The President is Being Shameless Again-Chapter 379: Getting A Marriage Certificate Without Uttering A Word.
As the mother and daughter returned to their seats, Tang Jiatian’s mother could not bear it anymore and said, “Foolish child, how could you run around to other people’s tables. What if you make them mad?”
“My Godde…” Tang Jiatian immediately corrected herself, “Big sis Silent Words is a nice lady.”
…
That night, a netizen with an ID named Hello Goddess My Surname is Tang posted something on Weibo: “I went to a wedding with my parents today at noon. Who would’ve thought that I’d bump into Yu Linling and Silent Words, and they’re the groomsman and maid of honor for the wedding? They even sang Tied by Fate there, and the live version was so nice as well. The goddess was not out of tune at all, and it was still beautiful without any autotune. After getting consent from the goddess and our Great Lord Yu Linling, I’ll attach the live video of the performance here. Although, I placed a large mask on their faces to protect the privacy of the goddess and the great lord. [Haha].”
Sure enough, in the video, Wei Zilin and Xu Moyan’s faces were almost entirely covered up. They had animated hats on their heads and pink masks on their faces. Only their eyes were exposed, but no one could not make out anything from it at all.
However, from the sound of it, it really did sound like Yu Linling and Silent Words’ voices.
It was just that the microphone at the scene had amplified the sound, and those types of equipment were not typically used for singing. Plus, due to the mobile phone’s poor audio recording, the music was not as accurate as listening to them live.
There were skeptical netizens, but before they had the time to doubt the video, Xu Moyan reposted the Weibo post.
Perhaps she was afraid that Xu Moyan would not know it was her. So, Tang Jiatian changed her Weibo ID to that name, and she even tagged Xu Moyan and Wei Zilin on the post.
Silent Words: I didn’t expect that the young lady I met at the wedding would turn out to be a fan of mine; she was a particularly adorable young girl.
Since Xu Moyan had spoken, Wei Zilin could not just watch and do nothing.
Hence, he reposted Xu Moyan’s post as well.
Yu Linling: The two of us sang this song live for the first time, and it worked out quite well.
As the two of them had reposted it, the netizens who had been skeptical in the first place were lost for words.
Yu Linling and Silent Words’ fans rushed forth one after another.
“Goddess, when are you and the great lord getting married?”
“Today you’re attending someone else’s wedding, tomorrow it’ll be your own wedding.”
“The goddess is so skinny, and the great lord’s so tall. The height difference looks lovely!”
“The great lord’s figure and height are just simply perfect, a true male idol. It would be better if we could see his face.”
“This wedding looks so grand and high-end. Whose wedding is it?”
“I’m in B City. I heard it was Yan Beicheng’s wedding day today. It seems that the great lord has a good relationship with Yan Beicheng and the others.”
“Silent Words must have been the woman who saved the entire universe in her last life.”
Wei Zilin closed his Weibo and said to Xu Moyan with a smile, “Why don’t we post it online once we get our certificate, so they won’t always have to wonder about our wedding date.”
…
On May 28, Wei Zilin and Xu Moyan went early in the morning to queue up for the wedding certificates.
They took the photos, handed the materials over, and made their vows. Then, they waited for the papers to be processed.
The whole morning passed by in an instant.
It was already noon when the two got their permits, and even the staff of the civil affairs bureau were about to go on their lunch break.
Because it was so late in the day, they decided to head to Old Master Wei’s place at night. The whole Wei Family would be there around that time, too.
Even Xu Qingrui and Li Lanying took two and a half days off from work and set off to B City from Jin City in the afternoon.
It was a big deal for them that their daughter was getting her certificate. They came to celebrate with the Wei Family today and would head back to Jin City tomorrow.
Wei Zilin gave Old Master Wei a call to notify him of the situation before heading back to Wei Yang Garden with Xu Moyan.
Even though they came from Wei Yang Garden in the morning, they were now a different frame of mind as they returned home.
In the morning, she left the house as Wei Zilin’s fiancée.
Now, she returned to the house as his wife. Wei Yang Garden had officially become her home, and that made her feel different.
This would be where she would live in the future unless they had to move houses.
However, she felt that the rooms in the house were more than adequate. There was no need for them to torment themselves over finding a new place unless it was absolutely necessary.
Seeing Xu Moyan looking around the house as if she was entering it for the first time ever, Wei Zilin could not help but ask, “What’s wrong?”
Xu Moyan stopped looking and gave him a smile, “I’m looking around at my future home.”
This made Wei Zilin smile warmly, he proceeded to wrap his arms around her waist. “Our future home.”
Xu Moyan smiled and nodded, “Yeah.”
“Do you want to move to a new house?” Wei Zilin asked.
“Why did you ask that so suddenly?” Xu Moyan wondered.
“I wanted to buy a new house as our marriage home and decorate it according to your preferences.” Wei Zilin glanced around, “In the beginning, I let the designer decide everything for me and let him do what he thought was best. He only needed to report the progress of the house to me in a certain time frame. I didn’t personally choose all this furniture. He made some choices according to my preferences and let me choose from said choices. You can say that I wasn’t wholehearted about it and that these pieces of furniture were based on my preferences at the time. Now that we’re both living here, it feels a little too masculine.”
“Nevertheless, the rooms we have now are enough,” Xu Moyan said. “I’ve gotten used to living here too and moving is a lot of work.”
“When we have children in the future, a boy and a girl. We should get a bigger space for the children to play in,” Wei Zilin said with a chuckle.
Xu Moyan blushed and never expected that he would have already pictured their lives so far ahead.
“You don’t want to move?” Wei Zilin asked as he lowered his head.
Xu Moyan nodded, “This is where we started together. I’ve grown attached to this place.”
This is the home where Wei Zilin had lived for a long time. Even though the place was quite masculine in design, every corner was painted with details of his life.
“There are a lot of memories here. There are memories of when you used to live here on your own, and memories of when I first came here. We’ve recorded here, and I stayed with you for the first time here. It’s the place where we initially lived together, and I’m familiar with every corner of it. It’s hard to let it go.” Xu Moyan hugged Wei Zilin’s arm. “Let’s not move.”
“Alright,” Wei Zilin happily agreed. His voice was clear like a blowing breeze. “Then, if we don’t have anything to do later, let’s go to Furniture City and replace all the furniture. We’re married now, so no matter what, we still need to get new things. Don’t argue with me on this. Plus, all the furniture has been around for years, it’s about time to change them.”
Xu Moyan nodded and said, yes, this time. As she really wanted to personally participate in replacing all the furniture to better suit both their tastes.
The current furniture was not at all unsightly, but it was a taste that would be more suitable for a bachelor. It did not look like a couple was living there.
She also wanted to decorate the home and make it cozier, as they had just gotten married.
At noon, Wei Zilin did not let Xu Moyan cook for them. Aunt Liu came over and prepared a few simple dishes for them to eat together.
After lunch, Xu Moyan was planning to clean up and pack before heading out with Wei Zilin to Furniture City, but she was stopped by Wei Zilin.
“We haven’t taken a picture yet,” said Wei Zilin.
Xu Moyan did not respond for a moment, what picture?
So, she paused for a while and she hesitated.
Then, she saw Wei Zilin taking out the marriage certificate, “Didn’t we agree? After receiving the certificate that we’d announce it on Weibo.”
Xu Moyan actually forgot about such a significant thing.
After waiting all morning for the certificate, she was so excited and stirred up that she had no time to think about anything else.
After hearing those words, she pulled Wei Zilin back to sit down again.
Wei Zilin gathered everything on the coffee table and placed it aside, leaving ample space in the middle. He spread their marriage certificates across the table but did not open them, only the cover was exposed.
After arranging it in a position that made him feel satisfied, he held Xu Moyan’s hand. His hand covered hers as they overlapped, coincidentally forming a heart shape. He placed it in front of the marriage certificate.
Wei Zilin took his mobile phone out and took a photo. Then, he edited it, putting a retro-styled filter over it.
The coffee table was black and looked great as a background.
Wei Zilin immediately posted the photo on Weibo.
Yu Linling: Hello, my wife. Please treat me kindly from here on out. @SilentWords.
Xu Moyan copied Wei Zilin’s sentences and reposted it.
Silent Words: Hello, my husband. Please treat me kindly from here on out. @YuLinLing.
“It seems that only last month we were discussing when the great lord and goddess would get married. And this month, they’ve announced news of their marriage. From their dating days to their marriage, the great lord and goddess are so fast-paced.”
“Getting a marriage certificate without uttering a word. If you guys have the guts, post your wedding photos!”
Xu Moyan was amused by these words and closed her Weibo as she smiled. She went to Furniture City with Wei Zilin to select furniture and then confirmed the delivery time for it.
When it was time to pay, Wei Zilin did not reach for the cheque for the first time ever.
Before this, when he went out with Xu Moyan, he would always pay for everything. He refused to let Xu Moyan pay a single penny.
