The Prime Minister Seduced Me to have Babies!-Chapter 469: No More Bets
Not long after Jiang Youzhi left the casino, Dayah, dressed in men’s clothing, walked in.
She had followed two people all the way from outside the tavern.
She was tall and sturdy, and her male attire looked perfectly natural. Even if someone stared at her closely, they wouldn’t see that she was a woman.
Once inside the casino, she quickly found Jiang Rong.
Jiang Rong stood before a long table, holding a stack of chips and gambling on dice sizes with someone.
He was tensely staring at the dice cup, as if trying to see the dice inside through the cup. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺
Silently, Dayah approached behind Jiang Rong. As she passed by him, the silver needle wedged between her fingers stabbed into Jiang Rong’s waist like a flash of lightning.
Jiang Rong only felt a sensation like a mosquito bite on his waist. He didn’t even turn his head, just reached back to scratch, and continued staring at the dice cup.
The dealer was finally about to lift the cup.
The dealer’s hand suddenly lifted the lid and shouted, "Four, five, six! Fifteen - Big!"
Jiang Rong’s face lit up with excitement, shouting, "I won! I won!"
The dealer pushed a pile of chips towards him. Jiang Rong looked at the growing pile of chips, unable to contain his excitement. He had bet quite a lot this round and won nearly seventy taels.
This casino was fantastic, the stakes were high, much more thrilling than the little games with a few Copper Coins in the countryside.
Dayah had already moved far away. She hadn’t left; she just glanced over occasionally.
Jiang Rong continued gambling.
His winning streak was unstoppable, everything he bet on hit.
The pile of chips in front of him had grown enormous, worth an estimated thousand taels in Silver.
Jiang Rong’s appetite grew; once again, the dealer shouted, "Place your bets, place your bets, bet big, win big, bet small, win small." Jiang Rong steeled himself and pushed all his chips forward.
He thought to himself, if he won this round, he’d have nearly two thousand taels in Silver, then he could leave.
The surrounding gamblers buzzed with discussion. After all, this pile of chips was substantial, a high roller with over a thousand taels in Silver, few were seen gambling outside, typically invited to play in the VIP rooms inside.
Listening to the envious chatter around him, Jiang Rong felt increasingly elated, convinced Xiang City was his lucky place and he was about to reach the pinnacle of life.
The dealer saw most of the bets placed and shouted, "No more bets!"
"Opened!"
As the dice cup was revealed, Jiang Rong’s eyes widened in shock, it was a triple, the dealer swept the table!
Sweat appeared on Jiang Rong’s forehead; this round, his entire stack would be lost, worth over a thousand taels in Silver!
The dealer moved his chips over to their side.
Jiang Rong felt his heart piercing in agony, suddenly yelling to the sky, "Ah—" then he fainted backwards stiffly.
The surrounding gamblers were startled and scattered.
San Ya, who had been observing, calmly squeezed through the crowd to leave.
The casino was unsurprised by such occurrences; people fainting from excitement after winning big or collapsing from distress after losing was not uncommon.
A steward quickly came over, squatted, and nudged Jiang Rong, "Hey, wake up!"
Jiang Rong was unresponsive.
Noticing something wrong, the steward placed his fingers under Jiang Rong’s nose, checking for breath.
After some time, he felt nothing.
The steward grew anxious, then checked the side of his neck for a pulse, finding none either.
The surrounding gamblers gathered, discussing the situation.
Someone asked, "Is he dead?"
"Probably, he doesn’t look right."
"No way, he was fine just now."
