and Daphne ducked just as a club came flying above her head.
Her leg was already moving, sweeping the goblin that had sneak attacked her off its feet.

Just as the goblin fell, Daphne dug her sword into its eyes, twisting the blade as the goblin thrashed around until it eventually came to a stop.
Crack!
"AHHHHHHHH!" A high pitched voice cut through the forest, followed by an evil laugh.
Wise had used her moment of distraction to crack Mirabell’s knees back in place, causing her excruciating pain.
Mirabell, too stunned to speak, was trying her best not to cry while Wise smiled.
"Don’t worry, the pain means it’s working,"
he snickered, as he dabbed some potion on the bandage and began wrapping it around her knees.
"Daphne," Wise sang her name melodiously. He was having way too much fun. "Seven goblins, four minutes. If you succeed, I’ll do anything you want."
At the mention of his last words, the forest suddenly became slightly darker and a tad more eerie.
The harmless shadows all around them suddenly felt a bit more sinister, more deadly...
The goblin in front of the group took a step back and bumped into another goblin, who angrily shoved it to the side.
"Shupaya nikoto!" it said, cursing in the goblin tongue, and it began walking forward, a club in each hand.
Daphne watched the goblin, not moving from her spot as her eyes took note of each of their positions, her pupil colder than an endless void.
Strangely, she felt more in control of her abilities than she had done a few weeks ago.
’The training must be paying off...’ she thought just as the goblin took another step.
Whoosh!
All the goblins saw was a flash of darkness. All they noticed at first was that their champion had stopped moving.
But fear only gripped their hearts when they saw the head of their comrade slip down his shoulders.
And burst into pieces as Daphne stomped on it, her dark hair fluttering by her sides.
That day, they saw the devil.
The devil did not have horns, it did not look evil, nor did it have sharp teeth.
No, the devil was a pretty lady.
She had a pretty smile and wore the prettiest clothes.
But she was darker than the blackest darkness.
That was the last thought they had, just before the void consumed them whole.
